This hotel is incredibly convenient, with a convenience store on-site and plenty of local eateries and supermarkets nearby. The room was spacious and very clean, with an open view outside. Since it's a serviced apartment, it came equipped with a fridge, microwave, and cutlery, which was perfect for making a simple late-night snack with groceries bought from the supermarket. However, there were a couple of downsides: the water pressure was quite weak, and there was a strange drain smell coming from the bathroom, which definitely needs improvement. The gym and infinity pool are located on the 36th floor. The pool was super clean and the views were absolutely stunning! šŸ‘

Facilities: The hotel's facilities exude a sense of luxury and elegance everywhere. However, they're also a bit impractical. For example, the sink is too wide; an Asian woman might have to stand on her tiptoes to wash her face, and her stomach would be pressed against the cold basin. Cleanliness: It was generally clean, but there was mold around the shower gel and shampoo dispenser. Ambiance: No issues at all, a century-old hotel with a central sea view. Service: Everyone was quite enthusiastic, but I still wonder if tipping is expected/necessary?

I booked a sea view room, and when I woke up in the morning, a picturesque view was right before my eyes. The front desk staff was very friendly during check-in, and parking was convenient. I'd definitely book this hotel again next time.

The location is fantastic, right by two large shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient—just a three to four-minute walk away. While you'll need a taxi to get to the old town attractions, it means the area is much quieter. There's a Hua Yang restaurant right under the nearby Gurney Plaza, and the wait times are much shorter than in Kuala Lumpur, so I finally got to eat there! The facilities are a bit lacking and can't compare to five-star hotels in China. However, the service is excellent, and they even offer a shuttle bus. Breakfast was a bit disappointing; they start clearing up right on time, and the variety isn't huge. Overall, the service was very good and proactive.

We arrived at about 11am and managed to check in immediately which was a pleasant surprise! The room was really spacious and we loved that there is a filtered water tap within the room so we could refill our bottles easily and save money on buying bottled water. The only bummer was that on our second day, there was a power shutdown from 10am to 2:30pm (which they informed us beforehand), but at the same time, the lifts were having maintenance (not informed on this) and we were stuck at our level (20 floors up) for about 20 to 30 mins. We were not able to take the stairs down as well which was abit frustrating as we were running late. So they could have better planned or better coordinated the schedules for the maintenance work. But other than that, the rooms were really clean and the pool and gym were nice as well. The breakfast didn’t have many selection but it was decent. We loved that the hotel was just opposite the esplanade park too! Will stay here again!

My stay here was excellent! The hotel's location is superb, with convenient transportation, being very close to the subway station and shopping center. The check-in process was quick, and the front desk staff were enthusiastic, professional, and friendly. The room was clean and hygienic, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was good, ensuring a high-quality sleep. The room facilities were complete, the internet speed was fast, and the shower water temperature was just right with strong pressure. There are plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it offers great value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again next time. Highly recommend everyone to stay here!

Service: 24h frontdesk. No late check out after 12pm. Room: Smelly toilet (huge shame). Loud outdoor music at 722am-8am. Staff claim this is uncontrollable/cant be helped. Clean. Great bed and pillow. Noise from other rooms depend on luck (our stay did not have noisy neighbours). Has water dispenser. Location: Average. Hotel lobby for drop off and pick up point is a long one-way loop and not very convenient. My advise is to alight at the heritage block to save time and taxi money. Pool: Excellent roof top pool with excellent views of three sides of Penang. Downside is there are limited lounge chairs and usually packed with families and toddlers. No sauna/steam room. No outside food and drinks allowed. Gym: Great but didnt use. Price: Good. Lift: Crazy stupid position of buttons and order.

The Miren is another Marriott design hotel. It's a few hundred more expensive than the Marriott I stayed at before, but personally, I don't think the travel comfort was as good as the previous Marriott. The design is beautiful, but the sea view from the window felt a bit restricted, not wide enough. Although, you can watch the sunrise from the sea view room. Breakfast was an Ć  la carte buffet, and the taste was just okay, nothing special, not as delicious as advertised. The pool is very beautiful, and the service was excellent. There's a lively night market downstairs where you can eat. They also offer turn-down service. However, the handheld showerhead had very low water pressure, in addition to the rain shower. There was an incident during check-in where there was a bloodstain on the duvet. We called to have the duvet cover changed, and they explained that the person making the bed had cut their finger. While we didn't want to make a fuss, the hotel only offered a fruit platter that wasn't very tasty. For a high-end hotel, this level of customer service awareness is disappointing. I probably won't choose this one again.

