The hotel boasts an excellent location and a unique, tasteful decor with wooden elements throughout, which I really loved. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, changing daily. You can even see the Matterhorn from the balcony, though my view from the second floor was unfortunately somewhat limited. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the single rooms are a bit on the smaller side. It's very convenient for the train station and exploring the town, with a Coop supermarket, shops, and restaurants all conveniently located nearby. After a 2-night stay, it was overall a very pleasant experience!

I was worried because there were many reviews about the room cleanliness and carpet, but The floor was made of wood and the bathroom was clean. I traveled with my mom and was very satisfied. I checked in late and had to call to confirm the check-in method.. And they kindly left a long guide at the reception, so I was very grateful. I stayed at the cheapest price and I highly recommend it to those who are going nearby. However, it was summer, not the season to go to the Leukerbad hot springs.. The road to Leukerbad was winding, so it was a difficult road for me, who was driving for the first time in a long time, not only for this hotel but also for those visiting the area.

The hotel is located on the main street of Zermatt and it is very convenient to get off the train for two minutes. The room is large in size and the decoration style is elegant and comfortable. There is a balcony to see Matt Peak. The only inconvenience is that because it is a slope roof on the top of the bed, there is a cross beam that is easy to hit the head. It takes a few times to pay attention to ⚠️ The hotel's breakfast was great, with more varieties and fresh and delicious ingredients. The service staff was also polite and thoughtful. The town is not big, and the dining and shopping around the hotel are very convenient.

The room looks big from the photos, but it's actually quite small and crowded. The facilities indicated that there was a refrigerator, but there wasn't one. I bought some ice cream and wanted to go back to freeze it, but there was no refrigerator. The toilet in the room I stayed in happened to have a swamp smell, but the location was very convenient, right next to the subway station.

The Matterhornlodge is located about a 5-10 min walk from the Zermatt station. We arrived at about 1pm and were informed that check-in was only at 2pm so we went for lunch and returned at around 2.30pm. We were greeted by Ruth, the proprietress of the hotel, who gave us a comprehensive briefing of the house rules and policies. Ruth was very warm, friendly, and charming; she was very guest-focused and was happy to find out more about where we were from and what we planned to do. Ruth even gave us recommendations for Bern when we told her we were going there next. Although the hotel is stated to be 4 stars, we were very impressed by the room and the amenities. The bathroom came with a bidet and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The room was also very spacious with enough room to open up 2 luggage bags. The towels and robes were thick, warm, and fluffy. The breakfast provided in the morning was also quite good with a decent selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs. At checkout, Ruth also gave us a complimentary ride to the train station in her electric vehicle. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Matterhornlodge and we were very impressed by Ruth’s hospitality.

Exceeded our expectations! As a family of three, we booked a mountain-view suite on the top floor. With a pull-out sofa bed in addition to the main double bed, it could easily accommodate four people! Plus, it boasts a balcony with direct Matterhorn views and a comfy swing chair, perfect for taking in the panoramic town scenery. Absolutely fantastic! While the furniture isn't brand-new or ultra-modern, and there's no air conditioning, that seems to be the norm across Zermatt. We had a very comfortable stay! The price was also very reasonable, especially compared to the high rates we encountered in previous cities (perhaps due to the 2025 Women's Euro, as big city hotels were pricey). It felt like excellent value for money! The hotel's location is great, only about 400 meters from the train station – a leisurely stroll of less than ten minutes. Oh, and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to every detail. My broken English was absolutely no barrier to communication! :)

A very pleasant hotel in Zermatt, very design, the front desk is very warm, take the initiative to take you to the room to introduce various facilities. There was a fog on the day of the trip, I didn't see the top of the mountain, but the snow that woke up the next morning made my son very happy. The breakfast was very rich and you could order a single egg and waffles or something. The room facilities were also very good, there was a small fireplace, and it was very warm in winter. There is an open-air pool on the first floor of the hotel, and the feeling of ice and fire is still very exciting. There is a hockey court at the door. The children are practicing hockey early in the morning. It is fun to watch it next to it.

The hotel is very beautiful inside and outside, the room is large, there are facilities such as spa sauna gym, breakfast is good. Very close to the Glacier Paradise cable car, but far from the station, there is a large luggage need to call the hotel early to pick up and drop off, about 15 minutes to the station. More disappointing is that the original reservation of the mountain view room, but the first floor only saw a little bit of the mountain top, to the golden sunrise or to endure the cold run out of the hotel outside the wooden bridge location can be reached first, there is a big difference with the hotel.
