We stayed one night in FUFU Nara on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto. We took a special train - Aoniyoshi from Kyoto to Nara and it was very enjoyable ride. We took a taxi from Kintetsu Nara station to the hotel. Hotel staff greeted us right away and kept the our luggage for us until the check-in time. It is located next to Ukimido and we were able to visit Todaiji and the giant Buddha before the check-in. Once we return, we had a nice cold welcome drink. Hotel staff were very professional and friendly. It was obvious that they take a great pride on performing their tasks. Our room was super clean and modern with some Japanese touches. And the hot tub on the balcony was amazing. We contemplated between FUFU and the new Shisui, but we were very glad that we chose FUFU. At FUFU, I believe all rooms are suites and come with the private open air onsen. We did read some reviews on the noise. We did not notice too much especially after dodging so many screaming school children at Todaiji. At night, we had teppan yaki dinner for our anniversary. It was pretty cool to dress in yukata with a hanten jacket. The sandals were comfortable, also. We walked through the bamboo garden to get to the restaurant. Our chef was friendly and food was delicious. With sake pairing, we had a great time. Breakfast was served at the same restaurant, and the walk was beautiful in the morning. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The lady who served us explained each dish very politely. It's hard to believe they are so helpful even without any tips. Staying at FUFU made our stay in Nara very special.

It is one of the hot spring hotels recommended by the official WeChat of the Japan National Tourism Administration and has a history of 500 years. Although it was already around 20 degrees in Osaka when we arrived, we were still lucky enough to catch the snow here and soak in the hot springs in the snow. I felt extremely happy. The room was comfortable and spacious. The tatami is very comfortable. Although the female staff doesn't know much English, she is very active in finding ways to communicate with guests. She is very friendly and dedicated. There is a large cherry blossom tree in the hotel courtyard that should be beautiful when it is in full bloom. The jazz lounge is so flavorful that you will not want to leave the hotel. Tianshan Village is very peaceful and a rare accommodation experience. This place was gorgeous. First thing first, I left the same day from Tokyo and managed to break my phone on my way there so I got lost and missed the last bus from the nearest town. I was able to call the Ryokan personnel and one of the employees (whose name I forgot) drove to there around 11pm and picked me up ♥ That in itself was incredibly sweet. The only (and when I say ''only''!!!) thing that was a bit...meh...Is that during my stay, the town was empty. Like, 3-4 people, I was so confused. But the town is incredibly beautiful, the hikes in the surrounding area are amazing, I could have spent hours laying on the ground in the temple area to listen to the sounds of water...The food included in my reservation was...to die for. Honestly, what I ate there (the dinner was my favorite) was the best food I ate in my life. The room I stayed in was so clean and stunning, the yukata was comfortable and the tea was delicious! The staff there was so friendly, I forgot their names but I would like to go back there next time I visit Japan for sure :) Next time though I will make sure to come back when there are more people :) So I can make more memories of this great place!

毎年 避暑に行かせてもらっています。気温は昼でも28℃程度で昼も夜も涼しくて快適です。子供は川遊び（ホテルの横がすぐ川で，浅くて安全に遊べます）で楽しみ大人は涼しい気温を楽しみました。食べ物はアマゴ料理がおいしく，アマゴのあらい・唐揚げ・塩焼きがおすすめです（夜ご飯の時に別途注文することが可能です）。涼しいおかげでよく眠れて日頃の疲れも取れました。宿の人は親切で川遊び・花火にいろいろと便宜を図ってくれました。おかげさまで今年も楽しい夏休みがすごせました。ありがとうございました。

Lake view from room is superb and hotel staff is fantastic. Room has no shower tub so guests must use the public onsen, which can be cleaner like all common area (maybe it is the age of the hotel showing). Outdoor onsen is lovely, but English information is lacking on how to access it, like all facilities here since the staff speaks no English and no English hotel manuals are provided. Hotel did not provide dinner service during my stay and there was only one Okonomiyaki restaurant nearly. Mosquitos galore in my room and I was bitten all over (probably due to the lakeside location); even the anti-mosquito solution provided by the hotel did not help. Even considering the higher room price, it is a treat to visit this amazingly beautiful, remote corner of Japan.

Since it is in the mountains, I was planning to enjoy only the hot springs, and there was Kumano Hongu Taisha on the way, so I went to visit. There was a large parking lot after passing through a tunnel from a narrow road, and Hotel Subaru was among various facilities. Like a village revitalization resort? It's a feeling. I checked in at the small front desk and entered the room. The room feels old, but it was well-cleaned and I was taken care of in a Japanese-style room, but the bedding was also clean. I was worried about the smallness of the pillow, but I slept well. The hot spring of the facility with a day trip bath was very comfortable with the open-air bath flowing directly from the source. My wife is a women's bath and the aunts in the neighborhood? It seems that he was cleaning the bathroom naked with a brush while talking. It seems that I didn't feel like it was a smile. Kinpusen-ji Temple is a temple that is good at making money and has the atmosphere of a new religion. According to research in psychical science, there are no Buddhas or spirits, so it is foolish to believe in Buddhism. The food at the inn makes good use of ingredients from Nara Prefecture. However, it seems that the sweetness has won out a little too much. If you stay there for about 10 days during the cherry blossom season, like the literary greats of the past, it might be interesting from a historical and religious perspective. I also need money.
