Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown

I stayed at the Mercure Downtown Abu Dhabi with a friend, and unfortunately, our experience was quite poor. The room itself was below standard — visible stains on the walls and a broken toilet seat gave a bad first impression. However, the main issue was the ongoing maintenance work right next door. Upon check-in on Friday around 4 PM, we were greeted by loud hammering that continued until 6 PM. To make things worse, light hammering resumed around 2 AM that night. I called the front desk, who insisted no maintenance was taking place — though I have video evidence proving otherwise. The noise stopped shortly after my call but resumed again at 9 AM on Saturday, even though reception said work shouldn’t begin before noon. This clearly shows a lack of coordination between the maintenance team and hotel management. To top it off, on Sunday evening around 6 PM, a maintenance worker knocked on our door wanting to replace our room safe, despite us checking out the next morning. This could have easily been handled after checkout. Throughout our stay, the reception team repeatedly apologised but offered no real solution — no room change, no complimentary service, nothing to make up for the disturbance. Overall, the hotel felt disorganised and poorly managed, making for a restless and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here until significant improvements are made in both facilities and communication

Comfortable place to relax every thing fine and good assist for staff parking also entrance for laguage and to get taxi.

I had a wonderful stay at this brand-new hotel. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable. A special thanks to Mahdi, the night shift manager, who went above and beyond to help me when I needed to move rooms due to noisy neighbors. He personally moved my luggage with great humility and professionalism, and only after the move was complete did I learn he was actually the manager. That level of service truly impressed me. All the staff were equally friendly and welcoming, making my stay an excellent experience. Highly recommended!

It was nice to stay in a new hotel, and you can tell it is new from the varnish smell on the wardrobe to the bed being firm / without human imprints. It is a lovely designed hotel, with a lot of effort going into the interior design. I would stay here again as I did for my weekend away, but there are only a few things that bothered me: 1. The service was almost too good, at breakfast you can't just do your own thing, from getting coffee to getting eggs to even getting juice, there was always somewhere there to ask you what you wanted and would bring it to your own table...I prefer to serve myself so it was a big uncomfortable. 2. Hot water takes about 3 mins to arrive in the show 3. The lifts are not connected, meaning you have 3 lifts and 3 calls buttons.....makes it very easy to waste your time and other peoples time. Outside of this would recommend if you need a good place to crash in the middle of Abu Dhabi.
