Lovely location. Only stayed 1 night. Room was lovely but starting to look a little dated, peellng varnish on doors, sink tap looked worn, bin in bathroom needed throwing away and replacing! But, beautiful views, excellent breakfast, conformable bed and pillows.

Stayed here for one night this weekend. Had such a lovely and memorable stay. My sister advised the hotel that it was my birthday and they really added the personal touch to make me feel special. Special thanks goes to Erin in the spa who was so lovely and welcoming, he is a real asset to your hotel. Our room was lovely overlooking the gardens. Great location to explore Cheltenham as only a short taxi ride away. We had a spa treatment and used the pool area which were all nice. All staff we spoke we were friendly and welcoming. The cookie on arrival is also a nice touch. I would definitely return to this hotel 😊

The staff on the night Dean and Dee were amazing very cooperative and friendly. I received all the help and support that I needed. Georgia the event manager was very helpful also provided me with all the information that I needed and got everything sorted for our event making it less stressful for me.The venue itself is extremely well kept very tidy and you get a lot of space for a very reasonable price. I am very happy about my experience at the robinswood hotel and would definitely recommend:)

We booked a hotel for one night. The initial price seemed quite good, but it was quite annoying to find out that there was a lack of transparency. They didn’t mention that the car park had an extra charge of £7. Additionally, on Trip.com, breakfast was available for an extra £14, and it was stated that kids under four years old eat for free. When the receptionist asked if we wanted breakfast, we said we would decide in the morning, and she didn’t mention anything further. However, we found out in the morning that breakfast cost £16. Had we decided the night before, it would have been £13, but they also asked for an additional £5 for the kids. Furthermore, the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Also swimming pool was closed.

Great stay, comfortable and very clean room. Welcoming and friendly staff throughout: Laura at the front desk was welcoming, helpful and very personable which made our stay the more enjoyable. A free phone line to a taxi firm that also offered a prompt and easy service

Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads. Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing! No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel. Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way.

Beautiful building in stunning grounds with a very stately home appearance. Staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed in a suite which was very luxurious but somewhat confusingly does not have a room number but the name of a poet, however when we were handed the keys the receptionist only mentioned the room number…several minutes later after wandering around in circles looking for the rooms marked as the location for 22-27 we discovered that the e-key wallet had the name Kipling as well as 26…that made it a bit easier. We eat at the restaurant the first evening and the bistro the second evening, food was very good and service quick and attentive at both locations, however the lighting at both was a bit too romantic for my eyes and i struggled to read the menu in the “atmospheric” lighting particularly in the Atrium Bistro. One of the reasons we booked was because of the EV Charging facility and although not a fault of the hotel it was very annoying to see vehicles parked at this location who either could not use the Tesla chargers (other manufacturers EV’s) or had parked at these location with 3 pin plug connections draped out of windows and taking up several spaces. I did actually manage to get a charge the two nights we were there but people should be a bit more thoughtful when using these facilities and park elsewhere once charged or if they cannot charge. The management seemed to shrug their shoulders at this when I complained. The room was of a good size and fittings were excellent along with the en-suite, The windows rattled a bit at night but you have to expect this at this type of building, very comfortable bed which was very large . A good location for touring the area with Gloucester Cathedral, Wotton on the edge, Westonbirt Arboretum all within a short drive.

The location is very good, in the city centre. The hotel is very new and very design. The room is very spacious. The hotel should have been transformed from a historic building. If you park your car, the parking lot at the entrance of the hotel will stop at 6pm-8am, but you can only park for two hours at other times. I will arrive after six o'clock, go directly to the meter to pay, you can stop until 10 o'clock the next day. If it is going to take longer, the hotel will recommend stopping to a public parking lot a little further away.

