Mercure Abu Dhabi Downtown

Every night, the hotel plays music that shakes the entire building, making it impossible to sleep. They say you can complain and they'll lower the volume, but why are they even playing this kind of music at 1 or 2 in the morning?

The room had a nice local vibe and was quite spacious with a pleasant atmosphere. Going for a swim on the rooftop was also very relaxing. The only downside is that the hotel entrance is a bit hard to find; no taxi driver or delivery person ever seems to be able to locate it easily.

My recent stay at this Abu Dhabi hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room itself was very spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the toiletries were of high quality, showing great attention to detail. The hotel's location is convenient, making travel easy. Overall, this stay was very pleasant, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Abu Dhabi.

For its price, this hotel is really quite good. It's in the city center, has a pool, and the staff are friendly. However, if you're looking for a resort experience, the hotel's location can be a bit tricky to find because there's ongoing construction right in front, blocking the entrance, which makes it hard for taxis to locate. Plus, there's no shuttle bus, making travel to the airport and Yas Island very inconvenient. If you plan to visit Yas Island, I'd recommend taking a taxi to the first stop of the Yas Island shuttle bus's Downtown line, otherwise, it'll be full by the second stop. The cost of a round-trip taxi to Yas Island could easily pay for a stay at a much better hotel. Therefore, I suggest the hotel consider adding a shuttle bus service.

The hotel entrance was under construction, so taxis couldn't find it easily and we had to walk out to catch one. The room interior was well-decorated and the service was good. However, the water quality wasn't great; one evening the water ran yellow. I booked early, so the price was decent.
