一階の藤の間に泊まりました。部屋からの眺めは最高。料理も手の込んだものばかりで、食材も新鮮。村上牛の鉄板焼きが特に美味でした。また、白米にうるさい主人もご飯の美味しさに満足していました。部屋や設備の古さはあるものの、それを上回る眺望と料理に、また来たいと思わせる魅力のある宿でした。 部屋にある無料の飲み物は緑茶セットのみで、個装のコーヒーを持って行って正解でした（ホテルの売店はお土産が少しあるだけで、あとは部屋の冷蔵庫有料ドリンクか自動販売機のみでした）。阿賀野川のせせらぎと山々の新緑を眺めなから、窓際でゆっくりコーヒーを飲むことで日々の疲れが癒されました。
