We stayed for the firework on NYE and this hotel delivered!! (Although I did go to the pier to enjoy it with the crowd). This hotel is located above Cross Gate which is a 3-4 level mall mainly of restaurants. I missed the info that they have a car park right under the building so I parked for an hour outside but that's fine. I wish it was multiple entries though. Car park is definitely challenging for bigger cars but manageable. Back to the hotel, it's typical Japanese size or even smaller if it's a two bed room. Breakfast was proper buffet style and I mean the room can fit maybe 30-40 tables if not more so you can imagine their offering is superb in both western and Japanese style. My only regret is I was too tired to walk and try each plate they offer!! Room is tiny but it can be excused by the view. Although I saw some constructions starting so the view might be blocked next time I come :( The only concern I had is that some lifts can connect to the mall bypassing the reception. So literally anyone could arrive to your door, which caught me by surprise a little.

It is just opened in 6/5 and is clean in the hotel building and in the room. Access is a few minutes from Shin Takashima Station of Minato Mirai Line. I think it is based on the person, but if you walk from the east exit of JR Yokohama station to Nissan headquarters building, it is a hotel in another block, so there is a choice here if it is not painful to walk. 1F Enter the hotel entrance and the front desk is 9F so it is in the elevator. Check-in is paperless with automatic check-in machine. Check-out is at the counter. 10F On the above room floor, the security elevator that doesn't move if the card key is not swallowed. This room is room 1312 on the 13th floor. Room on the side of Minato Mirai Boulevard. The view from the room is Shiseido, Keifuku headquarters building, Minato Mirai Boulevard, bay quarter, etc. 43 inch Sony 4KTV has a button that can access hulu, NETFLIX, U-NEXT, AbemaTV, YouTube from the remote control. If you have registered guests in each service except Abema and YouTube, you can watch it. The lighting in the room is a little dark only by downlight. The room and unit bus are large enough (^ o ^) v hand soap is Laura Ashley. Body soap is Steven ･ nor. Amenities are also necessary for toothbrushes and shaver. There is a humid air purifier, a hot pot, and a refrigerator. There are coffee and Sencha amenities. There is a small moon object in the room. The bed was large and I could sleep well.

The luggage of two people was a bit cramped in this room. There was steak for breakfast, although the taste and texture were average, but it was better than nothing. The so-called pancakes were actually egg wrapped vegetables and the like, which was a bit unpalatable. It was very close to Yokohama Arena, which was the best point. I came here just for this reason, so it was convenient to watch the live show.

Nice hotel with beautiful view, staffs with good manner, hotel room was tidy and clean. Be reminded car parking requires 1600yen per night.

I absolutely love this hotel! The room was spacious compared to most hotels in Japan. Had a good night sleep and I'm usually a light sleeper even with the sound of the trains, it wasn't that noticeable for me. The cleaners are efficient and there is a communal table on the ground floor near reception which is a great spot for working while the cleaner is cleaning with access to cold tea and amenities. I didn't like the check in process with the male Chinese receptionist, I felt it was a bit difficult for him to check me in and was hesitant to give me free wifi so I could show him my reservation email, he eventually was able to find my reservation, this is a very minor complaint. I will definitely rebook again as the location is close to convenient stores and the train station and a nice stroll through the harbour and Collette Mane. Very affordable accommodation and great value for what you get compared to areas that are closer to Tokyo.

For me, the food is great, fit portions, while my partner thought the breakfast time was too early and affected the appetite for food. The location is great, it’s convenient. The environment is relaxing and quiet, the staffs are nice and good hospitality. We wish to visit again and stay longer as we both enjoy the hot spring days

This is my fav hotel during japan trip. Location is great, just few mins walk from exit station yokohama, with escalator access available. Yokohama is big city with easy access to tokyo, I highly recommend people coming to tokyo to stay in yokohama due to many factors! I chose this room because the size is bigger compared to hotels in tokyo, which turn out to be great! The room has big windows, sofa, enough space to open big luggages. We really find this as huge benefit cz small room really limit your movement. The amenities are available to pick up at lobby area, really convenient. Room is clean, well maintained, modern. Staff are friendly and efficient! Excellent stay overall and I would definitely come back if I go japan again!

