It was a very cheap guesthouse, and it was great for staying alone... The room was spacious and had a fan, unlike other guesthouses... However, it was a little disappointing that there was no shared kitchen.

Before booking, I was attracted by the new hotel. The check-in experience was good in every way and cost-effective. The walking distance to the foreigner street and various attractions every day was acceptable. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the environment was elegant and quiet.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at anlan, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. What truly sets this hotel apart is the immaculate cleanliness of the rooms. Every corner of my room was spotless, and the attention to detail was remarkable. It felt like I was the first guest to ever stay in that room! The bed was incredibly comfortable, with fresh, crisp linens that made for a perfect night's sleep. The modern amenities, from the high-speed Wi-Fi to the well-appointed bathroom, made my stay even more enjoyable. Despite the top-notch quality, the room rates were incredibly affordable, offering unbeatable value for money. It’s rare to find a hotel that delivers such high standards without breaking the bank, but Anlan manages to do just that. The location was also ideal—just a short walk from nearby attractions, making it easy to explore the area without any hassle. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Anlang provides everything you need for a comfortable and stress-free stay. I used the railroad from Vientiane to Luang Prabang for two nights and traveling alone. You can see Dhutanga in front of the hotel. It's a place away from the main street, but it's quiet and comfortable ＆ You can spend it safely. When I asked for a tour to Quanxi Falls the night before, he arranged it immediately. I had card payment NG information before, but it has been improved and cards can be used. It's a compact hotel, but the staff will do their best to follow you on your trip, so you won't have any trouble staying. We recommend using this when visiting Luang Prabang.

Fabulous little hotel in Luang Prbang across the road from the great Mekog River. Suri - maybe Souri - was knowledgeable, helpful & friendly, providing invaluable local information. Breakfast was a highlight, situated in an open air cafe opposite the hotel, with views of the river & great coffee. The hotel is within walking distance to the main streets & restaurants.

The location is good and the price is great with a very nice breakfast included. The downside is that the room is quite small and the AC isn’t blow cold in the room I stayed in. Overall aesthetic of the room is also quite dated. If you could get the room with a working AC I think it’s a solid budget choice.

Good: The staff are fantastic—truly helpful and have the perfect attitude. They genuinely assist in solving any issues, rather than just pretending to. The breakfast is great as well. Bad: The rooms, though spacious, suffer from absurd design. Indeed, the open bathrooms and toilet doors with large gaps provide no privacy (noise and smell), as they each open directly into the bedroom. If one person is sleeping, they will be disturbed if the other goes to the bathroom during the night or wakes up earlier. Even more problematic is that the light for both the open shower and the toilet is controlled by the same switch. This means that if someone uses the toilet at night, the light for the shower, which has a glass door facing the room, also turns on, making it impossible not to wake the other person. The second issue is the single-pane windows, which fail to block out external noise. Since the hotel is located right on a main road, it becomes noisy as early as 6:00 AM, even with the windows closed, due to the sound of motorcycles common in the area. If you're traveling alone and aren't too bothered by morning noise, this is a perfectly acceptable option. My advice to the owner: You have a fantastic team, so take advantage of that and invest in improving the room design. This is your part.

We spent 3 nights in this small hotel. The rooms are correct, clean but very spacious. The staff is very nice and despite the language barrier, try to satisfy us as best as possible. We have to order the evening if we want eggs. Otherwise we are a group of 12 people, the only on the hotel, and a certain lack of organisation despite the good will of the hotel. The boss is a very friendly and generous Chinese handsome guy. He will kindly remind you to wear a coat because it will be cold at night. We couldn't exchange money when we entered Thailand, but the boss helped us exchange it. The boss's hotel is very close to the Mekong River, and there is a coffee shop at the door where you can watch the sunset and sunrise. Luang Prabang is very small, and you can walk to every attraction from the hotel. Very cost-effective, free airport pick-up and drop-off, and breakfast. Recommend everyone to stay here

It was our first time in Luang Prabang, and we picked Kiridara based on other reviews. Rest-assured, it was a smart choice. The location was great. While not in the center, there is a market super close and a supermarket about 10 minutes away. For the rest the hotel offers a free shuttle which is on call until about 9 pm, and takes you more or less everywhere you need to go. The rooms were clean, nicely layed out and offered everything you need. If something was wrong, it was fixed quickly. The pool was refreshing and offered a great view. The drinks from then pool bar were delicious. The highlight was the breakfast. There was a small, but nice buffet plus a menu. The a la carte menu was the biggest plus. You could pick up to four dishes, each from one category, like eggs, hearty or sweet. Be sure to eat yourself through all the options, while you stay - it‘s worth it! All in all a great stay, and we will come back to Kiridara for sure for our next stay.

Facilities: relatively new Sanitation: clean Environment: relatively refined Service: excellent service It should be a very cost-effective hotel in the local area. You can arrange a car to pick you up. The hotel staff is very humorous and the breakfast is also delicious

The service is great. The staff are friendly and helpful. They provide free transport around the town area and they also offer us free airport shuttle services. The view of the Mekong River is excellent. One thing that can make the entire experience even better would be a better selection of breakfast.

