This was our second visit although the first was a few years ago. we had forgotten how lovely it is. Hotel was really busy because they had 2 weddings and it was Bank holiday weekend . Despite all that, the staff were very friendly, pleasant and efficient. Obviously used to keeping cool calm and collected. Well done evereyone

Stayed here for one night this weekend. Had such a lovely and memorable stay. My sister advised the hotel that it was my birthday and they really added the personal touch to make me feel special. Special thanks goes to Erin in the spa who was so lovely and welcoming, he is a real asset to your hotel. Our room was lovely overlooking the gardens. Great location to explore Cheltenham as only a short taxi ride away. We had a spa treatment and used the pool area which were all nice. All staff we spoke we were friendly and welcoming. The cookie on arrival is also a nice touch. I would definitely return to this hotel 😊

The staff on the night Dean and Dee were amazing very cooperative and friendly. I received all the help and support that I needed. Georgia the event manager was very helpful also provided me with all the information that I needed and got everything sorted for our event making it less stressful for me.The venue itself is extremely well kept very tidy and you get a lot of space for a very reasonable price. I am very happy about my experience at the robinswood hotel and would definitely recommend:)

This is a functional little hotel that is close to the train station. Don't expect luxury, but you can expect friendly and warm service, and a spacious room. The reason I booked this hotel was due to the rail strikes. I was on a business trip and meant to be taking the train to London that evening but wasn't able to. Furthermore, it was the Cheltenham races and all the other places had already been booked out. This room was a lifesaver for me. I was exhausted from an intense itinerary and needed a place to sleep and freshen up. I was pointed to the supermarket close by. As there were all the cutlery and even a microwave in the room, I had no issues rustling up a hot meal for myself. I am giving this hotel a high rating because the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I just want to make it very clear that guests need to understand this is not a fancy establishment designed for holidaying, but if you are travelling for work purposes, this will come close to being home away from home.

We booked a hotel for one night. The initial price seemed quite good, but it was quite annoying to find out that there was a lack of transparency. They didn’t mention that the car park had an extra charge of £7. Additionally, on Trip.com, breakfast was available for an extra £14, and it was stated that kids under four years old eat for free. When the receptionist asked if we wanted breakfast, we said we would decide in the morning, and she didn’t mention anything further. However, we found out in the morning that breakfast cost £16. Had we decided the night before, it would have been £13, but they also asked for an additional £5 for the kids. Furthermore, the receptionist wasn’t very friendly. Also swimming pool was closed.

On 15th September, I had a fabulous one night stay at this very modern hotel. Impressed by the design of the room and hotel and friendly, helpful staff. I was impressed by the Deputy manager Alina, Callum and Ester who put a lot of effort to help me connect my mobile to the wifi. Despite several attempts, my mobile couldnt connect but was still thankful to the staff for persisting and enjoyed my chat with them. Got great advice from Alina on managing staff :) Thanks to the General manager Ashan (apologies if i got your name wrong) as well for allowing us to check in earlier as i wasn' t feeling well. I enjoyed the breakfast and the range of food options on offer. I would recommend this hotel as its also close to shops and amenities. Take care Nards x

Hotel is modern and clean. Rooms very spacious and comfortable quality bedding. Large bed. Shower and bathroom clean and modern. Nice touch with bottle water and hospitality tray. Breakfast was TERRIBLE. Food run out, waiting lengthy time for restock, tables dirty, poor selection of tea, milk (non dairy) and breads. Continental platter was ham and cheese- embarrassing! No eggs for 20 mins. Plates burning hot, sausages. Really cheap and didn’t even taste like sausage! Worst breakfast ever eaten in a hotel. Shame as the rest of hotel was good in every way.

It was really far from where I was going to which I did know until I got there. Generally, Days Inn is a nice hotel to be in, their rooms are unexpectedly spacious and comfortable.

We had 2 rooms booked for one night. We were so tired after a long day, but the check in was quick. The girls at the reception even found us a phone charger! The rooms were very spacious and had tea/coffee making facilities. Only thing I would say is that in one room the light wasn't enough. Basic breakfast but sufficient to keep us going til lunch. When the breakfast area is full they use the meeting room. Plenty of parking space too.