Good hotel, very friendly staff at the reception and the staff of the washroom. Very clean hotel and not too expensive. The only less point is its AC rooms (central A-C) but the temperature is not very hot to set. Window can not open.

26th – 29th August 2023 Yokohama, Japan Mitsui Garden Hotel, Yokohama Some random thoughts / comments regarding our stay as they spring up: - Taxi arrives at G/F, no porter service but guests have to wheel luggage to 20/F to check in - ultra modern hotel, bright & airy, spacious lobby and so new – freshly opened in mid May 2023 - push through glass doors to fully exposed outdoor lounge with sofas and low coffee tables to sit and chill while enjoying a wide stretch of city view through wide glass panels - minimalism theme throughout the reception, lobby and extended to the rooms with clean, light beech minimalistic design - check in smooth and staff even though not the most conversant in English, pose no barriers in carrying out simple conversation - guests are to collect toiletries at a small nook beside the check in desk before heading up to the room--- choice of individually wrapped razor ; toothbrush+ paste ; shower cap; vanity set, comb, Q-tips to put inside a white zip-bloc to bring along to the room for own consumption - all toiletries are displayed bare for guests to take at liberty and every guest feels at ease to take what is needed without any staff there to peep over their shoulder—very generous hotel policy indeed - two bottles of water , tea sachets and drip coffee replenished daily - iron + ironing board provided upon request - the entire hotel, i.e. everywhere smells fresh, everywhere looks bright and clean - bedding and towels all white, fluffy and clean - slippers provided - USB and sockets all well positioned in the room - Telly available and a bottle of room freshener spray provided - shower & bathtub in one enclosed area to save space which in fact is a good and efficient idea to have everything confined to one space - very powerful shower with stable temperature that is easy to adjust - shower area completely watertight so can fully enjoy a nice relaxing shower after a long day and no need to mop the spills afterwards - body gel, shampoo + conditioner all in three separate commercial bottles with dispenser firmly installed onto the wall - big clean panes in room for a nice view overlooking the city and partial harbour - furniture in room is all clean and sofa not sunken, which is one of the advantages of a new hotel - room is not very big but very comfy because everything is very functional while minimalist design gives a contemporary, fuss-free vibe - spacious , bright and clean lobby on 20/F where there is an auto-play piano and there are sofas + reading floor lamps all around the piano, so guests are free to sit and relax with a book or just enjoy the piano when it auto plays at stipulated times - an intimate bar on the other side of the lobby overlooking the pool, but closes before 12am - a gym + pool also on lobby level - a restaurant on lobby floor that serves breakfast - “ Lawsons Convenience Store “ on 2/F, 7-11 and family Mart also close by - Yokohama Cosmo World and Marine Park at walkable distances - Safe, c

Absolutely in a very convenient location. Walking distance to the Shin-yokohama station and shopping centre. 2-3 minutes walk to car rental company. Surrounded by convenient stores, cafes and restaurants. Very helpful front desk staff. Will come back to stay again.

■ View bus Luxury Ocean twin Bay View Room The room with a clean can has a large window and a balcony. The view from the room, the balcony is the bay bridge, the Ferris wheel is visible. The bathtub and shower room are separate 々, so you can take a bath time slowly. The night view of the Ferris wheel with the bathroom was also very beautiful. Breakfast is surrounded by palm trees and a buffet style restaurant with a southern atmosphere. There were many items and it was delicious. This time, the prefectural people were applied and we were able to stay at a reasonable price. We stayed at this hotel for 3 days. 2 adults and 1 kid. the hotel location is of course far from downtown tokyo, but that is a compromise we were willing to take to stay in a comfier and spacious room. there are two metro stations nearby (1 closer, other one a 20 minute walk away). Both walkways are passing through a mall and a covered pathway which has travelators installed. The nearby malls and cup noodle museum were great. lot of eating and dining options. and tōkyō downtown was a 40 minute subway ride. Overall a great stay. You can also get airport limousine from hotel reception level 1 and there are comfy sofas to wait for your checkin time or post checkout.

