The Triple Room was too small to accommodate 3 adults. Insufficient space to place 2 big luggages in the room and even harder to open the luggage. The receptionists were not so friendly however the amenities are more than enough with self-service at the Lobby. All kind of FOC hot and cold drinks are available at the common space canteen too. Location-wise is good as all the restaurants and Pharmacies are just walking distance away.

A fantastic location and excellent service. The hotel is very modern and clean. Rooms are surprisingly more spacious than expected. The decour is modern and inviting. Self service luggage storage is very convenient. The location is a short walk to all the main attractions.

Has a great stay and will be back. The hotel is conveniently situated on top of the shopping mall and next to train station. Parking is just in b1 and the hotel will give you discount when parking in b1 which cost only 1.000 yen for overnight parking. The room is nice and super comfy to stay. The staffs are all so attentive and friendly.

This hotel is amazing! I stay with my family and the place is just spotless. Loved the large bathroom two sinks available! Dont get me started with the outdoor onsen and that was fantastic after a long day of driving. Breakfast is great and the place is within walking distance to the shopping centers, we end up having dinner at the Kumamoto Food stall. Cosy place, nice beds, Netflix and YouTube available on the TV, coffee and tea and free amenities for guest to enjoy.

Good location with shopping arcade right next to it! Lots of good shops like Mister Donut, Gindaco. Walking distance to most attractions like Kumamoto Castle and famous ramen. Great variety of self-pick up amenities (toothbrush, cleanser, body sponge, comb, tea, coffee etc.) and special request amenities like hair curler, latex pillow, power bank, shoe dryer and many more! Easy digital self-check-in with staff assistance. Good breakfast variety and clean environment. Luggage storage with front desk is also easy! Parking guidance brochure available. Free cheese grain snack upon check-in. Highly recommend for anyone to stay here!

Hotel is 5 tram stops away from Kumamoto station, red line. Shopping street is conveniently located, just a few minutes walk away, with many stores and eateries..There was a big Christmas market just in front of the shopping street. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and have all amenities needed. They have coin operated washer cum dryer on 3rd floor, 600 yen. Nice hotel for a short stay.

I recently stayed at a wonderful hotel in Aso, and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel’s onsen was a highlight, offering a relaxing and peaceful way to soak in the scenery. The food was also incredible, with delicious local dishes that really captured the flavors of the region. The vibes throughout the hotel were warm and cozy, making it feel like a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The only downside was that the bed was a bit small for two people, so it felt a little tight. But everything else more than made up for it. The hotel also offers plenty of parking, so getting around was easy. The price was definitely reasonable for the experience, and given the amazing views, great food, and tranquil onsen, it felt like a great value. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Aso!

Perfect location. Next to the bus terminal. Close to the business district so have good access to food and shipping. But parking fee is a bit expensive. It was said to be 1000 Yen but I was charged 1100 and 1400 Yen respectively.

Great location, close to main bus terminal snd shopping district.  Friendly staffs and was anle to offer luggage storage pre/post check in/out.  Onsite hot springs was so nice and relaxing, with complimentary yogurt drinks and ice cream after the bath.  Room was clean and quite spacious.  Definitely will stay again

The hotel is quite large, with three public hot springs, recreational facilities, and breakfast and dinner buffets with local characteristics and good quality. The room is Japanese tatami, which is quite spacious for a family. It is about 10 minutes' walk from Aso Station, and it is very convenient to take the bus to Mount Aso.

The hotel is situated next to a train station and has ample parking lots. Building and rooms were new and clean. Service was alright, nothing particularly outstanding but you can expect the usual Japanese courtesies. Facilities wise is basic, with no gym or pool. Its pantry/dining area is however well stocked and is a comfortable and stylish place to chill out at!

It is located near the golf course hotel halfway up Aso Volcano. It has a beautiful environment and you can see the stars in the sky at night. The dinner buffet style includes delicious long-legged crab legs, as well as all-you-can-drink hot and cold sake. It takes just over 20 minutes to drive to the Aso Volcano Museum.

