La Quinta by Wyndham Abu Dhabi Al Wahda

The hotel room was indeed spacious, typical of Wyndham standards, and about a 10-minute walk from Abu Dhabi Central Station, straight through the shopping mall. However, the hallway scent was very strong and seeped through the door crack, which I found quite unpleasant. Also, the lights in the room hallway were motion-sensored, which was a first for me and a bit startling at night. The late-night party noises that other guests mentioned were audible, but I'm a heavy sleeper so it didn't bother me. Light sleepers should probably reconsider.

The room decor felt a bit dated, but the service was quite good. The location is also decent. However, the exterior doesn't really give off a luxury hotel vibe. Maybe it's the layout of the hotel lobby. Also, the hotel restaurant's breakfast was quite simple. Anything beyond the two complimentary bottles of drinking water incurs a charge.

The hotel is located in the old town area of Abu Dhabi. The room was quite spacious. We arrived around 8 PM and checked in quickly. We were on the twelfth floor, which offered a nice view. It was my first time seeing toilet paper folded into such a cute bow 🎀, so I took a picture. I asked for an extra duvet, but they brought two blankets instead. You have to contact the front desk to get disposable slippers; they weren't in the room initially. Overall, it was clean. There's free parking, which was very convenient. The price was much cheaper than in Dubai, yet the conditions were better and the facilities newer. There are plenty of dining options nearby. Highly recommend!
