Hi, hotel is conveniently located in the Airport. Short 2 minute walk from the International terminal.
Staff at reception pleasant, Restaurant service very helpful. It was easier to go to the restaurant and get a reservation for dinner. Reception staff struggled to make a reservation for dinner.
Rooms are comfortable, for a 5 star hotel it is missing toiletries and the soap provided is not to my liking.
Overall a good stay
The hotel lobby is nice, but the rooms are old. The air conditioner was broken when I stayed there a few days ago. Although the hotel provided a hair dryer and a vertical air conditioner, the noise was too loud and affected my rest! I don't recommend staying there at the moment
This hotel is conveniently located near the University of Auckland and the far end of Queen Street, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets just a two-minute walk away. The gym facilities are among the best you'll find in Auckland hotels, and both the rooftop pool and spa hot tub are very relaxing. Housekeeping is done daily, and the staff are proactive in communicating with guests. Excellent value for money.
The small facade, really small, has to be carefully scolded, or missed, the door is not like a five-star hotel. The hotel lobby is also small, and the lobby of several hotels in New Zealand is small. The whole hotel is very interesting from the appearance to the room. The restaurant is especially beautiful. There are not many food choices and the taste is OK. The breakfast delivered by the hotel is the simplest continental breakfast. It can be oversized, delicious, if you don't like it, you can choose Paid breakfast, it is worth living.
The breakfast is fantastic, parking is a little troublesome but understandable as it’s located in CBD. Hotel provides valet parking which is convenient for us. Great decorations and service provided.
I am travelling with family with kids and elderly. The grand is probably the best central location that you can find in Auckland if you are taking public transport. The pickup and dropoff for Skybus to Auckland airport is a 5 min walk away. The surrounding has plenty of restaurants including japanese & Chinese food. Facilities wise it has a gym and a heated swimming pool which the kids enjoy. Room is clean & spacious. Hotel price wise is on a high but weighing all the plus points, I will book it again for all the reasons above.
I bought the room voucher during Ctrip's promotion! The price-performance ratio is super high!
I want to praise Ctrip by real name! Please cooperate with New Zealand hotels more!
Super cost-effective five-star hotel!
Although it is a bit messy in the city, a good hotel can really give people a full sense of security!
Service: When you check in on the day of check-in, the guy will help you send your luggage to the room! The lady at the front desk was also very enthusiastic. On the day of departure, because the flight was booked at night, the lady arranged to postpone the check-out for two hours when the room was available. She also kindly told us that if the flight was at night, we could check out and take a shower in the gym downstairs before leaving!
Hygiene: Overall, the hygiene is very good, and the gym is also very clean. When I went to the gym at night, I found that the staff was cleaning very seriously at more than 10:00 every night. The only flaw was that on the last day of my stay, I found a huge cockroach on the tea cabinet in the room, which was really terrible for me who was extremely afraid of cockroaches. It is recommended to strengthen pest control.
Although it is not perfect, I will choose so/hotel without hesitation next time I come to Auckland.
The staff were extremely helpful and were able to offer ideas of what to see and places to go. The hotel is well located for those who want a short walk to Queen St,or down around the water front, was very clean and well serviced. However, the restaurant had a very poor selection of food at exorbitant prices.
The view from the balcony is amazing. You can see the sunrise from the balcony in the morning. The view from the breakfast room is also great.
It was far beyond my expectations, and the service was also very good. The staff helped with parking.
I will stay here again next time!!!
Hotel location is very good, crossing a small road is the port, not far from the sky tower Queen Street; the staff is very warm; breakfast is simple but enough to eat; whether the room or restaurant, ventilation is very good 👍

Amazing
GGuest UserLuxurious and excellent stay in the heart of Auckland. Booking here was a no-brainer as it's one of the newer and more modern hotels in Auckland CBD + the newness of the bedroom amenities and hotel facilities really showed. The footbridge on level 4 connects this hotel to the older SkyCity Hotel across the street and made it really easy to take shortcuts to avoid traffic (plus great to use in wet weather). The only thing I raised with reception though was I specifically requested a room with nice city views, but was advised I'd have to pay an extra ~$350 NZD per night as these rooms were located on level 8 and onwards. I only knew of this after I entered the room, and noticed a distinct shadow being cast into the room. Turns out we got a room facing the new multi-level carpark being built, so didn't get direct sunlight or nice views. The other thing to note is, this hotel doesn't have a pool. Otherwise, if you're looking to stay somewhere close to shops and restaurants, this is a great option as everything is close in walking distance.

MMarshalyuThe service here simply doesn't match the hotel's caliber! The front desk duty manager, Christine, was incredibly arrogant and showed a complete lack of service professionalism. Despite traveling with children, we were assigned two rooms on different floors and were not allowed to switch. What's more, to visit our other room, we were actually required to have someone go down to the lobby to 'pick up' the other guest! After I expressed my frustration, she didn't show any improvement in her attitude; instead, she just defensively argued about their identity verification process. Having stayed in hotels for countless years, I'm certainly well-versed in how customer identity checks work!

SSeetoh Chee WaiThe location of this hotel is excellent. It is nearby to shopping and harbour. There are also a lot of good resturants and eateries within walking distance.
The room are clean and staffs are friendly and helpful. The breakfast ia decent. Will definitely come back to this hotel if we are back in Auckland next time.

BBeccaYThe breakfast was nice with a wide variety. However, the house keeping could be better and a bit more attentive to the cleaningness of the room.
GGuest UserService was excellent we went for my sons birthday and they did not disappoint. The pool/spa was lovely. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet was fully stacked with everything you could think of. The staff even prepared a birthday cake surprise!
PPangxiongxiongchichengchengOverall, I'm quite satisfied. The location is excellent! It's right in the city center, with a large supermarket nearby, and Queens Shopping Street is just a stone's throw away.
Two things I wasn't happy about:
1. Housekeeping didn't replace the bath towels.
2. There's a lot of construction nearby, so it might be noisy in the mornings.
Oh, and also, there's a church opposite the hotel. On the day we were there, they held a 'World Homeless Day' event, and when we stepped out, there were a lot of homeless people, which was a bit startling.