The hotel is old, so it's not new, but it's clean. The bath water is really good in Kumamoto. The food was also very delicious. For smokers, the lights in the smoking room are turned off at around 12 o'clock, so you have to smoke in the dark. My partner said that it would be better if the lights were on here. I don't smoke, so it didn't bother me. The view was nice.

The service provided here is up and beyond. I love that the whole set up gives not only space for people to mingle, also proper work space to have your alone time if you need it. A beautiful kitchen set up as well, I felt very safe and clean staying here. It was my first time using a kotatsu table too, a dream come true. I listened to some cd displayed for anyone to listen on a headphone. So much fun. The location is perfect too, super close to Aso Station, where we get to everywhere.

One of the best onsen hotels we have ever stayed at. The room was spacious, featuring three basins and two restrooms—plenty of space for three adults. The hotel is surrounded by trees and flowers, creating a beautiful and peaceful environment. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with many options to choose from. We were so happy with our stay at this hotel!

The hotel is located near Aso Volcano, which is very good for self-tourists. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very good. There is an all-you-can-drink buffet barbecue for dinner. There are many kinds of food. The A4 Wagyu beef is very delicious and worth a try.

Like the onsen in the hotel; onsen water is good and big enough for 6-7 person to use. Japanese breakfast served by staff was quite substantial and tasty. The room that we stayed is quiet and faces mountain and park. Bathroom a little small but clean. There wasn’t any wardrobe but there were hooks on the wall and hangers were provided.

The waiters are very friendly and the environment is quiet. There are four independent private baths, three indoor and one outdoor. The food is rich. The surrounding environment of Aso City is relatively rural, far away from the hustle and bustle, and it is a good place to take a vacation.

The hotel is located at the centre of 黑川溫泉區, which is quite rural so highly recommended to go by car. The service is excellent! The staff helped us to park the car and take the luggages up the stairs to our Japanese style family room. We have ordered full board package and both meals are gorgeous. There are many onsens in the hotel which are non-reserved and private, allowing family to enjoy onsen together. One drawback is that there are many stairs so elderly might have to take it into consideration.

Very pleasant impressions from staying in this place. Spacious and clean rooms in a traditional style with a view of the river. Very tasty dinner and breakfast (you can choose Western). Family baths are not very big, it is comfortable for two people, if there are three or four of you - it will be cramped. From the ryokan we were driven by car to the bus stop, which was very convenient considering our heavy suitcases.

The location is very good, it is very convenient to go to Aso Volcano in the morning! There are plenty of parking spaces, which is very good for self-driving tours. The rooms are relatively Japanese-style and old, but clean! The room is very spacious and there is also a hot spring to soak in! There are both outdoor and indoor facilities, so it’s very suitable to reserve time to soak in the hot springs.

We went on a family trip and stayed at Dream Dragon on the coldest day during the Spring Festival. I stayed here once more than 5 years ago and was very impressed. It is a pure Japanese style, and the dinner and breakfast are so rich that you can't help but lean on the wall. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and quiet, and the water quality of the hot spring is excellent, but remember to bring towels from the room, there are no towels in the hot spring. The snacks are delicious. The puffs and coffee shops in Kurokawa Town are very good. There are century-old shops everywhere. It is a quaint place.

Last week, I stayed at Kurowakaso for one night~~! First of all, I really, really recommend it👍🏻 Go there a hundred, ten thousand, and a thousand and five hundred times!! The staff are very kind, and the hot spring facilities and room condition are the best! I was able to try on traditional Japanese clothes, and the food was especially the best! The food was really good, and they gave me so much food that I almost burst😂 I was lucky that my group and I were the only ones in the family bath and large bath, so I took pictures, but the hot spring for guests only is also amazing! It was a good memory~ A lot of Korean tourists are going to Kumamoto these days, so if you're thinking about visiting a hot spring, I recommend this place👻 (By the way, there's a staff member who speaks Korean really well♡)

What a perfect service with nice and kind owners. The owner can pick you up at the bus stop for free if you want. The price of stay was cheap and reasonable and they provide you with Japanese traditional style meal with reasonable prices as well. I would recommend this Ryokan. I wish I could visit this again.