We stayed for 2 nights in the cambray suite. It was brilliant. Complimentary soft drinks and water in fridge. Lovely outlook to the promenade. Only slight downside was no bedside drawers. Not a game changer. On chec²kin and check out receptionist were absolutely lovely a real assest. Had breakfast and dinner food excellent quality again staff brilliant...but then all hotel staff are great real assest. Hotel itself well maintained best hotel we have stayed in, and we have stayed in some nice hotels including the Ritz in london. Definitely 5 stars dont change a thing

This was an excellent hotel. Service was great. From James in reception who welcomed us with professionalism and warmth & tips to visit, to the restaurant staff who were helpful and responsive. The chef was great - food was tasty and to a great standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating as well. We had an awesome and restful stay. Our dog enjoyed the bed and treats as well as walks in the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We will make tgis hotel an regular on our list.

We booked 4 rooms for a family celebration at this hotel. The place looks great from the outside and the Japanese bar is also nice. The issue is that the rooms are just not good enough. We had one good one out of 4. Our other rooms were in attics with the bathrooms upstairs and a tiny bedroom space. In fact the room was so small that we couldn’t open an ironing board to press our clothes and there was nowhere to put the cases out of the way. When we asked for an alternative room, we were TOLD in no uncertain terms that it was not possible. Our room was too hot and we had to open the window at night but then couldn’t sleep as the outdoor bar was below with loud music. We just could not recommend it for a comfortable stay. A couple of nice touches, like robe and slippers but the room quality was frankly poor. Breakfast was interesting and nice but was not included in our tariff. It feels like every inch of the indoor and outdoor space has been monetised and very little thought given to customer service or comfort.

From outside looked scruffy and uncared for inside was fine althoug8evening meal was a little fragmented and confusing not helped by one of the group moving the nameplaces around Some guests tried it on complaining their food was inadequate but in fact most of us found the food was really nice and to top it top it all we all got a substantial reduction in price. The management redeemed themselves entirely. Would I stay again, yes we would as we think it is a work in progress.

The room is not big, but the service staff is very friendly. The lights are very warm and the bed is very comfortable. It is close to CLC school and just opposite. It is a good place to stay with your children. It is also very close to the store square. It is 20 minutes walk from the cheltenham SPA. Minutes to the hotel.

The room is nice, but the elevator is broken. The waiter has a good attitude and helps to mention the door of the room. It is the best hotel for visiting the school

Boutique hotel, the room is clean and tidy, the location is very good, very close to CLC, it is very convenient to go to the town, I will definitely choose to stay next time.

We went to celebrate a special birthday with friends and overall we had a wonderful time. A very warm welcome from the reception team. They showed us to our room (Brocklebank) and parked the car. Brockleybank is a large, top floor suite. On entering you have a decent size lounge area, with sofa and armchairs. The rest of the suite is laid out in an L shape, with the bedroom being at the other end, with views overlooking the front of the hotel. It has two bathrooms, one with a bath the other with a shower. The room is in the eves of the hotel, there are some low ceilings and wooden beams to look out for. All in all a very pleasant room, not cosy, and missing a few more colourful touches, but all in all a nice suite to stay in. We met our friends in the bar. Ordered a bottle of Taittinger Champagne. First glass was poured then nothing. We sat there with empty glasses and three people, including the barman walked past and no one noticed or offered to top up our glasses. I personally find this very poor service. It was not like they were busy, only one other couple in the bar!!! Finally we gave up and poured our own champagne for the rest of our time there. We also had to ask for nibbles, crisps, olives and nuts. These were served in very small bowls, (and there were four of us) sadly at not small prices. We had booked dinner in the Atrium. So we met in the bat for drinks. This time a very helpful, friendly barman looked after us and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. All credit to him. Dinner was exceptionally good. The food was imaginative, well presented and each of the dishes explained. We also chose the Wine Flight. At £97 per person it was not cheap but again the choice of wines was well mated to each of the dishes. Back to the bar for a nightcap and excellent service from the bar man. Breakfast the next day was a mixture of buffet along with ordering from a menu. The buffet was good however, I would say they could improve the quality and size of the croissants. Very small and somewhat dry, when you put a knife into them they imploded into flakes of pastry. English breakfasts looked good. The smoked Salmon and scrambled eggs was also good, if a little stingy on the Smokes Salmon. We had also booked afternoon tea. Which was a very pleasant experience. Good choice of sandwiches, a tart as well as the usual scones, cakes etc., All in all a very pleasant stay.

