What a remarkable experience! The inability to find words speaks volumes. Everything was flawless, meeting high Western standards. Additionally, we inadvertently left a sweater in the room as we continued to Tokyo. Upon contacting the hotel, the staff were immensely helpful in resolving the issue. They efficiently arranged for the sweater to be delivered to Tokyo, saving us considerable effort and allowing us to continue our journey peacefully. The service was exceptional, especially considering that the responsibility was entirely ours. Absolutely outstanding service..

The room was small compared with rooms at other hotels I've stayed at in Japan for a similar price, but it was clean and comfortable, except for the hard pillows (this, granted, is just a personal preference). The bathroom was neat and well-equipped, though I wish there were more towels (again, personal preference). The staff was polite, but I cannot estimate if they speak English as my partner handled the check-in and check-out in Japanese. The location is great; you can basically walk to the hotel from the train station and even see the hotel building as you descend down the station stairs.

I went with 4 family members. It was cheap for half board per night, so I was a little worried, but I was worried. The room had the next room like a mahjong room. It was a room that I had been to a company on a employee trip around the Showa era. It was old, but there was no problem with cleaning, and the mountain stream was overlooked and the view was good. The meal is buffet style. Alcohol is an extra charge, and there is an all-you-can-drink plan for 60 or 90 minutes, and it is better for those who say that it is alcohol. I had a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan and enjoyed eating for 90 minutes. There were quite a few types of dinner and breakfast, and I enjoyed various things according to my taste. Maybe it was due to the time, but the meal and the hot springs were soaked that I was able to relax.

This is my third trip/adventure to Japan. I would say as a solo traveler this has to be one of the very best places I have ever stayed in when travelling around Japan. I came to Nikko np to explore the vast array of hiking trails, all of which I did, had breathtaking views and a poetic, truly majestic Japanese feel to them. I rented a car from Nasushiobara (Shinkansen) and drove across to Kinugawa. On arrival I was greeted by a host of the hotel staff, welcoming me and helping me with parking and my bags. I checked in with ease and with some broken English and Japanese on my part was led to a beautiful traditional Japanese style room overlooking the river. The service throughout was world class and made me feel both very comfortable, at home, but also special. I stayed 3 nights with half board (breakfast and dinner), both truly amazing and served with grace and politeness. On the first evening’s dinner one of the serving staff took the time to speak with me and allowed me to share some of my recent experiences/photos etc whilst preparing dinner - this was most welcome, especially as I had been travelling alone for over a week. The location of the onsen hotel is about 60 mins drive to some of the most sought after walks in the np. Very easy to access by car and excellent roads. The accommodation itself is a mix between very traditional Japanese resort and original/boutique Ryokan. The private and public onsen’s are fantastic and a well deserved rest-bite after a long days hiking! Having been to some of the most popular ryokan’s in Japan; Iwaso, Claska etc, this came as a very nice surprise and at an affordable rate without any compromise. If in the area, I would highly recommend staying…

Arrived at Hotel and parked the rental car in the car park for free. Staff were very efficient and check in was very quick. Japan is still very Covid conscious and masks are worn everywhere. We were advised that there were were facilities for making Tea/ coffee in the room and that we should take any provisions required (for free) from the table arranged in the lobby i.e. tea / coffee / toothbrushes..etc. Room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable bed and lovely en-suite- lovely deep bath (shower fixings would be low for taller individuals). They had an evening bar and Onsen (natural hot water spring separate for males and females). They had a restaurant that provided an extensive buffet menu for breakfast - very tasty, and they had a select menu for the evenings and what we tried was very tasty also. The staff in the Hotel and restaurant were most friendly and encouraged me when I attempted some Japanese words. A very lovely start to our holiday in Japan - Thank you for your hospitality, we would happily stay here again

We recommend choosing a room with a large bed. There are many restaurants and bars around, so it was convenient for eating and drinking. The parking lot is in the hotel, but it was full, so I parked in the hotel's affiliated parking lot about 4 minutes on foot. It was raining lightly, so I felt a little inconvenient.

I used it for 1 night and 2 days without meals. Kinugawa, a famous lodging destination in Tochigi Prefecture, costs an astonishingly low price of 9,200 yen for two adults. Since we were staying without meals this time, we didn't have meals included, but Hotel Otaki doesn't provide meals, so you can move to the annex and eat your meals. There are no shopping places or restaurants in the area, so if you are staying overnight without meals, we recommend purchasing food and drinks in advance before checking in. Snacks, cup noodles, vending machines, etc. are available at the front desk, but they are expensive. To take a bath, you need to go outside and go to the large communal bath in the annex, but you can relax and enjoy the hot spring water with its quality and texture. In addition, the guest rooms have separate baths and toilets, so they are clean and beautiful, so it is recommended for those who cannot take a bath in the large public bath. Now, regarding the most important guest room, it was a 10 tatami room which was too large for two people. Unfortunately, it is not facing the river, so the view is not very good, but you can relax on the wide veranda while looking at the mountains surrounding the Kinugawa River. The air conditioning and heating system was old and installed on the floor, but it was very effective and there was also a fan, so you could adjust the temperature of the entire room. The only thing I didn't like was that the toilets on the lobby floor had wallets, but the toilets in the guest rooms didn't have washlets. If you really want to use your wallet, use the communal toilets on each floor. Now, for the important room.

