The hotel is very clean with excellent service. The view from the rooftop hot spring is amazing. The surrounding area is a blend of nature and modern culture, with plenty of restaurants nearby.

I made a reservation to enjoy the winter festival in Akita. It was essential to get off at JR Akita Station by using the airport bus from Akita Airport, and the tour in the field was departed and dissolved at the east exit of Akita Station. It was a night festival, so the dissolution time was past 11 pm. The location was great, but I often asked at the front desk, but the staff 々 was very kind and comfortable. The room was only 3 nights in a large twin room on the upper floors, but I was able to stay comfortably. The only problem is that you know how to store hot water in the bathtub. This has to press the button under the shower curtain, but it is unfriendly without guidance. Every time I passed through the lobby, I was laughing at the explanation on the phone. The view from the room was the Akita Station River, but since it was on the east side, I was able to see a beautiful dawn. It was also good that it was a snowy scenery in February. Breakfast is a restaurant on the top floor, but here is a large kiln with freshly made bread. Japanese food can be compared with local rice, and you can also enjoy Kiritanpo soup and Inaniwa Udon. You can enjoy a pleasant breakfast with a good view. It makes me think that the ANA hotel is delicious with juice and coffee.

This hotel is near to the station and right above a Lawsons. Room is nothing to shout home about, small and clean. In fact I felt it was a bit smaller than what I'd usually expect from a Japanese hotel, and the air had the faintest tinge of smoke in the air despite this being a no smoking room. Still, beds were comfy and all necessary amenities were provided. The breakfast was appreciated, but can be crowded. There's a good mix of Japanese and Western options, and constant free flow of coffee/tea in the common area.

The large public bath is a natural hot spring. The interior is beautiful. It's far from the station, but if you contact the hotel by 5pm the day before your stay, they will pick you up from Tazawako Station for free. The buffet is interesting as it uses many locally produced ingredients. And yet the price is reasonable and it was great value for money! The negative points are: 1. The toilet and sink in the room are small, 2. There was no sea bream at the buffet venue, even though it was called ”celebratory food,” there were few vegetables, and the staff was not very communicative (foreigners. It's not bad, but I wish they would be more polite), and 3. The men's open-air bath is in a detached building and is cold in winter. I took those points off my rating.

Komagatake Onsen is a hot spring inn located in Shimotakano, Lake Tazawako, Senboku City, Akita Prefecture. It is popular for its private open-air bath. On April 6th, 2021, after visiting Mt. Haguro, I had lunch at the resting place zuisinmon. From there, drive to Komagatake Onsen. I saw Mt. Chokai on the way, and I was deeply moved by its beauty. Arrive at Komagatake Onsen. The parking lot is very large. When I entered the building, the front of the entrance was like a drying room. A system where you take off your shoes at the entrance and put them in a shoe box. Namahage at the front desk like Akita Prefecture. A vending machine for drop-in hot water. After checking in, go to the 2nd floor. This time, we will be staying at Nara. Washbasin as you enter. It's a twin room, and I'm happy that the sofa area is wide. refrigerator and heater. A stream flows under the windows. The toilet has a warm water seat. I went to the public bath first. After taking a bath, it's the promised beer time. Dinner is served in the dining room on the first floor. It is a counter seat on the window side where you can see the outside. Postcard. I ordered a hidden hot spring beer. It seems to be a local beer sold by the Japan Secret Hot Spring Association. It seems to use yeast collected from beech. After finishing the meal, head to Nyuto Onsen Tsuru no Yu by bus. I'm happy to pick you up for free. At Nyuto Onsen Tsuru-no-Yu, a building with a thatched roof called 'Honjin' remains as it was at the time. There is a lot of snow on this road, so I don't want to go on the road at night by myself. Arrive at Nyuto Onsen Tsuru no Yu. There are 5 guest rooms in the ”Honjin”. First, I tried the white hot water and the black hot water. I heard that white water is also known as ”cold water”, but it's too hot for me (bitter smile) Of course, I also entered the mixed bathing open-air bath (laughs) I returned to Komagatake Onsen by bus again. I felt that there was a large individual difference. The day I used was Sunday, but there were several taverns around and it was convenient. The interior of the hotel was made and equipped with a petit rich feeling everywhere. I feel lucky to be able to use it at a low price on Sunday. I confirmed the normal price later and was convinced.

The vacant room was the last, so I stayed in a smoking room, and I was hit by the smell of cigarettes that I couldn't judge calmly. The public bath and the Rix room were not special, but they were able to get tired. The room was not large but clean I can see the tracks and invite you to travel. Breakfast buffet is standard quality of business hotel Impressive that the staff lady gave me a rice.

We stayed for 1 night and the room assigned was extremely spacious, 33sqm in total. The 15,000y room price does not include breakfast. Carpark was an additional 800y per night. Hotel lobby was welcoming and had a nice hotel feel with its bright and spacious layout. Check in was easy and you collect all your room amenities at the lobby. Staff spoke very little English. We were assigned room 1204 and was given early checkin at about 2pm. Within walking distance to most tourist sites though we had a car. Love this hotel and would definitely choose this hotel again.

The price is very affordable, there is 1.2 kilometers away from jr Tozaki Station, it is very convenient to walk without luggage, if there is a suitcase, it is recommended to call. There are no restaurants near the hotel. There is a large supermarket 100 meters away. There is a lot of food. There is a sightseeing tower in front of it, 100 meters high, free boarding, and a coffee shop on it.

I stayed here on my first trip home with my toddler. Since I don't have a home anymore, I looked for a place where I could sleep on a tatami mat, there was a washing area in the bathroom, and it was north of Akita City, and I decided on this place. I was very satisfied with the plan that included dinner and breakfast, and the room was spacious. The facilities as a whole seemed old, and I was a little surprised that the air conditioner would suddenly make a loud noise, so I was nervous that my child would wake up in the middle of the night, but both my child and I slept soundly. I did. We had dinner in a private room, and it was delicious with local ingredients. After dinner, when I returned to my room, I found my futon spread out and grilled rice balls for my midnight snack. It looked delicious, but the dinner was so filling that I was too full to eat it. It was a shame. The breakfast buffet was a large venue, and it was also delicious. They also had Babahera ice cream, so I got that. The day before, the lady selling Babahera ice cream wasn't there where I expected, so I regretted not being able to feed my child some. (This is off topic, but when I was a child, I think I saw it at the beach, at baseball stadiums, at sports festivals, and along bypasses surrounded by rice fields.) I also get the impression that the public bath is a little old. Personally, though, I don't really mind it, probably because my purpose is to return home rather than sightseeing, and it's spacious enough to relax. It's nice that you can enter until 9:30 a.m. (even late at night). Some people want more nature around them, but it's a short drive from the center of Akita City and Akita Station, so it's convenient for transportation, which was great. I would like to use it again.

The old grandfather at the front desk is very nice~ There is a hot spring on the first floor, which is an ordinary and styled room but clean and tidy~

Having travelled in amd around Akita for 10 days, this ryokan was our final night stay before 6 of us travel to Narita for flight home. We had merely wanted a traditional stay experience with a morning soak in onsen before we board the shinkasen from Akita JR station - a mere 30 min drive from ryokan. But we received more than we sought! We hah had the healthiest and delicious home-cooked dinner and breakfast, and wonderful outdoor onsen reserved for guests only. And.....all of us didnt realise until we got home in Singapore that the ryokan had cleansed our very muddy shoes squeaky clean! Wow, such amazing service certainly deepened our memories of Akita!
