Music has the power to inspire, motivate, and heal. When this same music is accompanied by the Angelic voice of Fairouz (The Lebanese famous singer), it adds to this power a touch of 'magic' as its effect can not be rationalized. For this reason, we should simply let it be! And we should 'travel' with it to beautiful 'destinations' which equally possess this same power and have this same 'magical' effect on us. One of these beautiful destinations is the Greek Island of Kythira. In Kythira, the authentic beauty of nature, combined with the cheerful smiles of its people, creates a 'symphony' that is 'orchestrated' by the same elements that 'compose' it in the first place. These are the stunningly beautiful landscape and smiling and welcoming faces of the locals, which act as the 'happy notes' that 'inspire' and 'motivate' the visitors to appreciate even more the beauty and the shining Greek sun that makes the uncoperable beaches look even more attractive. These same smilling faces were the main reasons that made me feel at home during my stay at this simple yet very pleasant and friendly hotel, Venardos. The friendly staff who were also really diverse in terms of their cultural backgrounds added to the 'colorful' atmosphere of this beautiful hotel and place. A big thank you to Manolis and his Team for their warm hospitality and their smiling and cheerful faces! Highly recommended for authentic beauty seekers of all kinds!

A good choice for families, very good breakfast, nice view, walking distance from beach and cafes/restaurants. Top of the top: the hospitality of the owners and their nice little gestures that have made our stay unforgettable!!! Not to forget the "Greek Donuts (Loukoumades)" served exceptionally on a Sunday breakfast!

To mention the spacious rooms, the cleanliness and the delicious breakfast is possibly sth expected. Having travelled a lot over the last years however, i have to admit that there has been no place where i have been treated in such a polite / caring way. On my last day there, i happened to suffer from sunstroke. I needed to leave the island by plane as soon as possible. The owner told me he could drive me to hospital if need be, the wife of the owner helped me so much to book my flights while their son made sure i stayed in an airconditioned area until the time came for me to catch my flight. From the bottom of my heart , I would like to say a very big THANK YOU to the whole family. Hope they are all well and keep up the good job.

Όμορφο περιβάλλον, δίπλα στον κεντρικό δρόμο της Αγίας Πελαγίας. Το ξενοδοχείο βρίσκεται σε υπερυψωμένη τοποθεσία και έχει υπέροχη θέα. Περιβάλλεται από όμορφο κήπο και διαθέτει πισίνα. Η πρόσβαση στη θάλασσα μπορεί να γίνει με τα πόδια. Το προσωπικό είναι συνεχώς διαθέσιμο, φιλικό και πολύ εξυπηρετικό. Τα δωμάτια λίγο στενάχωρα για τέσσερα άτομα, αλλά διατηρούνται καθαρά και το ξενοδοχείο προσφέρει καθημερινά αλλαγή πετσετών και σεντονιών. Εάν θα βελτίωνα κάτι θα ήταν το ντους και τον τρόπο διαμόρφωσης των επίπλων ώστε να φαίνεται το δωμάτιο πιο ευρύχωρο. Σήμερα υπάρχουν έπιπλα που πιάνουν λίγο χώρο (πάνω – κάτω κρεβάτια) ενσωματωμένα ντουλάπια κλπ, γενικά έξυπνες διαρρυθμίσεις που συμβάλουν στη μέγιστη εξοικονόμηση χώρου. – το αναφέρω ως μέτρο βελτίωσης. Στον κεντρικό δρόμο και αριστερά όπως κατεβαίνεις από το ξενοδοχείο υπάρχουν ταβερνούλες και καφέ-εστιατόρια. Ξεχωρίσαμε το Αλμύρα (φρέσκο ψάρι) και το Waves and Wines Restaurant (πολύ καλές τιμές και ποιοτικό φαγητό). Γενικά όπου φάγαμε μείναμε ευχαριστημένη εκτός από την εξυπηρέτηση του συγκεκριμένου προσωπικού στο εστιατόριο "Πλάτανος". Ωραίο φαγητό και στα εστιατόρια του χωριού "ποταμός". Τα παιδιά λάτρεψαν τις χοιρινές μπριζόλες σε βαθμό που ονόμασαν τα Κύθηρα «παράδεισο της μπριζόλας». Επίσης στο Eprepe μπορείτε να δοκιμάσετε κρέπες και βάφλες ενώ δίπλα στο καφέ Anna Fresh & Tasty να πιείτε δυνατό καφέ. Ενημερωθείτε και για τις εκδηλώσεις διότι υπάρχουν ταβερνούλες με ζωντανή μουσική, πχ στο εστιατόριο Αμήρ Αλί στο χωριό Καραβάς. Οπωσδήποτε να επισκεφτείτε τη χώρα, τη χύτρα, τον Αμβλέμονα, την Ιερά Μονή Παναγίας Μυρτιδιώτισσας (υπέροχη διαδρομή) και να πάτε για μπάνιο στο Διακόφτι (χωρίς υπερβολή η καλύτερη παραλία).

Μας υποδέχτηκαν με κέρασμα μόλις φτάσαμε!!! Απίστευτη φιλοξενία και ευγενικό προσωπικό. Ένα ξενοδοχείο που σε κάνει να νιώθεις σαν το σπίτι σου. Πεντακάθαρο, άνετο και φωτεινό δωμάτιο με θέα τη θάλασσα. Αρκετές επιλογές πρωινού με γεύσεις για όλα τα γούστα. Ο Μανώλης και όλο το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου ήταν πάντα πρόθυμοι να μας εξυπηρετήσουν και να μας βοηθήσουν στις καθημερινές μας εξορμήσεις. Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα. Σίγουρα θα το ξαναεπισκεφτούμε στο μέλλον!