We used this ﾃﾞﾗｯｸｽ ｼﾝｸﾞﾙ (see photo attachment with 21m2 ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ width 160 cm). This ｼﾝｸﾞﾙ ﾙｰﾑ has three types (ｽﾀﾝﾀﾞｰﾄﾞ, ﾚﾃﾞｲｰｽ､ﾃﾞﾗｯｸｽ) and ｽﾀﾝﾀﾞｰﾄﾞ and ﾚﾃﾞｲｰｽ are also 18m2, ﾍﾞｯﾄﾞ width 140 cm, so you can feel relaxed as a general ﾋﾞｼﾞﾈｽﾎﾃﾙ. The ﾊﾞｽﾀﾌﾞ is about 120cm long, so if you are a general person, you will not feel tight, and ｼｬﾜｰﾍｯﾄﾞ is also very good to use. Nice hotel in this location. Room is little more spacious than few other hotels in the same location. Staffs were friendly. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed gives an excellent sleep. Breakfast option is good in the restaurant located within the hotel premises. Located within 5 mins walk from Utsunomiya station and to nearby eateries and restaurants.

It is located close to the east exit of Utsunomiya Station, but the east exit is under construction related to LRT, and it must be moved around. The construction is scheduled to be until August 2022. The facilities are Daiwa Roynet Hotel standard. It is quiet and comfortable in a spacious room. The surrounding area is quiet compared to the west exit, but there are minimal convenience stores, taverns, and confectionery shops. It may be a little troublesome to have to go around the construction area when trying to get out of the bustling west exit.

The hotel is relatively new, the location is very close to the JR station, and the facilities are very comfortable. I am very satisfied. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helped me a lot. Thank you for their help.

Asaya is a large onsen hotel rather isolated from stores, shops, and restos. Inside there are lots of them but I could not find a cup of coffee at 4:00 AM. There is free tea dispenser in the lobby. We all had access to the Premiere Club room by 6:00 AM where we could enjoy snacks and drinks and coffee. Breakfast is served for guests. We ate there and in the main dining room for one of our breakfasts. I loved their beef jerky which I took to my room to eat later. The main dining room for breakfast and dinner offered a hidden room with semi-privacy. The size of our tatami room with Premiere access was just enormous -- about as large as any hotel room I have ever had (one exception was in a Las Vegas hotel). The floor was mainly tatami mats but bamboo flooring in the bathroom and toilet rooms. The housekeeping is immaculate with daily service. There's a long queue just before dinner at 5:30. The food was delicious and plentiful with steak, crab legs, tempera, sashimi, and other seafoods. I enjoyed the soft serve.

The hotel is in a good location. There are all scenic spots nearby, which can be reached on foot. The hotel toilet has also been renovated, which feels good. You can take a bus from the train station to Station 8, Yasukawa-cho, and walk 2 minutes to the hotel after getting off. At the same time, you can take a bus directly to Lake Chuzenji from the hotel, which is about 45 minutes away. The food in the store is mainly local specialty soy products, which are relatively light. The hotel also has a shuttle bus to the train station. Please see the photos I shared for the specific time. Overall, it is quite satisfactory and worthy of the price. There is no better hotel nearby, so it is also one of the must-stay hotels in Nikko. If you want to be more upscale, you have to choose the Ritz-Carlton on the side of Lake Chuzenji.

I was disturbed by my family. Because it was summer, it was a little empty, but not only the proprietress but also the staff treated everyone, including foreigners, politely and kindly, and I was able to spend a pleasant time. The room facing Kinugawa has a good view, but the sound of running water is very loud, which has no effect on our good sleep. The hotel hot spring is quite large. The men and women hot springs will change places in the morning, and you can experience different pools. The hot spring is clean and there are not many people. You can also scan the code to check whether the hot spring is crowded or not, and go when there are few people. The hotel has free afternoon tea at 3 pm. The snacks are delicious and the ice cream is also very good. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are particularly rich, and every kind of food is delicious. We stayed for three nights and had a great time every day! All the waiters in the hotel are very warm and friendly! The bus from the hotel to the station needs to be booked in advance!

I used it on a family trip. I rent a car in front of Kinugawa Onsen station, climb the mountain road for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, and I was shaken by the transfer bus of the inn from there to the parking lot of the woman husband, and climbed for about 30 minutes and finally arrived . On the return flight, the driver guided and there was a service to stop the car at the scenic spot on the way. In other words, all the water in the inn was spring water, so the water from the faucet of the room was delicious without miscellaneous taste. The water was also released from all the water supply in the building to prevent the water pipe from frozen and bursting at this time. The sale of sake in the building was only Asahi super dry by vending machine. If you want to drink in the room, please buy it first.
