Padi Ecolodge

Padi Eco Lodge - A Mixed Experience The lodge has friendly staff and clean rooms, which made our stay comfortable. However, walking to the property from the parking area is quite far, and the path is dark at night. Adding street lights would improve safety and convenience. The café opens at 8 am, which is late for guests with early schedules. An earlier opening time, like 7 am, would be more practical. The bathroom amenities were minimal—only body wash was provided, with no shampoo available. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay, but there’s room for improvement in convenience and amenities.

The room is very clean and its very near to Masjid Al Hakim. Only 5mins walking distance to the beach too. The toilet also clean and they also provide water dispenser, so no hustle to worry to buy mineral water together with the iron (upon request). I also used the laundry service which is very good and the price also quite cheap. I went during Ramadan, hence anyone who want to discover Padang during Ramadan, i would really recommend to stay at this hotel!

Comfortable, quiet and clean. Friendly staff, just a little noisy from other guests running around.

Good location near Chinatown, Old Dutch buildings, and harbour. The reception was very helpful. Room was small but clean. Breakfast (nasi goreng) and self-service coffee and tea were provided.

A simple hostel which gives a friendly and warm atmosphere as it is run by a family. Exceptionally clean, cheap, good WiFi connection, stylish ambience as u can see how nicely meticulous it is decorated by the owner Ling, who is very approachable, whom you can have a good chat with as a friend. I stayed in the capsule dorm and it is comfortable with good quality facilities, every guest should experience it, very reasonable price 130000 rupiah per night with really sumptuous breakfast.

A bit disappointed, Booking 2 rooms on the trip app but once checking in the customer service information that the room booked was empty and offered another room with an additional cost of 100 million, we could refuse but because it was already night and we were reluctant to agree. Gusthouse is new so it is still clean but the facilities are not complete like TV.

Second Hope Lodge

I am Dai from China. I was very satisfied with my stay for 3 days. Especially the two brothers showed their care and help to me. I was very touched and left their contact information. I will definitely stay here next time. The environment is very good. Well, the most important thing is that it’s cheap, a bed for 45-50 yuan. This brother took me to play on a motorcycle. I gave him gas money, and then I went to eat Padang rice. He recommended two hotels and I said yes. It’s better if it’s cheaper and not so expensive. He was happy to go with me. This brother is really nice and kind. I’m leaving here today and he even took me to the train station on his motorcycle. I was really touched. I hope he is a good man and has a safe life. The boss is his brother. He gave me a charger and helped me plug in the socket. I have stayed in many hotels and this is the first time I have given a good review. It comes from the bottom of my heart. After drinking two bottles of beer, it was okay. After bargaining, the boss charged me 90,000 Indonesian rupiah less. I was deeply touched, especially in a foreign country. This warmth is really heart-warming. I will definitely stay here again next time I come, at least for half a month, this time. Because I have traveled abroad to visit several countries and it’s time to go home, I sincerely give it a 5-star review. 👍