This was our过渔 hotel for the first night in Penang, and they offer 24-hour check-in. We arrived past midnight, but the Malay guy at the front desk was still very attentive. The room wasn't big but felt new with a modern design. Our room type faced the back street, so it was quiet, but it looked directly onto the building opposite, offering no view at all. If a view is important to you, I recommend booking a different room type. The hotel is very close to Toh Soon Cafe and the Peranakan Museum, both within a five-minute walk. The surrounding area is pretty quiet with not many shops.

good place to escape from the busy city with a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views. The pool area and surroundings were relaxing, and the breakfast selection was decent too. However, I was a bit disappointed with the room amenities. The toiletries, especially the soap, didn’t feel like they matched the standard I expected from a 5-star hotel. Overall, it was a nice stay, but some details could be improved to better meet expectations.

GGuest UserTHE MOST AMAZING HOTE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN 10/10 1. Hotel Locaiton: Perfect as its not in the city and by the beach, amazing for relaxation. Hotel is surrounded by souvenir shops and street food. 10miute walk from Ferringhi Walk where there is a nice selection of street food but my favourite of all is that its just a 2 minute walk from my favorite restaurant in Malaysia, Ferringhi Garden. Penang trip isnt complete without going to Ferringhi Garden. Its an amazing restaurant with the most beautiful collection of plants, there is no other place like it in Malaysia. 2. The Hotel: Nothing bad to say about it. The design, the decor, everything about this hotel makes me want to stay there even longer. Its such a nice feeling being there. Facilities are clean and complete. 3. The Room: CLEAN. NICE. SPACIOUS. BEAUTIFUL. Every inch of the room is to my liking, i could not have asked for more. Mattress is thick and oh so comfortable. Aircond was cold. Room was very spacious. 4.The Buffet: The room came with breakfast for 2 and it was the perfect buffet to start each day with. Selection was incredible even better than a lot of buffet Ramadan Ive been to. They had everything from selections of breads, to nasi lemak with 12 different sambals, 5 different meat dishes to eat it with, assorted fruits, assorted cheeses, 2 types of porridge with the FULL suites of condiments, salads, pastries, roti canai with all the curries you will ever need, to your above average selection of continental breakfast menus like, beef bacon, beef and chicken sausages, hash browns, deli meats, smoked fish. And there is more! there is a made-to-order menu which many patrons are not aware of. I tried the minute steak and it was good!(pictured below) PS: Hakimi from breakfast service was spectacular, I requested strawberries for my picky 2 year old and he delivered. On the other hand, ANIS FROM THE OMELETTE STATION WAS RUDE TO MY WIFE, SHE NEEDS TO IMPROVE HER SOCIAL SKILLS(this is my one and only complain) Overall my stay was 10/10 and this will be the ONLY hotel i will be staying at if when im at Batu Ferringhi. I plan to go to Park Royal Batu Ferringhi Annually, its just that good!

AAnonymous User## Ambiance: The environment here is absolutely stunning, exceeding expectations. We booked the Rasa Wing, and although I'd read reviews worrying about dated rooms, that wasn't the case at all. The room materials and finishes felt very high-quality. However, since only a basic room was available, our window overlooked the parking lot and road, so we could hear traffic noise at night. If you bring earplugs, you won't hear it, so that's something to prepare for. ## Cleanliness: Cleanliness was excellent. Our room was serviced daily, and the hotel's public areas were also spotless. We even saw monkeys and lizards šŸ¦Ž – lucky us! šŸ€ ## Facilities: The Rasa Wing has an exclusive adults-only pool, where many Caucasians were lounging and sunbathing. Sometimes it was hard to find a free sunbed. The large trees in the public areas are truly therapeutic, and every part of the hotel is beautiful. ## Service: Service was very friendly. As a Rasa Wing guest, you can choose between two restaurants for breakfast. Ferringhi Grill is Ć  la carte, but I prefer buffets so I didn't go there. Each room also comes with executive privileges, including unlimited capsule coffee and tea bags, and the mini-bar is complimentary for the first fill. There's afternoon tea in the lobby lounge from 3 pm to 5 pm, followed by a complimentary cocktail hour from 5 pm to 7 pm. Before 8 pm, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are free-flowing, always accompanied by light snacks, desserts, cheese, salami, and fruit. If you have a smaller appetite, you could easily spend the whole day at the hotel and not even need dinner. Overall, it was a truly wonderful and incredibly restorative experience. We stayed for four nights and had a very enjoyable holiday.

