1. Check your Boarding Station in Advance

Major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou are so vast that they have multiple railway stations. These are usually named by combining the city name with a cardinal direction (e.g., Guangzhou South Station). Be sure to double-check your ticket and make sure you head to the correct station!

2. Check the Baggage Allowance for Carry-on Items

The free baggage allowance is 20 kg for most adult passengers and 10 kg for children. On high-speed EMU trains, each item's total external dimensions (length + width + height) must not exceed 130 cm, and each item must not weigh more than 20 kg.