This is my second visit after visiting with my family about a month ago. I remembered the warm experience I had at this hotel last time, so I came back again. There must be many guests coming in and out of the hotel, and I was touched that everyone I met recognized me and said “Welcome back.” I am very grateful to Yong, Lith, Muhn, Mone, and the two female hoteliers who were in charge of dinner on 5/25 for their hospitality. (I should have asked everyone's names, but it's too bad I didn't.) And the information about becoming a monk during the morning Takbat. I am also sincerely grateful to the male hotelier who kindly and in detail explained about the Ina Lao people. I think I will visit Laos again on my last trip before returning to my home country because of the warm memories I had in Avani. I look forward to seeing you again.

This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Certainly the service was the best I’ve ever experienced. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left it was a fantastic experience. When we arrived we were checked in by Kampoot who was fantastic the whole week. He was always willing to stop and chat and help us with recommendations. Kampoot is a credit to this hotel. The location itself is perfect. With mountains either side and a view of the whole town. The pool is great to cool off in and the food at the pool was excellent. The pizza and pad gaprao were among our favourites. The breakfast had a great selection and the staff were all very attentive. Thongpan served us very well. The room was nice and clean and we had a good view. The only issue was the shower was a little on the hot side and when moved to cold it didn’t really have much power. But apart from this it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely come back. A big thank you also to Lovansinh also on the front desk. She was so friendly and polite. Also at the pool Boonsong and Sengdao looked after us very well all week.

The spacious and bright room and the courtyard swimming pool are surrounded by distant mountains. It is a great place for a vacation. The boss's attentive service is touching. He arranged a free one-day tour with full explanations to give us a deeper understanding of the Lao people. The recommended restaurant has delicious food. Thank you for taking our family to participate in the charity at 5:30 on New Year's Day. I wish the boss good luck in the Year of the Snake and a prosperous business.

When our driver pulled up to the hotel by a rickety bridge over the river, we were a bit nervous as the hotel looks tiny from the outside. What we thought was the hotel was actually the lobby and the hotel is actually quite large and sprawling with buildings and bungalows scattered next to the river. The hotel has a lovely infinity pool by the river with a lounge chairs, beach towels and an affordable pool bar with snacks for sale. The rooms were spacious with large balconies. The toilet was by the front door so you had to exit the WC walk around the corner to the bathroom to wash your hands - sort of a weird set up, but did help in the morning for 2 people to get ready. This was the only hotel we stayed in with dual sinks and a long vanity so excellent for 2 travelers and a big plus! The shower was a walk in so east access. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast (included) is served in the morning. Unfortunately it was a buffet with limited options and the food that was supposed to be hot was always cold and unappetizing. The hotel uses tiny candles to try to keep the food warm but this method does not work at all. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to town which is a negative as you need to walk across a scary rickety bridge to get to town. The hotel does not have a gym which is a requirement, in my opinion, if you want to be a 5 star resort. My only other comment to management is to find a few better English speaking employees as we had difficulty communicating with staff. Yes we know we are in Laos and should learn to speak their language but I feel when you cater to tourists you need a few people in each area to speak the universal language for business. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend this hotel to others.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the Sofitel team in Luang Prabang for creating such a warm, welcoming and accommodating stay. Across all departments, the staff went above and beyond, and collectively set a new standard for Service. Most notably Vard, Leng, Mr. Kao and Youth at the front desk, Mr. Umni, Keili and Souk from F&B and Mr. Anshul Sharma, the hotel Manager, who has done an exceptional job at leading the team and making the Sofitel, Luang Prabang a must stay haven in South East Asia. The hotel grounds were picturesque and serene, the rooms tastefully designed with ample space to luxuriate, the food (particularly breakfast) at Governors Grill delicious and fresh. But above all, the service was unlike any hotel I have stayed. From remembering the small details of our personal preferences, to recommending the best activities and experiences, to assisting with a medical emergency - my partner and I felt truly cared for. I am deeply grateful for such a beautiful and memorable Christmas and New Year, and we already look forward to our return!

Environment: rice fields, cicadas chirping, but no mosquitoes beside the paddy fields. Waking up early to bask in the warmth of the swimming pool with a hint of coolness in the morning, looking at the green rice fields, the mist-shrouded mountains in the distance, the clear blue sky and white clouds, I felt that there was a vivid memory on my life list. Room: The air conditioning is sufficient and there is no noise. There is also a fragrance system, and the high roof space makes people relax. The equipment is well-equipped and very new. I fell asleep on the first night without much fuss as I was in an area where bed trouble was most common when I was on a business trip. Service and breakfast: Very welcoming. There was a problem with the hot water on the first night. I called the front desk and sent someone to fix it immediately. There is a free shuttle to town. The breakfast is rich, especially the local millet noodles. Overall review: :) I don’t want to give a good review, because I’m afraid you might raise the price next time if you know more.

We booked for 1 night via a booking engine while heading north up the river. Reviews on there said it was next to the boat dock- it’s actually a ＜10 min walk along the village street. We were shown to a room in a modern block set slightly back from the river front bungalows. It was on the 1st floor so had a river and Mountain View over the bungalow roofs and a shared balcony rather than a private one in the bungalows. Not sure why others off our boat got a bungalow- there was only one type of room available on the booking engine and they used the same as us. Maybe as we were staying only 1 night? The room was a good size, clean and had a comfy bed. No need for the fan as it was chilly at night in late January. The hot water worked if you didn’t turn it on fully. The walls were quite thin so you could hear neighbours coughing etc. In general the room was ok but a little expensive for Laos. The owners (European and local) speak good English which is unusual for Laos but they seemed a little distracted (they own a few businesses in the village). In summary, it was clean and comfy enough but for rural Laos $15 would have been a fairer price.
