4-Star Hotels in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Croatia

Very nice hotel, friendly staff and very clean. Only negative is most tourists come here in the summer for the beautiful shorelines and amazing sea and the hotel should install a retractable laundry line in the bath/shower to hang the bathing suits and beach towels (which you must buy locally or bring yourself as the hotel does not supply them.) The buffet breakfast is utstanding. Now for the region of Rijeka, if you have toured Europe and many of its historical places, this industrial city that also caters to tourists (for the beautiful sea, shoreline, crystal clear waters and amazingblue skies) seriously needs to power wash every building as 95% of them have probably 70 years of industrial grime on them. This is sad because many of the really historic buildings are quite beautiful (not the communist block and industrial buildings, which unfortunately dominate this city. ) As for the gastro experience in Rijeka, truly outstanding food a d service every where you eat, from the pizza bars to fine dining. The people of Rijeka are truly pleasant and focused on being outstanding ambassadors for Croatia.

The hotel is very compact, and it is not easy to find a parking space. It is said that you need to make an appointment in advance. The room is also relatively small, and it is difficult to open if there is a large luggage in the room. ** is very small, few people play, *******, other tables are idle. The location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient to the seaside and major attractions. There are many hotels and restaurants in the surrounding area.

Just returned from 10 days half board at the Excelsior. Booked a single room with limited see view but delighted to be allocated a double room overlooking the whole bay on the 7th floor. All facilities consistently clean and tidy, buffet lunch and breakfast always plentiful and varied. Sunbeds reserved daily despite signs telling patrons not to but always managed to find a bed when we wanted one. pool area could get rather noisy as we were in the European school holidays which we had not thought about. Staff have excellent English and always helpful and polite. No complaints here

WiFi ok. parcheggii a pagamento vicinissimi e sicuri. ottima soluzione x visitare la città di Fiume o zone circostanti ..

Hotel facilities and guest rooms were fine. Excellent location. Front desk agent service was average. More of a 3-Star hotel. At checkout, I observed the front desk agent lean over to his left to look at another screen and operate its keyboard This was located beyond the computer screen directly in front of him. I repositioned myself slightly (on the guest side of the front desk) to get a slight glimpse of that “second” screen. It was the hotels’ CCTV screen. He was viewing my guest room and my guest room’s bathroom prior to completing my checkout! Was he was checking to see if the room was intact and no fixtures missing? I was so surprised at the time, I didn’t bother to ask him. Only at this moment did I realize that the (smallish) camera placard affixed to the hotel’s exterior wall to the left of the entrance indicated that the hotel had camera lenses INSIDE the guest rooms and bathrooms! I had initially thought that the camera plaque was informing guests that the grounds and public spaces were under camera surveillance. After departing the front desk, I went to a friend’s guest room (who hadn’t checked out yet), to look for in room camera lenses. Sure enough. Located in center of bedroom at ceiling fixture above the bed was one. The other was also on the ceiling in the bathroom. Clearly visible because I was actively looking for cameras lenses. Reason enough for me to not stay at this hotel again. Can only imagine how their night auditor entertains himself when bored in the middle of the night.

We spent a few days in the National Park of Plitvicer Lakes and decided to take a short-term trip to Opatija before the return. The accommodation is probably the most north of the Kvarner Bay. In the lower area a well-visited coffee, rooms and apartments on the first floor and a terrace with bedrooms. Clean and tastefully furnished rooms with AC and treasury doors. Heartful service as well as a small but not missing breakfast selection, simply family. Before coffee sufficient free parking for guests. Over the street access to the sea with bathing facilities in an former campsite. Unfortunately, we were a little away, so we went by car to Volosko and explored the beach promenade and Opatija.

My wife and I stayed here for a night while travelling between Belgrade and Venice and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel itself was very clean and well appointed. The room was comfortable and quiet with a beautiful view of the sea from the patio. We didn’t get to use the indoor or outdoor pool during our stay but they and the gym were very clean and in excellent condition. The value for our stay was already excellent but what set this stay apart was the truly exceptional service from Dario at the front desk. From check in to checkout and everywhere in between he was warm, friendly and eager to serve. He was of great help assisting us with parking and took care to inform us of an upcoming road closure that would have been quite disruptive to our plans. Every interaction with him was a pleasure and we felt that he genuinely enjoys his work. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Opatjia!

It was our third time in Hotel Savoy and as always, we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is delicious and has a big variety of food (different kinds of ham, cheese, bread, bread rolls, fruit, jam, sausages, eggs, etc.). The beach is clean and isn't crowded. You need to pay for the sunbeds but it's worth it as they're clean and a normal distance from one other so you can have a rest, read a book or take a nap. The water is crystal clear and deep as soon as you get into it. We booked a standard room with partial sea view and a superior room with a sea view. The former one is of course smaller but you don't feel to be in a tin, the view is still beautiful to the sea. The latter one is spacious, light and has an amazing sea view. Both of them are spotless and in a very good condition. There're some loud bars in front of the hotel but thanks to the insulation, you can hear almost nothing at night. I'm a terrible sleeper and could still manage it on the first floor. Thank you Hotel Savoy for making our holiday so nice and peaceful. We'll definitely be back!
