Homestays in Tinh Thua Thien-Hue Province, Vietnam

The location is a bit remote from the main streets, but it is within a 10 minute motorcycle ride. It is truly a homestay, there is an auntie who lives there full time, who is relatively friendly. It is shown in the pictures, but I didn't notice that the bed doesn't have a proper frame, it basically lies on the floor on a wooden pallet, but the mattress is decent. The room has lots of electronic devices, such as a dehydrator and an insect killer. The TV is huge. The bathroom experience is also good. The huge issue I had, that made my experience poor is a curtain, that doesn't properly close the window, so it's possible to clearly see the room from the yard. The management provided a makeshift half-solution, and assured me they will fix it in future, but I share my experience. There are some other small issues that should be fixed, but after they complete I think guests should have a good stay.

One of the highlights of our vacation was the opportunity to visit traditional craft villages and experience first-hand the vibrant crafts and traditions of Hue. We visited a conical hat making village, where we learned the intricate process of creating Vietnam's iconic conical hats. We also explored the traditional weaving village, where the rhythmic sound of the looms filled the space and witnessed the process of creating beautiful silk fabrics. Truly an interesting and worthwhile destination, the service and Very comfortable place to stay, definitely a place you should not miss when coming to Hue City

I loved the hosts very much, everything was perfect, the room, the cleanliness, the smile of the guests.

I can't imagine anyone would find a better deal for the price. A brilliant location, airconditioning that worked extremely well, and just enough space for our 5 night stay. It is a little tired around the edges, but service is great - the receptionists went above and beyond to help us out a couple of times. Breakfast wasn't included but that suited us just fine, preferring to explore some of the local food options nearby.

It's nice that the shower room and toilet are separate, but it feels stuffy because it has no windows and is narrow. Other than that, it is decorated cutely and is worth staying in. There is no noise as it is in an alley. It was a shame there was no TV.

We searched for hotels in Hue that are a true value, and Soleil house is definitely that! Our room and the friendly courteous staff exceeded our expectations! Our room was about 40m², and was nicely appointed. It was sunny & breezy, spacious and comfortable. It had a nice view up the road, and a partially enclosed balcony with chairs and table. The king size bed was comfortable, and the linens crisp and clean. The spacious bathroom was nicely laid out, with sliding glass door enclosed shower. The reception and management team, Ms. Hieu and Ms. Vy were very attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. Ms. ?, the housekeeper, did an excellent job keeping the hotel, and our room super clean & hygienic. Soleil house is located central to pretty much everything in Hue; easy to get to the Citadel, restaurants,Tourist areas and attractions, and train station… all within 2 km radius. Talk about convenient! Free parking out front too!. We knew we were in the right hotel for our quick trip to Hue. We felt comfortable and relaxed here, and recommended it to locals and foreigners looking for a great value! Wishing all of you who stay here to have the same experience and feelings about this place, that we have! We’ll stay here again.

I like it, the price is very good, I will come back to Hue Imperial City next time. I checked in on November 22. It is the rainy season. When it rains heavily, the road will be a little watery and come and go fast.

I had the most wonderful stay at this boutique hotel, which is perfectly located just a few steps away from the entrance to the citadel and a short walk to the Cầu Trường Tiền, one of the bridges that spans the Perfume River and which has a pedestrian part. The receptionists were so wonderful and warm, they gave me tips on where to eat and where to go, tips on the weather, gave me water before I left, talked to my Grab driver for me, and when I said I was looking for Bún bò Huế, they arranged to have it for me for breakfast. They also encouraged me to try salted coffee, a Hue specialty, which they had available for breakfast and I was glad I did (despite not being a coffee drinker). My room was exactly as it was in the photos, and I loved it! The bed was spacious and comfortable, the room and bathroom were spotless (I especially loved the design of the bathroom), and they had everything I needed. Breakfast always came with fresh passionfruit and pineapples. With a welcoming lobby and great interiors, it was definitely my oasis in Hue (especially during the hottest day in the history of Vietnam)!

Rooms are clean and tidy. The bathroom equipment is new and good, with mirror lights. In particular, the night light under the bed is a quite interesting highlight.

Lam and My are a wonderful couple running their friendly family Homestay. If you want a typical western hotel this is not for you …. but for charm and care of their guests it cannot be beaten. My cooks the breakfast and the choice and quality is superb. Our room was open, clean, with comfortable beds and quality bedding. There is good strong wi-fi, air conditioning if needed and fridge. Lovely to sit out on the balcony and have a few beers. Nothing is too much trouble. We took up Lam’s offer to drive us to see some of the best parts of Hue - well thought out itineraries to fit our interests and level of fitness. We would like to thank Lam, My and their two boys for welcoming us into their family. Would not hesitate to recommend.

This hotel is beyond charming. So much attention to every little detail which all added up to the most wonderful hotel stay I've had in Vietnam. Before reaching Purple Hue, I'd been traveling from Saigon to Hanoi, further north and now back South. I've stayed at all different types of hotels, most of which I'm really happy about until I reach Purple Hue Charming Riverside Hotel, which to me is the best of what hospitality could mean. Upon booking, I thought, what a difficult name for a hotel? After a week's stay, I appreciate the truth in advertisement and there's no better way to describe it. It definitely charmed me and stole my heart in the process. First, the room is immaculately clean. Literally spotless. The furnishing is simple but so elegant. All features in the room work and are well positioned and designed. TV has lots of good English channels as well as VN, French, Korean and Russian channels. Laundry came back fast, cleaned and beautifully folded in the eco-friendly and beautiful bag provided. The room even came with 2 purple umbrellas, which was a life saver as I was there during the monsoon season. Bathroom comes with high quality toiletry, including this toothpaste that I considered stealing because it was so good. Bathroom also comes with a squidgy to clear water after shower as I do not like to step onto a wet floor. It even has a curtain to separate shower from the toilet, a feature most appreciated by me and I couldn't help but wonder why no other hotels do this?! Because they are NOT Purple Hue Charming Riverside Hotel. And the staff. This is where the hotel's magic is. I was always greeted by the most beautiful smiles and kindest of hearts. Always there to help, to share in my excitement from meandering around this gorgeous city, to give me tips to the best food (the first recommendation Uyen gave me ended up being my breakfast place everyday I was there), best places to go, etc. One night, there was a sound of an alarm of some type. I called Uyen, who was actually off duty. Before I could hang up the phone, the front desk staff is already at my door (I was on the 4th floor) to assure me that it was a false alarm. Within 45 more seconds, silence returned. This kind of service is simply amazing. And sitting on my balcony watching the sun rise over the city or set over the Perfume River, that's pure poetry that I do not have words to describe. Now that I am sitting on the beach in Hoi An, my heart and mind wander back to Purple Hue Charming Hotel. I HIGHLY recommend it. You'll have an experience that you will want to remember fondly for the rest of your life.

Room is good. It's outside the city. You need a transport. The staff not look like care you too much.
