Can not complain about this place. It was our first time in Crete and we absolutely loved it. We arrived late evening on the first night, the staff were more than welcoming, they were great with our tired and cranky kids and fed everyone while we checked in. We went last year in Oct close to the end of season, so the pool was a bit cold but the sea was like a bath and we spent most of our days down on the gorgeous beach. Even though it was Oct there was still plenty of sun too. We loved the village set up of the accommodation, the whole facility felt safe and secure, especially with kids. The room was more than adequate for the little time we spent in there and the maids did a wonderful job every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all our enquiries about booking taxi's into town and what restaurants to eat at etc. It was busy and full of nice families but it wasn't load and annoying and cramped, there was loads of space around the pool and beach, perfect for relaxing. The onsite shop was perfect for all our daily needs, we made sandwiches for days at the pool and beach and treated ourselves to the onsite ice cream parlour and coffee shop too. You can order food and refreshments online via the pool bar and get it delivered to your sun lounger which was a real bonus. We stayed half board and the food was more than fine, always a large choice, kids choice too. Themed nights and entertainment. We loved it so much were off back here in 2026 and we cant wait.

We spent so long trying to find somewhere in Crete and booked Candia Park based on the reviews, it felt like a gamble as anywhere does when you’ve never been there but we needn’t have worried. We stayed here from 4th-14th October 2024. We couldn’t have been happier with our experience. My husband has run hotels, restaurants and bars for years in the UK and USA, this makes him a very fussy traveller and very critical, he is not easily pleased but we’ve been back a few days and he’s already booked us in for next year! The staff are everything here, they are SO friendly, welcoming and accommodating. From reception to the bar and restaurants to the cleaning staff who bring fresh towels and clean the room everyday, they also made cute bows out of the bed sheets and even made a little bed for my daughters toy that she absolutely loved. These little touches were so appreciated. They work so incredibly hard and still manage to make you feel comfortable and well looked after. We have allergies, mine is very severe/ anaphylactic which is new to me and very frightening. Wherever we ate, the buffet, a la carte or even when we arrived at 11.30pm (and the lovely Maria on reception made us pizza!) they were so reassuring, they checked everything meticulously. Whenever I went to the buffet the super friendly head chef would give me a tour of every single option and tell me what was in it and if it was safe for me to eat, honestly I wish I could have brought him home with me, I felt so bad for inconveniencing him so often but he never gave any inkling that he wasn’t happy to do it and made me feel so safe! It’s the perfect place if you don’t like big, all inclusive hotels, surrounded by other Brits. It feels authentic just like a village and is absolutely beautiful. It’s spread over quite a big area which makes it all the more special, there’s an ice cream parlour, gym, shop and spa, all lovely. There are stunning views from every angle, a private beach with excellent snorkelling and the pool is so relaxing, the kids can have fun playing but the lifeguard makes sure it’s within reason. It’s close to Agios Nikolaos town centre and Elounda which are both well worth a visit. I would recommend hiring a car, it was easy enough online and saved us travelling at least an extra hour on a coach transfer, the hotel was so easy to find from Heraklion airport and took just under an hour. One very small criticism is that our children are 11 and 13 and we were surrounded by babies in every other apartment, whose crying woke us up every morning. I’m sure it was just an unfortunate coincidence and if we had mentioned it, something could have been done but it would definitely be something to consider. Thank you to all the staff at Candia Village Park, we will look forward to seeing you next year and hope you enjoy a well deserved break!

Amazing! We would recommend to both adults and children. A little piece of paradise. Our stay here felt like a wellness retreat with lots going on for the whole family! Amazing views, great beach, and crystal clear water to swim in. Plus only 10 mins in a taxi to Agios Nikolaos (11Euros) We stayed here with our 4 year old daughter and didn’t know what to expect. We had never stayed in a resort style hotel before, as they can feel very brits abroad and quite isolated in middle of nowhere and we like to enjoy an authentic experience, but Candia Park Village ticked every box, a lovely Cretan retreat. It’s such a beautiful little village with colourful buildings, flowers, amazing views - it’s hard not to take photos wherever you go. A special thanks to the staff in all areas who go above and beyond for you and are just genuinely nice people. From reception, to house keeping, to the food and beverage staff, kids club team and water sports hosts- we thank you all for making our holiday so memorable. Our daughter was delighted with the kids club and it was hard to get her to leave at times as the entertainment was so good. She enjoyed a mermaid swimming lesson, a cooking class, arts and crafts and lots more fun and games. All the while we were able to let her enjoy her chosen activities while we made the most of relaxing on the beach. The Cretan Night and Bubble Show was fantastic entertainment for all the family. Really fun and entertaining with such a relaxed vibe, especially with the village backdrop and clock tower. I there’s something really magical about seeing all the children laughing and dancing in the Square whilst the parents could relax enjoying a drink. We also hired a self drive boat on the last day for a couple hours which was another really nice activity for all of us to enjoy. Natalia and Nikos were so lovely! Would recommend hiring a boat from them. I would come here as a family, as a couple, even as a single person. We will definitely be back.

We have celebrated our wedding in Candia Park Village and everything was beyond our expectation: Spectacular views, Delicious greek cuisine, Friendly staff, Large and cosy rooms, Big pools with excellent pool bar, Sandy private beach with trees. We where 64 people with different interests and personalities and EVERYONE was happy. We even decided to celebrate our annivarsary in Candia Park Village. Special thanks to Mr. Giannis and Mr. George for helping us to orginize our wedding and for our great experience in the hotel. They have thinked about every detail we could not even imagine. And our wedding by the sea and wedding dinner in Taverna was amazing. Thank you Candia Hotel for your great hospitality and atmosphere. We had spent the best 4 days in this hotel. We will definitely visit you again!!!

Old fashioned hotel Quite noisy all day and night because of the people arriving and leaving with the suitcases Food is in the average but not the quality of other hotels done just before with less stars It is an hotel for the families with kid club two beautiful pools, a small beach with old sunbed. Take your mask as there are many fish in the little bay. This hotel needs to refresh the rooms as only the bathroom are refreshed Personal is really kind, helpful

If you’re looking for karaoke and pool parties, this isn’t the place for you. What Candia Park does provide, though, is a wonderfully relaxing break from home, with an incredible level of service, comfort, and attention to detail that’s hard to beat. Nestled in the Marbello bay, a few kilometres away from Aghios Nikolaos, Candia Park village was built in the 1990s, and its 200+ apartments have been laid out in the style of a Cretan village. And, thanks to the split level, sculpture, and planting, it works really well (there’s even a clock tower!). There are three pools, which can accommodate kids/adults of any age and ability in the water. There is a private beach, with an attached diving/hire shop, where you can rent boats, pedal boats, or get diving lessons. And there is also a more secluded sea/decking area, with steps down to the ocean (not for weak swimmers). And all are kept in great condition. A small shop sells basics (and there’s a bigger store a kilometre away, should you need more choice). And a number of restraints and bars ensure there’s always food and drink readily available (with pool service to boot). But what really made the holiday special for us was the staff. Greek people are renowned for their friendliness, and the Candia Park staff are no exception. Always smiling, and happy to help. (And not in that fake, American way.) We spent one of the most relaxing weeks you could imagine here, and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to people looking for a perfect, family getaway.
