Hovima Jardin Caleta

It is 3 star so expect 3 star. Nice quiet location clean and felt very safe. Black sand beach over the road. Food as expected 3 star. Staff are very helpful and nice. We had apartment very spacious but decor awful and kitchen scruffy etc … 3 star. Room clean tho beds very uncomfortable.. Spacious balcony. Pool area clean and attractive gardens. Pool bar ok, some food avail at pool bar some days dried up from lunch maybe. Sports bar on lower floor bit miserable etc. If you get a reasonable price for this then go for it, the food was better than a 3 star in the restaurant. If you are just laying your head then the room is satisfactory.

Very very nice place! Fantastic beds. :) I am almost 2m high and I never had such good beds in any other hotel I had visited so far. :) Fantastic coastal views. Very very very friendly staff!! Close proximity to many atractions. And the restaurant's garden when you can eat, drink wine or coffee close to growing bananas is astonishing. The hotel is friendly for bicycle riders and sporstsmen in general. You can find there 8 or 10 detailed rounds around Tenerife. The next time I will visit you I will bring my bike. :) Kindest regards and thank you very much for your work!

Perfect location with rooftop jacuzzi and loungers and spacious apartment. Spacious balcony with beautiful views of the beach and across to La Gomera. Five minutes walk to village seafront restaurants. Good swimming pool. Outdoor breakfast area.

Hotel built in the late 90s, right on seafront with panoramic views of the bay. The apartment was clean, beds comfortable, large balcony with pool view. Food was - ok- very slow to replace empty dishes. There are no sofa beds, just L shape sofa for additional guests. If you like walking turn right out of the hotel and head for La Caleta and their gorgeous fish restaurants, head for the steps that take you up to the headland, turn left out of the hotel and follow the beach path/promenade towards Las Americas and beyond. If you don’t want to walk take the bus instead, bus stop round the corner. The staff were all very nice and they did a great Halloween with everyone dressed up and pool disco at night. Will definitely return as we loved the quiet location

When we arrived in the night after a long day we were horrified at the room and comments made by people in the bar. After a good nights sleep things looked totally different. The room was tired and shabby but spotlessly clean. Good shower. The pool area is lovely. The restaurant is fine, lots of choice you can always find something you like. The staff are really friendly. The bar is ok, not a lot of choice of spirits. There was entertainment most evening’s some better than others but it was fine. Rooms were cleaned 5 days out of the 7 There isn’t a lot to do in the area mostly fish restaurants but the bus was every 20 mins to the next resort, very cheap and regular. After what we thought was a disaster we had a great time.

So we knew the rooms are a little dated but they are clean, housekeeping do a good job, food for me personally wasn’t great lots of spaghetti/ pasta no proper meat like chops, chicken or steak, in my opinion they were catering for the young group of kids that were staying here, I was told they were a team of swimmers! So my big upset is this, I have to take some medication with some food every morning, I was honest and went down one morning and asked if I could take a banana to my room, even showed her my tablets, I didn’t want to sit in the dining room just to eat a banana and didn’t want anything else, I was told that it against the rules so I accepted that and went out. Every morning since then I have gone to the restaurant and had breakfast and witnessed lots of people filling they’re bags with fruit, this morning one couple got to whole baguettes from the bread station, filled them with meat and salad, wrapped them in a serviette and put them in they’re rucksacks, why the hell was I not allowed one lousy banana! Staff were going round clearing tables and must have seen this going on, at least I was honest and had the decency to ask if I could have something to take to the room
