Marriott Executive Apartments Addis Ababa

Such a lovely place with friendly and hardworking staff. Everyone I met was easy to talk to, helpful, and very friendly. The room I stayed in was comfortable - I have no complaints. If I had reason to stay in Addis for an extended stay I would not hesitate to stay at these apartments. The food is tasty and the location convenient to the part of town were my business was located. I can't wait to visit again!

I spent three pleasant months in Marriott Addis in early 2024. Fancy and well-furnished rooms, staffed with trained and responsible people. I love the taste of their food which has a natural flavour. But it may not be a perfect place for someone who wants to enjoy Ethiopian traditional meals. The chefs and waiters were exceptionally friendly (forgot to mention their names). However, there were moments that I encountered different treatments around the security check, reception and restaurant. I stayed in the hotel with a foreign national (European) colleague who has been my assistant in our field work in Ethiopia. While we were together, my colleague was getting all the attention who was treated better than me in many circumsances including at the restaurant, reception and security. Those moments have shown me the whole picture of my people who trust and respect foreigners than their own brothers/sisters. This might be difficult to admit but it is what it is. I would take this as a cultural thing and is not related with this particular hotel. And I see all the other side of the hotel. I can't wait to go again and again.

I came here for my friend’s wedding lunch and was very impressed with the banquet hall. There is a jungle theme with beautiful flowers and art. I absolutely loved it! The food was great too. However, they need to improve their sound system as it was a bit scratchy.

Upon arriving the reception staff greeted me with smiles like a long lost family member. The appartment was amaizing, well designed with more than enough plug points and all the appliances you can think off, most I didn't even use. But the best part of the stay is not the amaizing food and drinks it was the friendliness of the staff, they made my 2 week stay feel like home and I am sad to leave. I will devinitely recommend this hotel, it is simply the best I've stayed in in Africa, and I've been to a lot! Wish there was 6 stars!
