It was a relaxing stay. The front desk was so friendly (as most tajik people i met in the country, really) and so helpful. They can assist you with airport transfers and money changing. While I didn’t get to take advantage of it, they also have free laundry and apparently snacks and drinks available for most of the day at the lobby which is a nice touch. The pool was refreshing and the ambiance of the whole place was just very inviting. I used the gym which had a decent setup, though the dumbbells stop at 50lbs and the only bench for barbell pressing was a bit rough to use and unstable. The breakfast was varied, with delicious beans and chicken, grilled vegetables, various cheeses, meat slices, sausages, salad toppings, and more. The real standout personally was the dessert. Brownies dripping with peanut butter and chocolate sauce and danish with berries, it was amazing! Will definitely stay again 👍

Very central, directly next to post office and train station. A very Chinese-centric hotel, hence why only available on trip.com one assumes. Staff were confused how I was able to book this hotel! Massive room and quite modern, but…. Typical poor Chinese building standards. Plumbing smelt and a delightful piece of poo came floating out of the shower pan drain one morning. Suffice to say, I was somewhat disturbed. The next day when a cockroach (I assume?) decided to fly (quite literally) out of the AC unit onto my bed, I woke up quite quickly, I must say! Electric toilet was curious, if not a little confusing! Lots of bathroom accessories though. Get the plumbing fixed and the… hygiene looked into, and it would be very reasonable.
Dushanbe Serena Hotel

Stayed here twice in Aug 2024 with friends. This was at the start and end of our Tajikistan Pamir Highway trip. Location is very central and near most landmarks, which we walked to in 15-20 min. There are also many great restaurants in the area, for visiting tourists and business people. It is also very close to the airport, maybe 10-15 min drive. The building looks very new from the outside, but the inside is more like a traditional hotel. The rooms specifically remind me of the old Taj Group hotels in the 1990/early 2000s, especially the toiletries seem to smell the same as well. However the room is very spacious and comfortable, and the bed offers comfortable sleep. While the efficient aircon offers respite from the heat outside. Windows are well sealed and dont let any road noise in, despite being located on a busy avenue. The facilities are decent at the hotel including the restaurant and the bar, both of which have good staff, even if the culinary offerings are quite standard. WiFi works decently. The pool area could be larger, and seemed to be fully occupied and quite crowded on the 2 occasions I visited. The hotel would do well to move it to the back yard from the current location on the roof. Overall, I would recommend staying here. There is some sense of nostalgia and old school hospitality vibe, but it’s all good. Don’t expect a major luxe experience, even though it may feel like that after your travels on the Pamir Highway.
Hyatt Regency Dushanbe

I recently stayed at Hyatt Regency Dushanbe and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish of my 2 weeks tour. It was my second tour to this hotel but this time my stay here was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to large part to the unforgettable Indian Cuisine. I highly recommend this holtel to anyone looking for a luxurious stay with world class dining. Kudos to Chef ”Pankaj Shahi” and the entire team for making my visit so memorable.

The hotel located in the center and near the airport has properly met our expectations . Very spacious rooms with full equipment . Part of the equipment makes it a little old-fashioned , and the hotel from the outside looks quite modern . The service is nice and helpful. There was a small problem with the water flow from the bathtub, but the bathroom was comfortable to the point of view. We stayed here for a total of 3 nights. The first one before leaving in Pamir and two after return. Breakfasts during this time were exactly the same so long stays may probably be bored? Supplied in buffet form , apparently with a large selection are not the strongest side of the hotel . Maybe this is a matter of our habits . The local turkeys and cut cheeses are not really tasteful .However, no one has been hungry for breakfast . There was also a problem with TV channels , but after the phone came to the reception ”professional” and somehow set them . The biggest plus of the hotel is its location and these small minus have not changed the overall very positive assessment . The hotel also offers spa , sauna , bowling and conference rooms .

I saw the name of the hotel before booking. I thought it should be a hotel opened by Chinese people. The arrival destination is really Chinese. It makes it easy for us to communicate locally.
The Rumi Hotel & Residences

Introduction Given the excellent reviews I was expecting a top-quality hotel but it fell short of the mark. Room At first glance the room, if a bit small, looked very nice but then you realise there is nowhere to put your suitcase to unpack. Then you notice that there are no chairs – not even one with the desk let alone an armchair to sit and watch TV or read. I requested one after breakfast on my first day but it did not come – I eventually asked the cleaner to move one from an empty room next door. The air conditioning did not work which as the temperature was up to 27C outside was unfortunate. This meant that I had to have the window open all the time listening to the traffic on the busy road outside the hotel and the building site opposite – quiet it was not! On the plus side the bathroom was excellent, the bed comfortable and the WiFi good. Breakfast This is available from 7am to 11am. The first day I came down around 10am as I had not got to bed until 4.30am due to the late arrival of my flight. Whilst there was a reasonable hot selection left, there was very little cold items left – meats, cheeses, etc. On subsequent days I went down earlier to ensure plenty of choice. Overall it is OK but nothing to rave over given the surroundings you are eating it in. Laundry The five free pieces of laundry per day service is really good – apart from the fact that when the clothes are returned there is not a new form for the next batch.