The Regency Club staff at this hotel are some of the best in the industry. Staff that made our 15 night stay feel like home: Shoko, Risako, Chiaki, Shelley, Futoshi, Bianca, Mizuki, Hsegawa and some others but unfortunately I didn't get their names. They helped me with all me needs and questions including helping me with reservations and travel plans. They all speak English and are super patient with families. The rooms are super clean and modern. Housekeeping is amazing and made sure our baby diaper pail was changed each day and every inch of our room was clean. I opted for a suite which had an amazing bathroom with a super big tub. The blinds are automatic and the views are great. Breakfast buffet had so many choices and was so good. Hotel is 2 blocks from an amazing waterfront park and a 10 minute walk to Yokohama Stadium. 5 minute walk to Chinatown as well. The train is also less than a 5 minute walk and there is a 24 hour Lawson right across the street. Oh yea, a really special thanks to the bell-woman who waited with my luggage across the street in front of Lawson with the taxi while I ran back to my room after realizing I forgot my phone in the room after checking out.

羽田空港からバスで３０分くらいで到着です。途中の高速道路からは、横浜ランドマークホテルなどが見えて、壮観でした。バスを横浜駅東口で下車しましたが、終着のワイキャットの方がヒルトン横浜に近いです。横浜駅からKアリーナが見えますが、徒歩で歩いてホテルまでニッサンのビルなどを迂回する必要があります。駅からホテルまでの通路は、まだ、建設中のようです。 新築ホテルで、とても豪華です。エグゼクティブラウンジでチェックインをして、プレミアムルームにアップグレードしてくれました。ラウンジ内のジュース類は、多種類で、珍しいものがたくさんありました。カクテルタイムは、アルコール類はあまり多くなく、また、料理もほとんどありませんでした。 室内からは、正面に川が流れていて、隣のKアリーナのコンサートを見学する人たちが列をなしていました。部屋は３９平米あり、ゆったりできました。室内の装飾も、ホテル全体のアールデコ調と統一されたデザインでした。ひげ剃りなども、他のヒルトンホテルのものとは異なり、上質なものが備わっていました。 夕食は、イタリアンレストランでいただきました。HCPJの２０％割引がありませんが、もともと料理代金が税サービス込みで表示されているので、代金額がわかりやすいです。料理は、上品・繊細な味わいでおいしかったです。 ホテルの従業員さんらは、若い人が多く、おもてなしの気持ちでした。 改善して欲しいことは、つぎの三点です。 ①　横浜駅からホテルまでの通路を早く作ってもらうと、チェックイン・アウト前後の移動時間が短くなっていいと思います。 ②　エグゼクティブラウンジの料理を増やしてもらうと、もっとゆったりとできます。 ③　宿泊代金やホテル内レストラン代金にHCPJ割引の適応をしてもらうと、レストランでの食事などを取りやすくなります。 良くも、悪くも、ほかのヒルトンホテルとは一線を画するホテルであり、新鮮味があります。

At the top of a downtown tower is the Oakwood Suites Yokohama. Upon arrival; after parking in the hotel's underground car park, we arrived at the reception with a breathtaking view of the city of Yokohama and Mount Fuji in the distance. Our rooms were fantastic and beautifully decorated. They were very large with a large, very well-equipped kitchen, a magnificent bathroom, a washing machine and a breathtaking view of the harbour. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel was exemplary. We had a very pleasant stay and all the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly.

The Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 is part of the Cruise Terminal Complex ”Yokohama Hammerhead”. If you are familiar with Cup Noodle museum, then it's right behind it. It's also a short 10 minute walk from the other Intercontinental: Yokohama Grand. The closest stations for both these hotels is the Minatomirai station on the Minatomirai line. If you are coming by JR, the closet station is Sakuragi-cho on the Keihin-Touhoku line and from there about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Yokohama Grand and a further 10 minutes to Pier 8. From the Hammerhead, you can clearly see the iconic fin shaped Intercontinental Yokohama Grand. It's in a good location with shops and restaurants in Yokohama Hammerhead, Marine & Walk and the famous Red Brick warehouse. The hotel is a rectangle building with an open area in the middle (garden) of the building from level 3. The ”outside” rooms are the City and Bay View rooms while the ”inside” rooms are the Garden View rooms. There's also a rooftop garden where you have a great view overlooking the bay and can just sit and relax in the sun. The staff were exceptional and the rooms amazing. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