We stayed for 2 nights in the cambray suite. It was brilliant. Complimentary soft drinks and water in fridge. Lovely outlook to the promenade. Only slight downside was no bedside drawers. Not a game changer. On chec²kin and check out receptionist were absolutely lovely a real assest. Had breakfast and dinner food excellent quality again staff brilliant...but then all hotel staff are great real assest. Hotel itself well maintained best hotel we have stayed in, and we have stayed in some nice hotels including the Ritz in london. Definitely 5 stars dont change a thing

This town was outside our plan and gave us an unexpected surprise. It is a beautiful town, don’t miss it. The hotel room is not big, and there is free parking in the yard behind the hotel. The bathroom is a bit short. My husband is 189cm tall and has to lower his head and cannot stand up straight. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. Fortunately, we didn't have to carry too many things up the stairs when we drove. The soundproofing is not very good, you can hear the conversation next door. The breakfast was great and the restaurant manager was very welcoming! Will go here next time.

This was an excellent hotel. Service was great. From James in reception who welcomed us with professionalism and warmth & tips to visit, to the restaurant staff who were helpful and responsive. The chef was great - food was tasty and to a great standard. The housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating as well. We had an awesome and restful stay. Our dog enjoyed the bed and treats as well as walks in the beautiful grounds. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. We will make tgis hotel an regular on our list.

The biggest room we ever stayed in. It's a size of a studio apartment. One queen size bed and one double bunkers bed. The toilet is also huge for a hotel room. There's a flat TV set a sofa set. The room is also equipped with a small kitchen, sinky and a small fridge. Plates, glasses and cutlery are provided inside the cabinet. Check in and check out were smooth and easy. Friendly staff. Location is good. There's a nice Indian restaurant within walking distance, the briyani is to die for. Some of the downsides are: 1/ basement parking space is too tight for a normal size car. Big cars would have difficulty to park or even manoeuvre in basement parking area. We're allowed to park at the open back alley, reserved for the hotel customers. 2/ The queen size bed is squeaky. Perhaps the hotel could consider replacing it with a more solid bed frame. 3/ You have to climb up some stairs to check-in at the register counter. If you have lots of heavy luggage, it's going to be challenging to bring your bags up. Overall, love this hotel. Would stay again anytime.

The room is not big, the layout is very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious, and it is not far from the center of town. The only problem is the location. According to the positioning and navigation provided by Ctrip, the hotel cannot be found. Instead, it is a building under construction on the roadside. It is dark at night. I can only find the correct address by asking the surrounding residents. It is about a few hundred years away. meters, this needs to be corrected in time to avoid misleading again.

We booked 4 rooms for a family celebration at this hotel. The place looks great from the outside and the Japanese bar is also nice. The issue is that the rooms are just not good enough. We had one good one out of 4. Our other rooms were in attics with the bathrooms upstairs and a tiny bedroom space. In fact the room was so small that we couldn’t open an ironing board to press our clothes and there was nowhere to put the cases out of the way. When we asked for an alternative room, we were TOLD in no uncertain terms that it was not possible. Our room was too hot and we had to open the window at night but then couldn’t sleep as the outdoor bar was below with loud music. We just could not recommend it for a comfortable stay. A couple of nice touches, like robe and slippers but the room quality was frankly poor. Breakfast was interesting and nice but was not included in our tariff. It feels like every inch of the indoor and outdoor space has been monetised and very little thought given to customer service or comfort.

The room is not big, but the service staff is very friendly. The lights are very warm and the bed is very comfortable. It is close to CLC school and just opposite. It is a good place to stay with your children. It is also very close to the store square. It is 20 minutes walk from the cheltenham SPA. Minutes to the hotel.

