The Hotel Royal Astrid in Aalst is centrally location in about 10 minutes walking distance from the main square where many restaurants can be found. We were warmly welcomed by an attentive and good humoured host. The rooms are sufficient in size, newly furbished, clean and comfortable. The room giving on the backside of the hotel was quiet. The breakfast buffet is well garnished with hot and cold breakfast items. Wifi was fast and reliable with good coverage. Nice bar area in the lobby. Possibility to park the car behind the hotel in a public parking lot where there is no charge from 07.00 PM to 09.00 AM, thereafter € 1.- / hour with a maximum of € 4.- / day. Hard to find any problematic points. Except that the ventilation in the bathroom was too weak.

We truly enjoyed our three days here. Clean and cozy and well appointed with a good breakfast. Owners are magnificent and always in good spirits no matter the challenges. I highly recommend. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms well appointed.

We verbleven een nachtje in het Royal Astrid Hotel in Aalst en ik kan met volle overtuiging zeggen dat het een fantastische ervaring was! Het hotel is gunstig gelegen in het hartje van Aalst, op loopafstand van winkels en restaurants. Zaterdag vindt de wekelijkse markt plaats op enkele tientallen meters gelegen van het hotel. Het hotel ligt in een bruisende omgeving met verschillende parkings op wandelafstand. De centrale ligging maakt het gemakkelijk om de stad te voet te verkennen. Ondanks het hotel gevestigd is in oud en karaktervol pand, ontbreekt toch geen enkel comfort. Vanaf het binnenkomen aan de receptie voelde je de ruimtes een bepaalde rust en vooral veel charme uitademen. Onze kamer (Filip genaamd) was een Deluxe Kamer met kingsize bed. Het bed was heerlijk zacht en ook de kussens lagen comfortabel. We hebben beiden echt goed geslapen tijdens ons verblijf. De kamer was ook proper en net, wat ik altijd op prijs stelde. De voorzieningen in de kamer waren alles wat we nodig hadden. Het hotel beschikt over een gezellige, intieme bar met voldoende keuze aan dranken. Daarbuiten beschikken ze over een groot terras waar het aangenaam vertoeven is bij mooi weer. Ook het ontbijtbuffet was zeer verzorgd met enkel maar verse, kwalitatieve producten. Was er iets op van het buffet, werd dit onmiddellijk aangevuld. Het viel me op dat het personeel erg aandachtig en uitzonderlijk vriendelijk was. Vanaf het inchecken tot het uitchecken voelde we ons echt welkom en verzorgd. Ze deden er alles aan om aan onze wensen te voldoen. Wendy en Saïd verdienen van ons een dikke pluim want zonder hen was ons verblijf niet hetzelfde geweest. Ze legden ons echt in de watten. Wij komen zeker terug! :-)

Capitati per caso in questo hotel che si è rivelato migliore delle aspettative! L’edificio era una residenza aristocratica, e la ristrutturazione ha cercato di mantenere le caratteristiche originali La camera non era grandissima, così pure il bagno, ma comunque di buone dimensioni Letti comodi, tea set, e il doccione più bello visto nell’intero viaggio! La colazione era veramente buona e abbastanza varia, servita in una sala al piano terra che a me è piaciuta molto Insomma buon rapporto qualità/prezzo ad Aalst…cittadina che però offre solo una bellissima piazza e poco altro
