The staff were friendly and one of the cleaners offered to take one of my suitcases to the elevator for me. The gym was a good size, although the elliptical trainer didn't work; the treadmill was fine. There is adequate space for a few people to do a HITT workout with some limited free weights. One of the reasons I booked my stay there is because it advertised a sauna and upon arrival I was informed this was the not the case. I was told that this was a *********** issue and that the hotel had never had a sauna. I think it would be a great asset to any hotel. It's the only reason I gave the rating of 4 out of 5 stars for facilities. The walk to the South terminal was easy and within a 10 minute walk. Coolest vending machine I've ever seen in the lobby of a hotel, just in case you needed some USB cables or international plugs. Such a great idea for a hotel! I would definitely stay there again.

We had booked the hotel since we were flying out of Gatwick early next day. The ongoing rail strikes was one of the primary reasons for the stay at Gatwick. The stay was worth every bit, right from the check in by the hotel manager Soumya Mukherjee to the staff at the restaurant - Brijesh, Ravi and the other girls who served us and ensured that we were well fed and all our special food needs were taken care of. The rooms were clean and provided comfortable and sound sleep. Will definitely stay again and recommend all others who have to fly out early from Gatwick to spend the night there.