Just had a very good stay at this lovely Hotel. Close to the cruise terminal and perfectly situated opposite the Gundam factory and the vintage liner . We could see both from our room. We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast is in the magnificent Normandy restaurant. Very enjoyable and elegant. The café in the hotel is certainly worth eating at and is very popular. Our room was large and well fitted, but in need of refurbishment. Insufficient USB points, and a message that you could easily overload the system if you use a kettle and hairdryer at the same time! But what a magnificent historic building this is with wonderful displays of its history throughout. Staff throughout are attentive and charming. We did have one problem on our last day concerning out included breakfast. There was a huge queue and we didn’t have time because of our trip to the airport. Room service was provided instead, but it’s worth checking in advance if you need to book for breakfast and to make sure they can accommodate you if you have a flight. We would definitely stay here again. It is our hotel of choice in Yokohama. Some lovely shops nearby and of course a few seconds from Chinatown.

On June 16, 2024, we had breakfast at the hotel’s first-floor buffet, and we were truly impressed. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. The buffet itself was beautifully arranged, with a wide variety of delicious foods that were both fresh and artfully presented. The ambiance of the dining area was elegant and inviting, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Hanayo Hisazawa, the supervisor, who did an excellent job managing the staff and overseeing the food service. Her attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of our breakfast experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We highly recommend the Kahala Hotel to anyone seeking a top-tier experience in hospitality.

There is nothing to say about the cleanliness of the rooms or the convenience of the surrounding environment. It is very disappointing that I felt the quality of the employees working there were poorly trained, which is not appropriate for a hotel in this kind of price range. The front desk and baggage desk personnel were so unprofessional that I felt it would be better if they were mechanized.

One of the nicest hotel I've been to so far! The buffet breakfast selections are crazy, crabs for breakfast? Count me in! From my room, there's a crazy view of the Hakone valleys especially during sunsets. The staff are very nice people who provided the best for my stay. I was celebrating my anniversary with my partner and they offered a free pass to the bar & lounge. Would definitely come again the next time.

Hotel Indigo was recommended to us by a co-worker. She raved about how much she enjoy her stay, so we decided to visit for our Anniversary. We loved everything about this hotel from check in to check out, everything was amazing. The hotel staff always made us feel welcome, by greeting us (by name most of the time) whenever we were out and about in the hotel. Hannah checked us in. She was nice and provided us with information about the area. We had the breakfast included in our stay. The restaurant manager Koji-san was awesome. While not a picky eater, I do like my eggs cooked a certain way...lol.. On the first day of breakfast, my eggs were not cooked to my liking. When my plate was taken, Koji-san noticed that I did not eat my eggs. He immediately came to our table and inquired about the eggs. I told him that they were too soft for me. He apologized and asked if I had enough to eat and said that he would like to try again the next morning. I thought this was such a kind gesture. For the next 4 days, my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but the chef is very good. The salmon and asparagus were my favorites. Our anniversary was on the 22nd and we received a call from the front desk asking if they could bring us a gift for our anniversary. They brought us an assortment of sweet treats, which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. Very sweet. Our room was spacious, clean with the perfect temperature. The television was the largest that I have seen a Japanese hotel. Our room was on the riverside with a private outdoor onsen. While relaxing in the onsen, you can hear the calming sounds of the river. There is also a foot soak in the garden area. it was a bit to cold outside for me, so I didn't get to enjoy it on this stay. The hotel was cleaned thoroughly and safety precautions were taken. All of staff wore masks and for breakfast, we were provided with gloves to get continental items from the buffet. All tables were wiped down immediately after a party left and were socially distanced. The hotel is in close proximity to just about everything. During our 5 day stay, we visited The Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Garden, Gora Park, and The Red Gate of Peace. We will definitely be returning and look forward to our next stay in the Spring.

It was a perfect hotel stay for families visiting Hakone. The room was spacious for our family of three. Comfortable bed and well kept room amenities. The buffet breakfast and dinner food and drinks were delicious. We love our visit to the Hakone Kowakien Morinoyu which was included with our hotel stay. The only thing I didn’t like was the checkin procedure. We had to use a machine to checkin instead of going to the checkin counter and have front desk staff processing for us. It was a terrible experience because the machine failed at recognising our passport and it was terribly hard to enter everyone’s details on the touch screen. I should have to do this myself as a guest. Please get rid of the machine check in.