Went for afternoon tea with my sister to celebrate her birthday Had a table on the terrace with a lovely view The tea was really good Sandwiches lovely and fresh with a good selection and very nice selection of cakes too Would definitely go again we had a very enjoyable afternoon Used a buy a gift voucher which was also no trouble for the staff who were very friendly and helpful No complaints at all

We'd initially booked the Quays Room - positioned as ”executive plus” on the website. Making the usual allowances for the building being old, this was a horrible room. The carpet looked like it needed a deep, deep clean; the ceiling had massive cracks, but the real kicker was the windows. The website for the hotel says: ”Located on the first floor of the manor house, this room offers views of the roof top terrace.” Does it, though? Or does one window look out onto a small area surrounded by walls on all four sides? Kind of an accidental void caused by the layout, rather than the sort of thing you'd expect from a ”roof terrace”. As a side note, you could gain access to this - ahem - terrace via an unlocked door in the corridor, which means that literally anyone could, should they choose, pitch up outside your bedroom window. Hold on, though - it's a dual aspect room. The second window looks out on a scene so grim they've permanently boarded it up with wooden slats, which you can fiddle with and squint through to see some more roofs. Absolutely understand that not every room can look out onto the Gloucestershire coutryside, but if you're booking a room pitched as being not merely executive, but executive plus, and priced accordingly, you don't expect to wind up in a space that would have been considered a bit much for the First Mrs Rochester. We elected to change rooms - paying a whack extra for a room above the spa. Like the Quays, this also wasn't worth the price being asked, but we rationalised that the additional £40 a night was a surcharge in order to not be spending time in the miserable Executive Plus level. The spa side of the hotel is better - it felt a lot cleaner, the rooms are currently being renovated and upgraded (ominous that a management response here says they're only overhauling 20 of their bedrooms, as this implies the Tumbledown Manor side are going to be left untouched.) The walk-in shower is brilliant, but feel sorry for the cleaning staff as the floor hasn't been laid properly so it doesn't quite drain properly and must be a faff to clean. The rooms further up the corridor appear to have actual, proper balconies - ours didn't, as the pool was beneath us and for some reason they'd decided we weren't allowed to get onto the terrace outside our room. We had a bit of a view across the garden to the trees, although much of it was of the green roof of the pool. You can't control the temperature of the room at all - the first night it was way too hot, but there wasn't even an off switch for the heated towel rail. We opened the windows and just about made the room bearable. The common areas of the hotel had radiators blasting out at high levels - maybe something was broken as a lot of doors were propped open the next, more bearable, day (including external doors, which was cooling but interesting from a security perspective.) Satisfied, exceeded expectations. The room is like a small duplex, clean and sanitary, with good space and comfortable living. The service is good, whether it is the front desk or the restaurant waiter, they are all quite polite. The location of the hotel is very good, and the scenery is right outside. The products and environment of the restaurant in the hotel are very good. Recommended!

Stayed 2 nights. Self checkin owners send your room number and garden gate key code on day of arrival. Parking in grounds and just outside the property on a grass verge. Breakfast was so lovely, fresh fruit, freshly cooked croissants, tea coffee and fruit juice. Husband had the cooked breakfast, bacon and sausages good quality. I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, eggs cooked perfectly and a nice amount of salmon. Stayed in many b&b and this breakfast was definitely the nicest we’ve had. The bed was very comfortable and room and bathroom small but very clean. The only criticism I have is the room we had was an attic room with sloping ceiling, there was a large low beam across the room my husband banged his head getting out one evening and had a small cut which was bleeding. We are both quite tall and had to stoop and slide into bed. I would stay again but not in this room it’s too small for a double bed
