No frills hotel located just opposite Hiroshima Station with a Lawson conveniently located on the ground floor. Room was really small so avoid bringing more than 1 luggage if possible. Found some rubbish likely left behind by the previous guest and the washing machines in the laundry room had lots of lint in the rim which got on to some of my clothes and post washing my clothes had an odor too. However, props to the hotel for having a smart system to allow different cashless payment modes for the washing machines, clear instructions and a PIN for you to prevent clothes theft.

About 10 mins walk from Hiroshima station. I stayed in the twin room and it’s possible to open 2 big luggages with some creativity. The pictures of the big onsen are from the male onsen. The female onsen is much smaller and with only 2 wash stations… and the wash stations have no partitions. Just gotta time your baths well. The hotel does not offer Yamato so you gotta take a trek to a convenience store or the actual Yamato store which is about 10 mins away on foot. One of the staff’s attitude was pretty harsh and put her hand out to stop us when we tried to take some amenities form the amenities bar upon check in. Perhaps a simple polite explanation (or maybe just let your guests have extra amenities?) would suffice. There are pretty nice izakayas a short walk away and a laundromat just across the street. Okay for a short stay if you value a laundromat nearby.

Oddly, the hotel is ‘upside down’ - the lobby is on the top floor, and after using the machines to check in, we went down in the lift to get to our room. Nice room, a good size; the only of the four hotels that we stayed in where we could walk on both sides of the bed! Even had a sofa that we could relax on. A comfortable bed. A very relaxing room for our stay. There was a very nice laundry room with three washing machines, an ice machine, two microwave ovens and a couple of drinks dispensers. Even though there are lots of tourists, we could find no English language programmes on the television. Very convenient for the railway station, but it was about a 30 minute walk to the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park. However, being more remote, it was a quiet area. The breakfast was acceptable, not extensive, but sufficient. We did the check-out on the television in the room, left the door keys in the room, and left the hotel. Very efficient, a great system. We enjoyed our stay, and recommend this hotel.

Basic and simple room but clean and functional. Furniture is a bit dated but the room is pretty big for Japan. Location is great as it very centrally located. Would stay here again.

Very affordable hotel that boasts clean and quiet rooms. The rooms were abit small but we knew that beforehand. As with many Japanese hotels, the amenities were top notch with great design thinking. We tried to use the laundry but it always full - there’s a waiting list and no reservation allowed. We went to a coin & wash shop 5 mins away for about the same price. Location wise it’s a 5min walk to the Main Street of streetcars so pretty convenient. 10mins walk to Hondori too.

I really liked my stay at the Hilton Hiroshima. The hotel is brand new with top amenities, like the gym and swimming pool which are great. My room was also very spacious, confortable and clean, with a very nice view. Overall, this was a great stay at this hotel. Just one improvement area would be the dinner buffet, which I found was not as good as the rest (mostly frozen or processed food, lack of variety and healthy options available).

The best hotel we stayed in whilst in Japan. Fantastic location very close to the Peace Memorial Park. Big comfortable room with city view. Don’t miss the excellent rooftop bar. Starbucks across the road for breakfast if you are so inclined. Very reasonably priced as well.

Garden Hotel is cozy and clean. The front desk staff Miss Akagi helped us a lot. We needed to make a phone call reservation and asked for her help. It was late and we agreed to come back the next morning. When we were at the front desk the next morning, she had surprisingly prepared all we need and guided us what to do next. I was impressed by her professionalism and her spirit of service. Nice stay. Ah yes, the breakfast was wonderful too!

I really enjoying staying in Nest hotel, feel like home. Hotel serve simple muffin, breads and coffee. Best part the room size is big compared with japan hotel. It serve us the best accomodation and give a sweet memories. I will come again!

The little welcome snacks and drinks were very welcome after tiring travel. The room was very clean and well furnished and the staff were very kind helping us when we were locked out by accident. Location was pretty good close to the main road and buses to most parts of the city.

Parking is right next to the hotel and it is indoors, so there is no need to worry about rain or snow. Extra points. Front desk staff was friendly. Can communicate in English. The room is larger than the same type of rooms in ordinary hotels. Very comfortable. The room has an air purifier with humidification function. good. All facilities are complete. You can see Fukuyama Castle and JR Station from the window. Although it is next to the station, it is not noisy at all The toothbrushes come in a variety of colors, so you don’t have to worry about mix-ups, which is a plus. The downside is that the toilet is very noisy when flushing and it takes a long time.

Not so good the second night because we repaired a leak under the bathtub, not very pleasant to do yourself. Dismantle the plastic panel and large flow of water not very clean... Everything was perfect, in particular the front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, helping me to book a massage and also recommending and reserving a good sashimi restaurant at short notice.