GGuest UserThis five-star hotel, priced at a little over 400 [currency unit, e.g., MYR], offers incredible value for money, not just in Malaysia but anywhere. The breakfast is great, and kids eat free. On our departure day, after a quick chat, we were able to check out at 2 PM. They provide unlimited bottled water for the room, which saved us quite a bit. The water park next door is perfect for kids around ten years old, though it gets too sunny in the afternoon to really enjoy for long. The only downside is that the hotel feels like an island; you can't walk to grab a meal or visit a convenience store. The road outside has no sidewalks, so you're constantly relying on taxis. Taxis, taxis, taxis! That was a real pain. On a final note, the hotel pool is fantastic – hardly anyone there and super clean.

HHeihemaThe hotel is right by the sea, with the beach just beyond the lawn and outdoor pool. The staff provided excellent service, and check-in was very quick. I loved the lawn and big trees outside my window, especially when they were lit up at night – it looked beautiful. You can watch the sunset directly from your room or balcony, though many people go down to the beach to see it up close by the water. A short walk from there is the beach fire show. Turn right outside the hotel's main entrance, and you'll find a bustling night market in the evenings, with lots of traffic and activity. During the day, it's much quieter. It feels like a small town here, with many houses and even an amusement park, plus a surprisingly large Starbucks. As a Marriott resort, the hotel's facilities and services are top-notch. I especially have to mention the live cooking station at breakfast; both the freshly cooked noodles and vermicelli were delicious, but you absolutely cannot miss the soup – it was amazing! šŸ‘

GGuest UserHighly recommended for families with young children! The room isn't huge, but it's well-designed, with comfortable lighting and a clean, odor-free environment. The shower has great water pressure and gets nice and hot. There are plenty of kids' facilities, and the pool is excellent, with super responsible lifeguards – parents of older kids can really relax there. There's also a kids' club for children under 12. They have a private beach, though the sea in Penang isn't particularly blue and has jellyfish, so swimming isn't an option. Part of the hotel is under renovation, but my room felt very new, likely recently refurbished. There's a Hard Rock Cafe on the ground floor with a live band every night at 8:45 PM, creating a great atmosphere. This is a family-friendly hotel with excellent value for money.

GGuest UserEverything was sufficient and comfortable. The house was beautiful, neat, and clean. The fridge was fully stocked with ice, and the washing machine even came with detergent. There was a garment steamer and plenty of hangers. An extra mattress was provided, and the bedroom was set up like a hotel. The Smart TV had games. Even the smallest details were taken care of: AAA batteries for the remote, a bucket, a water filter for hot and warm water, and enough clothes hangers. A clothes drying rack was also provided, along with extension plugs at every bed. The WiFi was fast, the fan wasn't noisy, and the air conditioning was cold. The water heater also worked perfectly. Just a minor setback: the mailboxes weren't arranged in numerical order, making it difficult to find ours (not the host's fault). The microwave also wasn't working, which the host might not have noticed.

Outstanding
MM27758****A newly opened resort hotel that far exceeded my expectations! 1. Two-story detached villas with their own pools, directly connected to a circular public pool. The decor is very new, with an exotic Islamic style that's highly artistic. 2. The rooms are incredibly spacious. The first floor features a huge living room, dining area, and guest bathroom with shower, plus a kitchenette with a microwave and full-size refrigerator. The second floor includes a bedroom, work area, and a huge bathroom with a double Jacuzzi. 3. The private pool in the courtyard is approximately 7*4 cm and is absolutely beautiful. There are canopy beds and beach chairs nearby. 4. A stunning private pool breakfast. 5. Two private butlers provided service throughout. 6. Access to all facilities at the adjacent resort of the same brand, including the spa, restaurant, karaoke, and billiards room. Due to time constraints, I only tried the spa and restaurant, both of which were excellent. The restaurant prices were very reasonable; my meal only cost a little over 100 yuan. 7. The public swimming pool was amazing, it had a bit of a Venice feel to it šŸ˜‚ Overall, I couldn't stop praising it. Maybe because it just opened, the price was very cheap. I feel that comparable places would be at least 50% more expensive. Although it's not on the beach, it's very convenient to get there directly from the airport, taking less than an hour, even faster than going directly to Penang city. A very satisfying experience. My girlfriend kept taking pictures in there. It's a pity we only stayed one day (because there aren't any reviews on Ctrip yet 😭). Also, thank you to the butler for the attentive service šŸ˜‚
