The car is new, only two months old. Toyota is a car manufacturer, so I feel very safe using their cars.

We arrived at the car rental center at the designated time, and the car was already waiting in front of the store. They also told us that they had a record of any scratches on the car and that we didn't need to worry. The car pick-up and drop-off procedures were simple, the staff were very polite, and the overall car rental experience was excellent.

I booked and used a rental car for our couple's trip this time, and I was incredibly satisfied from start to finish, exceeding all my expectations! Honestly, when renting a car, I am most concerned about the smell and cleanliness of the interior. However, the car was maintained so cleanly and pleasantly, without any cigarette smell or mustiness, that it felt like I was driving a brand new car. I felt great as soon as I got in. The vehicle's condition while driving was also excellent, allowing us to travel comfortably and safely throughout the trip without feeling tired. Additionally, the explanations during pickup were kind and clear, without any unnecessary details, so it didn't feel complicated at all. The return process was also quick and smooth, allowing us to make the most of our trip without wasting any time. Thanks to the staff's thoughtful consideration and professionalism, I felt safe and at ease even in unfamiliar places. I plan to rent from here again on my next trip. Thank you sincerely for making the start of our trip so pleasant!

Toyota Sienta

Since the Toyota website no longer had Sienta available for rent, I decided to book through Trip.com. This time, I rented an older model Sienta with quite a high mileage, but the overall condition was good. However, shortly after returning to the parking lot, I noticed one of the tires was slightly flat. The pick-up location was very close to the airport, with a shuttle service, which was very convenient. However, the staff seemed to have fewer clients who booked through other websites, and I couldn't find the required reservation number in my Trip.com booking details. They needed some time to retrieve my reservation, and after confirming, the staff charged me again, making me wonder if I had actually paid through Trip.com. Only after confirming several times did the staff assure me that I didn't need to pay again; I almost got double-charged. The staff were very friendly, and the return process was very smooth, with quick turnaround time from return to airport pick-up.

I used a one-way rental service where I picked up the car in Fukuoka and returned it in Kagoshima. Overall, I was satisfied with the car rental experience, and the return process in Kagoshima was particularly simple. However, there was one slightly disappointing aspect during the return process. Although I can converse in Japanese to some extent, I cannot read the text well, so I asked about the contents of the documents the employee showed me. However, the employee seemed reluctant to even ask the question, and I could sense an atmosphere as if they didn't want to explain anything. Then, they changed their attitude and explained that the documents were not given to the customer but that I had to retrieve them myself, and they took them away. I remember receiving quite a lot of paperwork, such as usage statements and receipts, when returning rental cars in the past. I am not sure if the method has changed to collecting documents after the return these days, or if this is just the handling method unique to that particular branch. Anyway, it felt strange to walk out empty-handed without any documents after completing the return. Haha. While the car rental itself was satisfactory, the final interaction with the employee left a somewhat disappointing impression.

The exterior of the car looks new. I like that it's a hybrid model; it's very fuel-efficient. I used it for 6 days in total, and the total fuel cost was less than 35 liters. I traveled to Yufuin, Kumamoto, Mojiko, and Fukuoka with it. It's a great car for taking elderly people on trips. Picking up the car was easy, and the service was excellent, meeting Toyota's standards.

When there was a problem with the vehicle, the rental company immediately arranged for a replacement, sending a new vehicle from Fukuoka to Aso for me. They were very considerate.
