Al Hamra Village Hotel

The facility overall is good, and we truly appreciated having access to both Al Hamra Village Hotel and Residences, which gave us the opportunity to enjoy three swimming pools and the beach. We also really enjoyed the nighttime activities at The Frisky Fox bar and restaurant, as they were very entertaining. However, the service was quite poor due to the following: 1. My special request, which I added to my booking, was completely ignored. When I asked the reception, they said they had not been informed. 2. The waiting time at the reception for check-in and check-out was very long. 3. A simple request for a one-hour late checkout was not considered. 4. The food quality was very poor—well below three-star standards—and the staff were very slow in refilling buffet items. There were not enough plates for all guests, and we had to wait a long time to get clean ones. 5. The room was clean overall but extremely small, with the TV positioned awkwardly. We kept bumping our heads into it whenever we tried to reach the wardrobe. Additionally, the AC was very noisy, and the water pressure was very low most of the time. 6. The internet connection was very slow across all facilities.

The hotel is packed with tourist… the front desk initially give me a double bed even my booking says king bed with sofa. When we are already relaxing in our room after a long drive, someone from maintenance came and fix the design at the top of the headboard. They should be doing this before the guest checked in. Such an inconvenience! When I reported this to the front desk, they said they will check but never came back to me. The next day, I was asking for the help of the lifeguard to open the umbrella but he refused and told me to ask the help of other staff even though the umbrella is just behind him! We stayed to a lot of hotels and this is the first time I’m experiencing this poor service! The only good thing in this hotel is the breakfast and the houskeeping. They are well trained and nicer compared to other departments.

The biggest thing is the smell of sewage in the room. It was unbearable. The last night I had to literally use oils I had to try and not smell it. The noise levels the night before from a party was not fun. The room itself is roomy and super basic. It was quite clean and that I appreciated. The smell though again, unbearable. The smell seemed to permeate much of the hotel. Breakfast was super mediocre. The smell of fried food in there was quite gross and stuck with you. I avoided breakfast the last 2 mornings bc it just wasn’t worth it. Sorry! The beach and pool area were nice though and it was in a great location close to lots of things.

I had a great stay at Hilton garden. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were impressive. The location was convenient, making it easy to explore the area.

1. Leaving the room to the sea at 8 am, I turn on the ”clean up” button. At 6 pm (sunset) on the beach they whistle for everyone to get out of the sea and leave the beach. I come to the room at 6:05 pm - they are just entering to clean the room. You stand wet in the corridor under the air conditioners and wait for them to clean up. It is not clear for whom the green ”clean up” light was on for 10 hours. The most useless thing in this hotel is the ”clean up” button. Lack of organization of the cleaning process (time). 2. The fire alarm went off several times in the middle of the night. 3. Very bad towels both in the room and on the beach: old, poorly washed, with some kind of discharge, stains, grayish. 4. Three times in 2 weeks they gave 20 grams of soap (the size of a coin) to the room. 5. They give two bottles of water per day, 500 grams each. To the room. In 40 ° heat. Usually in the Emirates they put four everywhere. You can ask and they will give it to you, but you have to look for it. 6. The socket for charging the phone at the table is far from the bed. 7. Very bad Wi-Fi. It only works well in the morning until 7 am while everyone is sleeping. Then the whole day until late evening there is almost no signal. But there are two computers in the lobby if you need to check in for a flight. 8. The beach at the hotel. 9. About 90 percent are vacationing: Russians, Kazakhs and Belarusians. 10. The sea is beautiful. We were there in mid-October, the sea was + 29. Very many with small children. 11. Shampoo, air conditioning and gel are topped up, but only if you ask. The quality is good. 12. Nice bed linen. 13. You have to ask for slippers. There was no robe or hair dryer. 14. Strong audibility between rooms. 15. There is always water on the floor in the shower after the shower due to improper design. 16. The air conditioner often turned off by itself for a while, then turned on by itself 🤷♂️.
