Tried the Indian buffet for the first time. It was very good, but let down by vegetable alloo. It was just a bag of frozen veg! Some fresh veg would have been much nicer. Being a vegetarian I had nothing else to eat, apart from veg rice which had the same frozen veg! Fine if you are a meat eater, but if you are vegetarian you will be disappointed if that is their usual veg offering Jason is a wonderful barman, an asset to the company

Nice clean en-suite single room with everything I needed except a hairdryer but this was produced right away when I asked the host. Room was quite warm even though heating wasn’t on but as a fan was provided this worked wonders. Quite noisy traffic on busy road outside my room which did affect my sleep but couldn’t be helped. Nice friendly host. Definitely worth £45 a night. Decent breakfast if requested but I thought a bit pricey at £9.50

Sunday lunch was fantastic. Roast chicken, beef, and pork along with a full choice menu and very reasonable price. Staff are super friendly and polite. Highly recommended 👌 Atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, with background Scottish music added to the atmosphere.

We stayed in room 4, small but adequate and clean. The bathroom ok apart from broken toilet roll holder, shower door came off the rail at the top, attempted to have a shower but the water pressure was non existent and only one temperature, burning hot! Gave up on that and had to wait a good 5 minutes for tap water to get hot. There is no reception, you have to go to the bar which is also very dated and full of older men watching football. The staff were friendly enough. If you are looking for somewhere just to sleep would be ok but not a family hotel