The service is so good, there is an aunt who will always serve specially, and all of them are kneeling. When entering the hotel, you don’t have to check at the front desk. Sitting in the lounge area is handled exclusively by the staff. The rose tea made by Auntie is so fragrant, it is the best I have ever drunk. Auntie is also very patient. My English is very poor. Aunty will say it many times or make gestures to make me understand. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel are very exquisite. Room facilities are also good, very satisfied. It is recommended that you go to Gora Station and let the hotel send a car to pick you up, because the road to the hotel is uphill, don't go by yourself, you can just take a taxi. I saw the distance is close, and it’s hard to find those who walked up. Fortunately, I didn’t have any luggage, so I collapsed when I walked.

This hotel is a historic property set in an iconic setting. We stayed in the Forest Section which features large, comfortable rooms that were a little dark, the bathroom lighting could be improved. Here is my issue. We arrived around 1:15 and we’re told that we could check in at 3:00. We had lunch in their cafe ( 50$) and asked again about an hour later if we could have early access. The very polite desk clerk replied “ Yes, for $70 dollars “. Astounded , I countered that we were departing early 2 days later, and he reduced the amount to $35. Now here is where communication becomes an issue: I continued the “are you kidding me?” and he kept bowing. I thought the issue was settled. That night and the next we ate at their lovely restaurants, French and the Cascade. Food and service was superb. With wine we spent about $900. Check out was early, and my husband didn’t really examine the bill. When we were back in our free early access room in Tokyo I noticed the $35 charge. I contacted the hotel’s customer service and they confirmed the charge. So, what about customer hospitality? I have NEVER been charged an early access fee for an hour. They have been times when we patiently waited for a room to be readied, and never demanded a rebate. It is all part of the guest/host agreement, I think this is probably a corporate decision by the Fujiya Group. Rethink your mission, guys, make guests feel wanted!

Pleasantly surprised by the large room we got, with an enclosed balcony overlooking the lush green valley. Spacious bathroom. Clean room. Excellent onsite onsen - enjoyed the experience. Lovely dining areas and sushi restaurant. Free pickup from Odawara Shinkansen station (45 min ride to hotel). Hotel offers free dropoff and pickup to local train station so you can comfortably take the cable car to Lake Ashi. Highly recommend the cable car, boat across Lake Ashi and Hakone's open air museum.

I was seeking a ryokan with private onsens and the willingness to accommodate my primarily vegetarian dietary habits. I chose Hakone Gora Byakudan and was extremely pleased in every single way. We were a little on the early side (around 2:00 in the afternoon) when we asked someone at an information desk by Gora Station to please call the ryokan and ask if they could pick us up (as we had been instructed). Within 5 minutes we were picked up and brought to the beautiful ryokan, removing our shoes upon entry. The room was fantastic. We were in ”hako”, just off the lobby. The space was perfect! And we loved the privacy of the onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a small private dining room. They indeed served me a vegetarian meal with many courses. My husband had some meat or fish in his meal and they provided us each with separate printed out menus. It was truly fantastic!

If the weather is not good, the scenery will be worthless. The room is clean and satisfying. The food is delicious and full. I'm grateful that I usually use it because there are yoga mat and stretch poles. It was good that Mr. Nakai was a friendly person. If you want to drink after dinner, you can drink it for free by going to the entrance. The variety is limited and the dry knobs are suitable and vacant. Pokemon Go's Poke spots are a distance that sometimes reacts, so it was almost uncomfortable for people. I'm happy with the ice cream when I leave the large communal bath Disadvantages When there is a wind, the door of the shower room in the room opens fluttering. I wish I had a lock. The wind may be noisy in the corner room. The large communal bath may be small when the time zone is covered. The meal has little meat. The remote control battery in the toilet does not run out, but it feels like it has not been replaced moderately.