Went for afternoon tea with my sister to celebrate her birthday Had a table on the terrace with a lovely view The tea was really good Sandwiches lovely and fresh with a good selection and very nice selection of cakes too Would definitely go again we had a very enjoyable afternoon Used a buy a gift voucher which was also no trouble for the staff who were very friendly and helpful No complaints at all

This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life 50 years of staying in hotels and nothing prepared me for a experience like this PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL Was shown to my room and TV was broken ,So I asked to be moved It was late at night, so I got settled popped the tv on and started to fall asleep Was woken up by a buzzing sound , turned the lights on and never seen anything like it in my life 100s of flies all over the room Dead , half dead and flying around I went down stairs to complain and say i will be leaving and would like a refund I was told aggressively by the staff that maybe I left food out , and sometimes flies going that room They offered me some fly spray I asked for a refund and they said no refunds you booked the room I would not leave with out my money back and they rang the police saying I would not leave Police arrived seen the room and told me to report them to environmental health and was so sympathetic towards me Staff frightened me and I have never felt so scared in my life and upset Never got a refund they point blank refused and said it’s only a few flies But there was over 100 As I packed in a hurry I left my perfume there , I went back asked for my £100 perfume back and they had stolen it and said it’s not in the room I have sent the photos to environmental health , And they will be taking it further Awful staff , WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN

We'd initially booked the Quays Room - positioned as ”executive plus” on the website. Making the usual allowances for the building being old, this was a horrible room. The carpet looked like it needed a deep, deep clean; the ceiling had massive cracks, but the real kicker was the windows. The website for the hotel says: ”Located on the first floor of the manor house, this room offers views of the roof top terrace.” Does it, though? Or does one window look out onto a small area surrounded by walls on all four sides? Kind of an accidental void caused by the layout, rather than the sort of thing you'd expect from a ”roof terrace”. As a side note, you could gain access to this - ahem - terrace via an unlocked door in the corridor, which means that literally anyone could, should they choose, pitch up outside your bedroom window. Hold on, though - it's a dual aspect room. The second window looks out on a scene so grim they've permanently boarded it up with wooden slats, which you can fiddle with and squint through to see some more roofs. Absolutely understand that not every room can look out onto the Gloucestershire coutryside, but if you're booking a room pitched as being not merely executive, but executive plus, and priced accordingly, you don't expect to wind up in a space that would have been considered a bit much for the First Mrs Rochester. We elected to change rooms - paying a whack extra for a room above the spa. Like the Quays, this also wasn't worth the price being asked, but we rationalised that the additional £40 a night was a surcharge in order to not be spending time in the miserable Executive Plus level. The spa side of the hotel is better - it felt a lot cleaner, the rooms are currently being renovated and upgraded (ominous that a management response here says they're only overhauling 20 of their bedrooms, as this implies the Tumbledown Manor side are going to be left untouched.) The walk-in shower is brilliant, but feel sorry for the cleaning staff as the floor hasn't been laid properly so it doesn't quite drain properly and must be a faff to clean. The rooms further up the corridor appear to have actual, proper balconies - ours didn't, as the pool was beneath us and for some reason they'd decided we weren't allowed to get onto the terrace outside our room. We had a bit of a view across the garden to the trees, although much of it was of the green roof of the pool. You can't control the temperature of the room at all - the first night it was way too hot, but there wasn't even an off switch for the heated towel rail. We opened the windows and just about made the room bearable. The common areas of the hotel had radiators blasting out at high levels - maybe something was broken as a lot of doors were propped open the next, more bearable, day (including external doors, which was cooling but interesting from a security perspective.) The location is very good, in the city centre. The hotel is very new and very design. The room is very spacious. The hotel should have been transformed from a historic building. If you park your car, the parking lot at the entrance of the hotel will stop at 6pm-8am, but you can only park for two hours at other times. I will arrive after six o'clock, go directly to the meter to pay, you can stop until 10 o'clock the next day. If it is going to take longer, the hotel will recommend stopping to a public parking lot a little further away.

