The Dock Hostel by the Nile River, you can feel the flow of the Nile River while lying on the bed. There is a restaurant upstairs, but the breakfast provided is very ordinary Egyptian bread + fried eggs + fried Doonut.
Although it is a single room, the bed is a King Size bed. It is close to the Nile River and next to the rowing club, so it is a little noisy in the morning and evening.
Opposite the hotel is the Russian Embassy, with soldiers standing guard. Nearby is the Shearton Hotel, and across the river is the Sofitel Hotel, so it is very safe. The sunrise light on the Nile can shine directly into the room. If you go out during the day and come back to stay late, this is a good choice.
The hotel owner and the proprietress are very warm and friendly; but the waiter in the restaurant is a little cunning. When eating, they say that the water is free, but they charge service fee and VAT when checking out.