A very new hotel with very good facilities and services. I checked in late so I didn’t know the location clearly. I saw some comments saying that dinner was not delicious, so I didn’t decide. I recommend walking to a nearby dumpling restaurant for dinner. It tastes very good. The public open-air hot spring is great, and the private hot spring in your room is also great, with great privacy. The only drawback was that the bed was too soft and I had lower back pain when I woke up the next day. Overall very good

Was here late October, Hakone is a beautiful area and it is almost autumn foliage season Rooms. 23 rooms on the property surrounded by old maple trees and bamboos. Two beds in room Hananome. Sisley amenities. Large shower area that steps out into the outdoor onsen which faces the trees, found it to be truly restorative as I felt a bit beaten down when I arrived. Complimentary mini bar (except for the champagne and Macallan). Dark wood furnishings in my room looked dated and room had very little windows and natural light @ the hotel. great service throughout my stay, although strange to be served welcome tea in a paper cup. Didn’t try the public onsen. High quality souvenirs in the restaurant and lobby shop. Built 1925 but still comfortable (ie floor heating) I was in Japan for three nights and while this was not a Michelin restaurant ( tried a few during this trip ), dinner here was my favorite and my comfort food. I kept on thinking about how food is functional medicine and this place hit the spot Prices. Moderate $662 as included a delicious dinner and breakfast Rating. 4/5 ( everything was perfect except for the welcome drink in a paper cup and my room’s decor/lighting )

One of the nicest hotel I've been to so far! The buffet breakfast selections are crazy, crabs for breakfast? Count me in! From my room, there's a crazy view of the Hakone valleys especially during sunsets. The staff are very nice people who provided the best for my stay. I was celebrating my anniversary with my partner and they offered a free pass to the bar & lounge. Would definitely come again the next time.

Hotel Indigo was recommended to us by a co-worker. She raved about how much she enjoy her stay, so we decided to visit for our Anniversary. We loved everything about this hotel from check in to check out, everything was amazing. The hotel staff always made us feel welcome, by greeting us (by name most of the time) whenever we were out and about in the hotel. Hannah checked us in. She was nice and provided us with information about the area. We had the breakfast included in our stay. The restaurant manager Koji-san was awesome. While not a picky eater, I do like my eggs cooked a certain way...lol.. On the first day of breakfast, my eggs were not cooked to my liking. When my plate was taken, Koji-san noticed that I did not eat my eggs. He immediately came to our table and inquired about the eggs. I told him that they were too soft for me. He apologized and asked if I had enough to eat and said that he would like to try again the next morning. I thought this was such a kind gesture. For the next 4 days, my eggs were cooked exactly how I like them. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It is a bit pricey, but the chef is very good. The salmon and asparagus were my favorites. Our anniversary was on the 22nd and we received a call from the front desk asking if they could bring us a gift for our anniversary. They brought us an assortment of sweet treats, which we enjoyed with a cup of tea. Very sweet. Our room was spacious, clean with the perfect temperature. The television was the largest that I have seen a Japanese hotel. Our room was on the riverside with a private outdoor onsen. While relaxing in the onsen, you can hear the calming sounds of the river. There is also a foot soak in the garden area. it was a bit to cold outside for me, so I didn't get to enjoy it on this stay. The hotel was cleaned thoroughly and safety precautions were taken. All of staff wore masks and for breakfast, we were provided with gloves to get continental items from the buffet. All tables were wiped down immediately after a party left and were socially distanced. The hotel is in close proximity to just about everything. During our 5 day stay, we visited The Open Air Museum, the Venetian Glass Garden, Gora Park, and The Red Gate of Peace. We will definitely be returning and look forward to our next stay in the Spring.

It was a perfect hotel stay for families visiting Hakone. The room was spacious for our family of three. Comfortable bed and well kept room amenities. The buffet breakfast and dinner food and drinks were delicious. We love our visit to the Hakone Kowakien Morinoyu which was included with our hotel stay. The only thing I didn’t like was the checkin procedure. We had to use a machine to checkin instead of going to the checkin counter and have front desk staff processing for us. It was a terrible experience because the machine failed at recognising our passport and it was terribly hard to enter everyone’s details on the touch screen. I should have to do this myself as a guest. Please get rid of the machine check in.

The service is so good, there is an aunt who will always serve specially, and all of them are kneeling. When entering the hotel, you don’t have to check at the front desk. Sitting in the lounge area is handled exclusively by the staff. The rose tea made by Auntie is so fragrant, it is the best I have ever drunk. Auntie is also very patient. My English is very poor. Aunty will say it many times or make gestures to make me understand. The dinner and breakfast at the hotel are very exquisite. Room facilities are also good, very satisfied. It is recommended that you go to Gora Station and let the hotel send a car to pick you up, because the road to the hotel is uphill, don't go by yourself, you can just take a taxi. I saw the distance is close, and it’s hard to find those who walked up. Fortunately, I didn’t have any luggage, so I collapsed when I walked.

