Puteus Palace Brac

I was somewhat taken aback by your email. I will address your points below. 1. This room has two windows, one is in the bedroom and this one is on your picture, Second window is In living room and has a direct sea view, no wall view. - This is not a sea view. This is a view with a little bit of water in it. I ask you to visit rooms with true sea views and you will notice the difference. The people viewing reviews online can judge for themselves. 2. We are suprised by your claim about constant noise during the night because of cleaning activites and general foot traffic in the reception area. First because you didn't mentioned it during your stay and during check-out, and second reason is because we never clean during the night and only one receptionist is in the reception area in this time and there is no possibility of any traffic on the reception. - There are c. Four rooms next to reception. The halls echo. To us it sounded like cleaning. If it was not cleaning, then I advise your staff to be more quiet at night. 3. Puteus Palace is situated near the main church and as Croatia is catholic country so the local habit is that church bell are ringing every hour from 6 am – 11 pm to present time of the day and on Sudays they ring longer to celebrate mass. As you came on Sunday evening to the reception and claimed about bell ringing it was explained it to you that on Sunday the bells ring a bit longer during the day. - it was explained after check out. I advise you inform guests prior to check in. 4. As you came on Sunday evening to the reception and claimed about bell ringing it was explained it to you that on Sunday the bells ring a bit longer during the day. Our receptionist offered you ear plugs which you refused and you decided to check out on this evening. - I use these words cautiously - whoever informed you of this has lied to you. We were not offered ear plugs. In any case ear plugs would have made no difference. I advise you make this clearer on your website. 5. Our receptionist offered you twice assistance with the luggage wich you refused as well. - I would not have provided this feedback if it was not true. It appears that you are calling me a liar which I take great offence to. No assistance was offered. I am appalled that this is your reply. I would have been fine to carry my luggage but you let my girlfriend carry her luggage alone without assistance. I do not expect any compensation for what was a hugely disappointing stay. Your email has magnified what are glaring inadequacies in your offering. Thank you for taking the time to reply but I find your reply totally inadequate and inaccurate.
Makarun Heritage Rooms

This is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality. My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable: * Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector. This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant * In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient. Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

Located in the old town, it is ideal for sightseeing. The owner was also kind and I was able to check in safely even though it was late at night. However, the room was small, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure if all hotels in the old town in Croatia are the same, but you cannot store your luggage after check-out, so you have to stop by the luggage storage center, which costs extra.

The room does not have a sea view. This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances. The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem. The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff. It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town. The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue. I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside. If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily. The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it. The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily. The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use. Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.

The Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere. However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.) I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location. I'd give this hotel
Aminess Senses Resort

This was our third visit to The Labranda Senses Resort Hvar. We love this resort for its location,The facilities and most of all the friendly staff. The hotel offers an all inclusive board basis, which on each occasion we have enjoyed. The food at the resteraunt was excellent,a varied choice at every sitting. The rooms are comfortable ,clean and very quiet. They have all watersports available, bikes for hire and scuba diving for those keen to explore the crystal clear water. The hotel is a short walk into Vrboska town ,which has some lovely resteraunts and bars dotted along the seafront. Buses run from Vrboska via Starigrad to Hvar town ,which has its famous port and some great sights to see. They have dedicated staff in the reception to organise boat tours ,wine tours ,car hire .They are very knowledgeable and will point you in the right direction. All in all,it's a great place to stay, and we will certainly be returning next year to enjoy everything the Labranda has to offer.
PRIMA Life Spalato

The hotel is basically located on the 3rd floor of a semi functional mall. The location is great and at walking distance from all major attractions on the beach line of Split. Eateries, bakeries, places to shop are all at walking distance. The location is also a short walk from the major bus station where you can get buses for the airport. The triple room was huge and we'll maintained. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience. The variety and quality of the vanity in the bathroom needs to be improved in my suggestion.
Hotel Vestibul Palace

Good location in the palace area, but it could be very confused because the hotel has different annex which is couple minutes walk apart. And it could be difficult to find the location of the annex, for the one I stay in named Villa Donbric couldn’t be find in Google map. Besides, since we have couple of large luggages, we look for hotel with elevator but the annex I stayed didn’t facilitated one. (I am not sure the other annex has one or not) The room is smaller than I expected, it’s a bit messy when we open up two luggage together. Other than that, it’s a cozy place to stay with helpful staff. The breakfast is served and good, with different options of eggs. I suggest extra attention is better when booking the hotel about the location and concern with luggages. Or I will suggest booking their optional pick up service.
Bajamonti 5 Luxury Rooms

Excellent location right in the centre of great restaurants and the tourism hotspots. The room and bathtub are great. Good wifi and television box for plenty of viewing options. Rooftop garden/outdoor area is amazing at sunset (see attached photos). A couple of things to prepare yourself for which are out of the control of the hotel owners: there are 90 steps to the floor where the rooms are so would not recommend if you are physically challenged, and the restaurants in the square do have music till quite late which is audible in the rooms so light sleepers may like to try ear plugs. Sound did not bother us and the walk up the stairs was good for our health! The whole of the city has bell ringing at various times during the day (7am, Midday, 8pm) No need to set an alarm to wake up in the morning!