Lonely Paradise! This is not many hotels around that offer single rates. None of the reviews is for the single and double price difference. There is no shuttle service. The guests who come are basically self-driving, and take a taxi to the bus station for 1,100 yen. The perfect mix and match of Japanese style, the quality is hidden in the details, everything from faucets to bedding, and I want to move home. What makes people in Japan unbelievable is the abuse of disposable chopsticks, even the famous Michelin Sanxing Junoi. You can spend two meals without using heavy bamboo chopsticks, especially for dinner. The fine grip is perfect, and you have the urge to take away. You must order two meals. On this morning's hike, the one kilometer country road is only This hotel has nothing. By the way, Ctrip's name is wrong. It's Huaxin instead of Huaxin. The word of mind can go a long way. The quality of the food is high, the amount of refinement is small, and it is full. Comfortable, the room has private soup, but it's too hot. The public soup pond went to the three times for exclusive treatment. The well-cut branches and leaves contrasted with the outdoor hot soup pond. The area was just enough for one person to lie down and drunk. In the warm and slightly sulfuric spring water, slowly touching the exquisite pursuit of hot spring culture may be the same as kaiseki cuisine. This is a small hotel located on the mountain in the Kurokawa Hot Spring area. The environment is quiet and the creek next to the hotel is beautiful. It is convenient for self-driving tours. There are only 8 rooms in the entire hotel, including 6 cabin-style rooms and 2 rooms in the main building. - There are rooms with open-air hot springs and indoor hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with open-air hot spring baths: 3 rooms in total - Rooms with indoor hot spring baths: 2 rooms in total When we booked the room, because the rooms with open-air hot spring baths were fully booked, we could only book rooms with indoor hot spring baths. Although the hot springs did not have outdoor views, the hot spring pools were very large, and both of us could still soak in them. Large space; the hot spring water has a strong sulfur smell and is hot enough to feel comfortable. Since each room has a private bath, there are no other people in the public baths. The staff has a very good attitude and is very polite from reception, introducing room facilities and serving meals. Breakfast and dinner are served in a private room, and sukiyaki is also available for dinner. The wagyu beef is very tender and melts in your mouth. In addition to sukiyaki, the sashimi and horse sashimi are also very fresh and delicious, making you very filling. The exquisite presentation of the breakfast will whet your appetite. Before leaving, the receptionist offered to take photos for us at the main entrance of the hotel, great! However, if I come to Kurokawa Onsen in winter to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei (the famous local light festival), I will choose to stay in a hotel near the visitor center, because it takes 8 hours to drive out from Onyuku Nohana to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei. The driving time is 30 minutes. Driving on a narrow mountain road is often dangerous when opposing vehicles have to back up to give way to each other.

We chartered a car, and the Shanhe Japanese Hotel was generally good. I booked two four-person rooms (with indoor hot springs), one on the second floor next to the main building, and one on the first floor of a stand-alone building opposite the main building. The hotel food is not suitable for Chinese tastes (horse meat sashimi, etc.), but the hot spring is very elegant. I didn't get the six-foot barrel I wanted, but the soup in the room and the public open-air bath were pleasant.

Excellent service by the staffs! Very warm and welcoming. It was raining heavily that day, but one of the staff helped to wipe down our luggage when it wasn't necessary and helped to bring it up to the room as we were too early for check-in. When we came back, the luggages were near a heater for quick drying... just a neat detail that we very much appreciated. The dinner and breakfast were one of our most delicious and memorable meals in Japan. Words are not enough to describe it! The outdoor hot spring doesn't have much a view, but it was still nice! Hope I am able to come back and enjoy the ryokan experience again!