This hotel is a historic property set in an iconic setting. We stayed in the Forest Section which features large, comfortable rooms that were a little dark, the bathroom lighting could be improved. Here is my issue. We arrived around 1:15 and we’re told that we could check in at 3:00. We had lunch in their cafe ( 50$) and asked again about an hour later if we could have early access. The very polite desk clerk replied “ Yes, for $70 dollars “. Astounded , I countered that we were departing early 2 days later, and he reduced the amount to $35. Now here is where communication becomes an issue: I continued the “are you kidding me?” and he kept bowing. I thought the issue was settled. That night and the next we ate at their lovely restaurants, French and the Cascade. Food and service was superb. With wine we spent about $900. Check out was early, and my husband didn’t really examine the bill. When we were back in our free early access room in Tokyo I noticed the $35 charge. I contacted the hotel’s customer service and they confirmed the charge. So, what about customer hospitality? I have NEVER been charged an early access fee for an hour. They have been times when we patiently waited for a room to be readied, and never demanded a rebate. It is all part of the guest/host agreement, I think this is probably a corporate decision by the Fujiya Group. Rethink your mission, guys, make guests feel wanted!

Pleasantly surprised by the large room we got, with an enclosed balcony overlooking the lush green valley. Spacious bathroom. Clean room. Excellent onsite onsen - enjoyed the experience. Lovely dining areas and sushi restaurant. Free pickup from Odawara Shinkansen station (45 min ride to hotel). Hotel offers free dropoff and pickup to local train station so you can comfortably take the cable car to Lake Ashi. Highly recommend the cable car, boat across Lake Ashi and Hakone's open air museum.

I was seeking a ryokan with private onsens and the willingness to accommodate my primarily vegetarian dietary habits. I chose Hakone Gora Byakudan and was extremely pleased in every single way. We were a little on the early side (around 2:00 in the afternoon) when we asked someone at an information desk by Gora Station to please call the ryokan and ask if they could pick us up (as we had been instructed). Within 5 minutes we were picked up and brought to the beautiful ryokan, removing our shoes upon entry. The room was fantastic. We were in ”hako”, just off the lobby. The space was perfect! And we loved the privacy of the onsen. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a small private dining room. They indeed served me a vegetarian meal with many courses. My husband had some meat or fish in his meal and they provided us each with separate printed out menus. It was truly fantastic!

If the weather is not good, the scenery will be worthless. The room is clean and satisfying. The food is delicious and full. I'm grateful that I usually use it because there are yoga mat and stretch poles. It was good that Mr. Nakai was a friendly person. If you want to drink after dinner, you can drink it for free by going to the entrance. The variety is limited and the dry knobs are suitable and vacant. Pokemon Go's Poke spots are a distance that sometimes reacts, so it was almost uncomfortable for people. I'm happy with the ice cream when I leave the large communal bath Disadvantages When there is a wind, the door of the shower room in the room opens fluttering. I wish I had a lock. The wind may be noisy in the corner room. The large communal bath may be small when the time zone is covered. The meal has little meat. The remote control battery in the toilet does not run out, but it feels like it has not been replaced moderately.

A very new hotel with very good facilities and services. I checked in late so I didn’t know the location clearly. I saw some comments saying that dinner was not delicious, so I didn’t decide. I recommend walking to a nearby dumpling restaurant for dinner. It tastes very good. The public open-air hot spring is great, and the private hot spring in your room is also great, with great privacy. The only drawback was that the bed was too soft and I had lower back pain when I woke up the next day. Overall very good

Was here late October, Hakone is a beautiful area and it is almost autumn foliage season Rooms. 23 rooms on the property surrounded by old maple trees and bamboos. Two beds in room Hananome. Sisley amenities. Large shower area that steps out into the outdoor onsen which faces the trees, found it to be truly restorative as I felt a bit beaten down when I arrived. Complimentary mini bar (except for the champagne and Macallan). Dark wood furnishings in my room looked dated and room had very little windows and natural light @ the hotel. great service throughout my stay, although strange to be served welcome tea in a paper cup. Didn’t try the public onsen. High quality souvenirs in the restaurant and lobby shop.
