Novotel Madrid Center

The hotel is about 15 minutes from the international airport by taxi. It's about 15 minutes by taxi from the train station. There is a subway station nearby within a 3-minute walk. Very convenient. There are only six stations to take the metro to the palace. The hotel room is very spacious and clean, and there is a sofa bed, which is enough for a family to share a room.

There are four stages in the journey, and I am now on the third stage. Madrid is the second stage. This hotel is the best one among the three stages so far!! The room is very clean and spacious. There is a safe and a refrigerator. The toilet is separated into wet and dry areas. There is a circle of mirrors in the toilet, which makes it convenient for me and my friend to move separately. While she washes, I can also put on makeup. There are hand soap/shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Free water every day!! Super considerate. The service is also very nice. There is a restaurant on the 0th floor. Those who push large luggage can enter from the side door of the restaurant. There are only steps at the hotel entrance. There is a bus stop and a subway station next to the hotel, so the transportation is relatively convenient. You can walk to Retiro Park in the morning. You can also pass by two large supermarkets on the way.

To start my review I will point out the positive things which were unfortunately not that many. The hotel is well located to most everything in Madrid via Metro or walking distance to all restaurants and shopping wishing the center of town. Great foodie destinations and shopping are close by, and that’s where the positive comments will stop. Upon checking in the first signs of poor service were obviously there. They mentioned that because I booked via the “App” Trip.com or other then we would not be considered like others who booked via their own site or preferred partners. The room was on the first floor and next to the housekeeper room which was non-stop and especially first thing early morning was my alarm clock at 7am everyday whilst on my vacation, so clearly not a a good thing. Second and another very important issue was the A/C which didn’t work correctly and was making noise, the room was warm and humid the whole time, I mentioned to the reception within 10min of checking in, 4 nights and nothing was done to improve or correct this issue. Any request or comment was never taken in a professional, responsible or respectful way. As I was on a well deserved vacation I didn’t want to get angry and cause more stress to myself, but I was clear that I would not let this pass without commenting on it. The breakfast was good, clean but very limited in regards to selection. When requesting your eggs as they mentioned at each table the request was always ignored and just whatever was available even cold eggs as times were sent out. I had to request each day that my eggs were to be prepared soft/runny and they usually brought out cold m, dry and overcooked. So they would give me a look when I asked to please prepare as requested and then after some time they would come back with the order as mentioned. Over all it was an effort that I don’t need or want at each stage of the interaction with staff and the facility. I will stick to my usual Usual choice which is Bonvoy group of hotels next time.

I had a fantastic time at Hard Rock Hotel Madrid! The room was spacious, stylish, and super comfortable, with a great shower and a music-themed design. The food was delicious, especially the breakfast buffet. The hotel’s location is perfect. It is close to popular attractions and the metro station nearby makes getting around easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience was fun and relaxing. I’d definitely stay here again!

The hotel was nice. The location was perfect and the hotel feels modern and new. The staff was friendly. My favorite part was enjoying the rooftop, the hotel guests have priority to enter since it has become a landmark in Madrid. I would stay again here

Room was nice but I expected much more interesting decor from the ads. Area was very subdued, I think the restaurant was closed, maybe because of off season. Bed was comfortable and room was adequate. Liked the room darkening shades. Front desk help very nice and helpful with transportation questions. Overall harder to get to than I needed.
Hotel Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, Affiliated by Meliá

The service. There is no staff available to support with baggage. Providing the baggage cart helps, however, expecting help from people to load baggage. Transfer to the airport. Efficient service, however, the same problem. Nobody helps to get the baggage up to the bus that you take to the airport. The bathroom is open in the bathroom that NOT prevents the water from leaving the bathroom, the floor is completely wet and risking swallowing****.

Basically no one is on duty, check-in and check-out are self-service, which is OK when there are no problems, but it is more troublesome when there are problems. In addition, the transportation is convenient, the environment is also very good, the cleanliness is in place, and it is very spacious to live with children

The room was very clean. It was just renovated not long ago. The room was new and simple and elegant. I was very satisfied. Everything was good, except that there was no scale to weigh the luggage.

Opposite atocha train station but can take sometime to cross over because it’s located along major crossroads . Terrace faces retiro park but not much can be seen. Terrace room seems all located on 7th floor (highest is 8). The room is quite dusty (on the floor) though it looks clean on the whole. Amenities requested through a scan of QR code. Requested for a few items (as there are none not even a kettle!) and received a call that they already have slippers and dental kit in the room but will send anyway. But there was no slippers and dental kit in the room that’s why I request. Anyway, out of the things which I requested, they only sent over the above 2 and kettle. Some other items they did not sent to me even though I requested such as tea bag and amenity kit.
