Nice hacienda in the middle of the jungle. The rooms are not luxurious but clean and comfortable. The pool is nice. The food from the restaurant is not remarkable, they have very limited operation hours and aren't punctual. Bring some water or snacks with you, there are no stores nor more restaurants nearby. This place is a good option if you want to disconnect from everything and like to walk in the jungle in the trials behind the hotel or just sit to relax in the common areas. Wifi available but not in all areas.

Extraordinary place to stay near Merida, instragrammable pool and gardens. Located in the middle of the cenotes areas, just 35 minutes from Merida. All employees are extraordinary, always looking to provide an outstanding and memorable experience.

Admittedly the grounds are pretty and very well kept (the one nice guy we encountered was the groundskeeper), and the room was ok and clean, bed was super hard - but the service is nonexistent. When I “checked in” there was one guy (who we never saw again) who charged me FIFTY US DOLLARS extra for my dog. That is an insane cost I haven’t paid anywhere else in Mexico! Had I known that, I would NEVER have stayed at this weird place. There was no one to talk to if there were any issues, you needed a blanket, etc…no front desk, no phone in the room to call anyone. it just felt like an event hall that no one worked at. There’s one restaurant that opened two hours for dinner and the food was awful. There was a group dinner ant the restaurant and we were treated like dirt while they served them. Only afterward did we get some decent service. We were treated like second-class citizens to the people at the event. When the guy checked me in he told me breakfast was from 8-11 the next morning. We showed up at 8:05 and the lights were off. One of the people inside cleaning (just one of the same two waiters we saw the night before) said “five minutes.” We waited until 8:45 and it was still closed. We left with no breakfast even though we had PAID for it. There was no one to “check out” with. I just threw my key on a table in the lobby and left. I feel totally ripped off that I paid over $200 including the cost for my little dog to stay at this creepy place.

I would have loved to give Hacienda Yabucu a five star review, the food, rooms, and location were amazing and I had no problems with my stay. The visit however has been tarnished by an extremely frustrating billing issue. My booking confirmation for the room was set for $3,300 MXN ($180 USD) per night, booked with a wedding event planner who had confirmed the rates. I booked on January 3, 2023 for three nights. and was charged for $618 USD. Shortly after the wedding, (once again the location and everything about the hotel itself is amazing), I was charged for an additional $1,153.79 USD (March 5). Thus to date I have been charged $1,779.85 USD for three nights. The room booked was the "Deluxe Dos Camas". Following this mischarge, I have tried repeatedly to reach out to Hacienda Yabucu via phone and email with no response. It appears the issue is simple, and that the hotel has accidently charged me my total rate ($9,900 MXN) for each night of my stay. I would love to resolve this issue by discussion, but cannot simply reach anyone who can help.

What a magical place! It is like the most gorgeous college campus - you can wander around and discover many areas of the property. The staff was super helpful and the food was incredible. Oh, and the pool is divine!

This was the worst experience on my trip to the Yucatan. Took me 10 minutes to persuade the guard at the gate that I was to be a guest at the Hacienda. Once I went the the check in area, no one could communicate with me. There was no "front desk" but two people who could not communicate in English. When I asked to speak someone who spoke English, one of them brought me back a menu with some English on it. They tried to use a phone to communicate with me but they could not operate that correctly. I decided to walk out as I was very uncomfortable as this is a very isolated area, in a very rural area and without being able to have someone able to comunicate with me I felt completely unsafe. I drove and hour to Merida and found comfortable and more affordable lodging at the Courtyard Marriot. I went to get a refund and was only offered a 50% refund. Very unprofessional.

My parents and my uncles stayed at Yabucu, they had only shared how magical was their stay, from their attention at the Front desk, the restaurant’s and the staff in general. How this wonderful secluded paradise gets immersed in the jungle, the rooms are very pretty and confortable. Thank you for making my Dad’s Birthday memorable!!

My obsession with Haciendas is what brought me here, but the feel of this place is what will bring me back. The price was fair, the bed very comfortable. The entire vibe of this place is magic! Very tastefully restored while maintaining its historic character. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff has mastered the art of friendly and helpful yet respectful of private family time. The pictures online do not prepare you for its beauty in person. We opted for the room in the main house. Nice poster bed and right next to the pool which you might likely have to yourself. I did not meet the owners but the staff told me that it is owned by a family from the Yucatan which made me happy to support a family business and not a faceless corporation. Highly recommend!
