The service provided here is up and beyond. I love that the whole set up gives not only space for people to mingle, also proper work space to have your alone time if you need it. A beautiful kitchen set up as well, I felt very safe and clean staying here. It was my first time using a kotatsu table too, a dream come true. I listened to some cd displayed for anyone to listen on a headphone. So much fun. The location is perfect too, super close to Aso Station, where we get to everywhere.

Last week, I stayed at Kurowakaso for one night~~! First of all, I really, really recommend it👍🏻 Go there a hundred, ten thousand, and a thousand and five hundred times!! The staff are very kind, and the hot spring facilities and room condition are the best! I was able to try on traditional Japanese clothes, and the food was especially the best! The food was really good, and they gave me so much food that I almost burst😂 I was lucky that my group and I were the only ones in the family bath and large bath, so I took pictures, but the hot spring for guests only is also amazing! It was a good memory~ A lot of Korean tourists are going to Kumamoto these days, so if you're thinking about visiting a hot spring, I recommend this place👻 (By the way, there's a staff member who speaks Korean really well♡)

Has a great stay and will be back. The hotel is conveniently situated on top of the shopping mall and next to train station. Parking is just in b1 and the hotel will give you discount when parking in b1 which cost only 1.000 yen for overnight parking. The room is nice and super comfy to stay. The staffs are all so attentive and friendly.

Very pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western). Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped. From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

I stayed at this hotel twice. The second time (this booking) we had a room on the older (?) wing and it was almost twice the size of the first one. So for this review I will only share feedback on this “older” room. This room was big and thus good for us as we had 2 large luggage and more space in the room allowed us to open and pack our luggages with ease. The bathroom was large with the large traditional bathtub. Toilet had bidet and etc but lacked heating which made it very cold in the winter. Basin tap was still the old turn types which was not eco friendly as it’s more difficult to shut it off. Location was just opposite the train station which was excellent. But the nearest convenience store is also only at the train station which is about a 5-7mins walk away. Breakfast was curated to suit the Japanese palette more and ends at 9a.m which is really way too early!! We left something behind in the hotel but they managed to send the item back to us at our new hotel (still in Japan) which was highly appreciated. Despite a few minor shortcomings listed above, the pros still outweigh the cons and I’ll definitely be happy to stay here again.
KAMENOI HOTEL ASO

I recently stayed at a wonderful hotel in Aso, and it was an unforgettable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—nestled in the heart of Aso’s beautiful nature, with breathtaking views right from the room. The hotel’s onsen was a highlight, offering a relaxing and peaceful way to soak in the scenery. The food was also incredible, with delicious local dishes that really captured the flavors of the region. The vibes throughout the hotel were warm and cozy, making it feel like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The only downside was that the bed was a bit small for two people, so it felt a little tight. But everything else more than made up for it. The hotel also offers plenty of parking, so getting around was easy. The price was definitely reasonable for the experience, and given the amazing views, great food, and tranquil onsen, it felt like a great value. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Aso!

This Spring Festival, I took my parents to live in this hotel in Kurokawa Onsen. I booked it at the last minute and found that there was a vacant room. I changed to this hotel at the last minute. It was not a wrong choice at all! The service really warmed my heart! Not only was the hotel's hot spring very comfortable! The room reservation included breakfast for three people, free evening drinks, and free pick-up and drop-off service at the station. In addition, before the trip, I contacted the customer service to book a buffet dinner of 400 per person, with fresh sashimi and beef Xiapu Xiapu, which was very suitable for parents! There is also an observatory on the top floor of the hotel, but the weather was too cold and I went too late to observe the stars. It is worth mentioning that! ! My mobile phone was left in the room when I checked out. When I contacted me, I had already arrived in Fukuoka, and even flew back to China from Nagasaki the next morning! The hotel was very considerate and efficient. It contacted the Kuroneko Express to help me deliver it to the hotel in Nagasaki immediately! It was still free! ! Very considerate and touching!

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

A first-class accommodation experience! Because the hotel is far away, the hotel arranges a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off at the station between 15:00 and 18:00. The journey takes 5-10 minutes, which is very convenient. Guests staying in the hotel in the afternoon will receive matcha and desserts. I appreciated the receptionist's very good attitude. Even if I didn't understand the language, the receptionist used a translation app to patiently answer my questions. She also carefully booked a taxi for me to go elsewhere, and made a reservation for dinner at a restaurant near the attraction that was still open at night. The hotel is very clean and tidy, allowing travelers to rest at ease. The facilities and equipment are very complete, including open-air baths with beautiful views, public indoor baths, and private baths with exquisite garden views. During your stay, you can completely relax and unwind. The breakfast the next day was exquisite, rich and delicious. Along with the prepared meals, there are small pots for diners to make their own omelettes for smoking. The meal is accompanied by delicious desserts, juice and coffee, which is a complete experience. When leaving, the hotel also arranges a shuttle bus to take you to the station to continue your journey. The clerk who appreciated the reception kindly walked to the car to see me off. It made me feel that I was well received and felt very warm. If given the chance, I will choose this hotel to stay again next time!