The hotel is generally very good. The staff are all very helpful and the food is of good quality. The issue we had was that two hours after our arrival at the hotel, my husband decided to take a shower. Due to the hotel not providing any nonslip mat either in the shower or on the floor, and the fact that the shower tray did not have a lip meant that the water came out onto the floor which made it very slippery indeed. This had obviously happened previously as the bottom of the fire escape door in the bathroom was clearly rotted at the bottom through water ingress. The only item the hotel had provided was a small towelling Mat which he put on the floor and obviously it was no use against the very slippery water covered floor and he fell awkwardly, causing extensive swelling, pain and bruising to his elbow and arm. I contacted reception to have this put into the accident book and ask for a first idea and We were given ice to put on the elbow to ease the swelling. We were also offered a different room but were told it would not be a feature room, which we refused as we had paid for a feature room. My husband is disabled in any event and during our short break away he was unable to sleep much at night due to the pain in his arm, which worsened when we arrived home. The night this happened, he didn’t feel like eating in the restaurant so we asked if we could order from the bar. The hotel bought bar food to our room and I was a little surprised to see they had still added a service charge onto the bill for that evenings 2 sandwiches and coffee. We stayed for a further three days, as planned but did not use the shower again during our stay.

The room is bigger, the facilities are complete, the surrounding environment is invincible, except for the price, there are almost no disadvantages, maybe this is the sufficient reason for the peak season price! Haha, the hardware conditions and software services are good, but the credit card deposit is a bit special. The room fee has been paid in full, and the credit card deposit is also required. This is the only time this happened during this trip to the UK.

I can't fault the hotel itself is gorgeous, perfect location and food for both breakfast and evening was incredible. The aesthetic is everything you would want in a Cotswolds escape with scenic walks surrounding the area and incredibly lovely staff. The food was some of the best food I have had for a while! The however - we were pre warned a couple of weeks before our arrival about an event taking place. I rang to ask how the noise would be, and would the bar or hotel spaces be affected to which we were told we wouldn't hear anything and no they would not, which was not the case. Until 11pm it felt like a nightclub, we had come for a quiet escape but instead had wedding music and singing and shouting, also using all of the bar area. Felt quite disappointed about this, mainly because we just wanted a quiet weekend in what would have seemed like a cosy and quiet place but instead it was chaotic and loud. We would have happily rebooked and enjoyed another weekend which wouldn't have felt as overstimulating. We did ask at the time to which we were just apologised to and it would go off at 11pm. There is always this risk when booking a hotel which has a venue, but equally if we were told when we rang this was going to be the case we would have simply rebooked.

The staff greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The room was well laid out and very clean. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Margaret made us feel right at home. The service in the bar was attentive and efficient. The barman was friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast gave us a great start to the day. There was plenty of choice and the service was quick and friendly. Parking on site was secure and there were plenty of spaces. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed in a signature room, when I opened the door the room was so small that the door would only open half way as it was so close to the bed. You need to be slim to get in these rooms, and don't take a suit case or you will only be able to get it into the room turning it sideways. The rooms are fine nice decor but very dark due to the scaffold outside the window. The Hotel phoned me a week before arrival to say the courtyard was closed due to works going on but never mentioned the scaffold. Whilst we were at breakfast the workers on the scaffolds managed to open two of our windows and decided to sweep dust and rubbish around on the scaffold which started to come into the room. We also had to put up with disgusting foul language from the workers. We told the lady when we booked out, she said 'Oh deer, hope your next visit will be better` never again. These people are amateurs and should have never let those rooms with the noisy works going on. However Breakfast is good.

Stayed 2 nights. Self checkin owners send your room number and garden gate key code on day of arrival. Parking in grounds and just outside the property on a grass verge. Breakfast was so lovely, fresh fruit, freshly cooked croissants, tea coffee and fruit juice. Husband had the cooked breakfast, bacon and sausages good quality. I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, eggs cooked perfectly and a nice amount of salmon. Stayed in many b&b and this breakfast was definitely the nicest we’ve had. The bed was very comfortable and room and bathroom small but very clean. The only criticism I have is the room we had was an attic room with sloping ceiling, there was a large low beam across the room my husband banged his head getting out one evening and had a small cut which was bleeding. We are both quite tall and had to stoop and slide into bed. I would stay again but not in this room it’s too small for a double bed
