We spent a week at Domes of Elounda and it was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is of the highest standard from the reception to housekeeping, everything was exceptional. However, the real highlight of our stay was the kids’ club, which is by far the best we’ve ever experienced and we travel about five times a year, mostly with Club Med. The manager, Eleni, took incredible care of us and our 13 month old son. She gave him personal attention, updated us daily on how his day went, and created an environment where he could express himself in the best way possible. Thanks to the care, comfort, and peace of mind the kids’ club provided, we even booked another week for next year! There is truly something magical about this place. All the staff, including Depi, were warm, communicative, and connected with the children on their level. Their professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion for working with kids set a new standard for service. Many places could learn from the way this team creates such a special atmosphere. Highly recommended for families we can’t wait to come back!

This is an amazing hotel with superb staff, food, location and very comfy rooms. Butterfly was our host cleaner. When we arrived late she arranged two swans on the bed made from towels with flower petals across the bed. The kitchen had organised a meal for us with prosecco drinks, chocolates and turkish delight. The staff in the restaurant were so attentive and interesting to talk to. Particularly Adhul and Giorgio serving us outside. The meals were fantastic, tasty, fresh and superbly displayed. Quite honestly spoilt for choice! The grounds, pool, beach and surrounding areas were beautifully maintained. The customer service staff Lily, Emma and were so helpful with all our requests. It was a lovely relaxing holiday, we would obviously want to return!

This is an interesting and very popular place, but it's important to understand what it is - and what it isn't. Firstly, the Domes of Elounda is not in Elounda - it's about 3 miles North along the coast from Elounda. An hours walk (tricky after dusk), a 12 euro taxi or a cheap (but irregular) bus ride. It's much nearer Plaka (about a mile away), which we preferred anyway. The footprint of this hotel is huge - spread out over a cone shaped hillside. This is a resort designed for well-off families with children. We were surprised by the number of pre-school kids here - all the way up to teenagers (despite our visit being during British & European term time). This adds a lot of noise to mealtimes. Clientel is British, German, French, Scandi and a mix of other Europeans (at least in October). The beach area is rather lovely and designed to be safe for children - shallow, gently shelving sand - you have to go out a long way to get out of tour depth. Views are great. Staff are friendly and well trained. It is impossible to get away from Piped Pop Muzak ! - not just in the hotel bars and restaurants but outside too and even at the beach. This is also true of most bars and tavernas in the area. If you are a young family and can afford the prices here (high), I'd recommend it, but as an aging couple this place wasn't really for us.

This was our first trip to Greece. We picked Domes because it was very highly rated. It didn't disappoint. To start, the staff gets my highest rating. Extremely friendly and attentive without hovering. Anything we asked for was delivered fast and with a smile. Bravo to the staff! Our room was a free upgrade (we're Titanium). It was a well designed suite with all the amenities. Including a private pool. Everything on the resort is clean and exceptionally well maintained. The views are great in all directions. I recommend taking a trip to Spinalonga Island. You can rent a boat taxi at the resort, which we did. There's also a ferry from the nearby towns. The beach here is nice. Try and get chairs where there is a sandy entrance to the water. Otherwise you're stepping on large rocks. We came late in the season so the sea temp was around 75F. Not bad if you're from New England. And, the water is crystal clear. The service for food and drink at the beach was great. Take a picture of your scan next to your chair and delivery of food and drink is fast and high quality. Food here was top notch. While not all was traditional Greek, I highly recommend Makris, Antonio's and The Blend. Excellent sommelier if you like high quality wines. Great personal touch as he will take you right to the wine rack and help you pick, regardless of your expertise. My other recommendation is the Soma Spa. Well worth the price. Great options. They have a concierge and a separate desk for on site restaurant reservations. The family pool, next to The Blend, is heated, salt water. Best choice. It's tough to wander from such luxury but I also recommend traveling to the nearby towns for authentic Greek foods and shopping.

Our second time in this amazing resort. I cannot even find the right words to describe the quality standard, the vibes, the hospitality and generosity we had the pleasure to experience here (again!) Besides the whole place being a true luxury oasis the most amazing place the 1 Million stars award goes to the whole team here. We are traveling a lot and no words can do the staffs efforts, their smiles and attention to every details justice. If you want to spend a perfect (family) holiday this is the place to go. Thank you so much - we will 1000% be back! Christoph & Family

We returned to Domes with our three children and also my parents having not been since 2019. It was as special and beautiful as we remembered. As always, the staff and the atmosphere they create are what sets Domes apart from the other resorts we’ve stayed at. Huge thanks to Lilly and the team in Haute Living for thinking of everything. We look forward to coming back soon!

We are a family of 2 adults and 3 children ages 12, 14, 17 and just returned from a relaxing and beautiful 4 night stay at Domes of Elounda. My children stayed in a spacious family suite and even had their own outdoor sitting area with a jacuzzi. My husband and I were surprised to be upgraded to a beautiful suite in the new adults only part of the resort. At first, I was a little put off by the fact that it was about a 5 minute buggy ride from where my children were staying. But when we walked into our newly built, huge, gorgeous suite with its own large terrace and breathtaking view out to Spinalonga, I got over it! We appreciated all the small touches in our suite, such as the welcome gifts of Cretan liquer, the boxes of Nespresso pods, the complimentary water, the handheld steamer that actually worked, the yoga mat and block, the speaker that we could actually crank up without disturbing any neighbours, the luxurious toiletries provided (especially the body lotion), the very effective blackout curtain in the sleeping area. My only (small) complaint if I had to make one would be the light switches were very confusing and I didn't like how they automatically turned on so brightly when getting up to use the toilets in the middle of the night. Also there was a bad smell in the closet which we reported but no one ever addressed- I had to spray it down with body spray every day. Another not-so-great part of our stay I would have to say was the food options. The breakfast buffet was mediocre compared to other 5 resorts we have stayed at. Lunches at the pool and beach bars were good, the Villebrequin restaurant at the beach had a nice setting but the food should have been better for the price. Because we hadn't booked ahead of time, we were only able to get last minute dinner bookings at Blend (twice) and the adults only restaurant Antonino's (while we sent our kids to the dinner buffet which they said was decent). The food was good, nothing spectacular. But the waitstaff were always fabulous and helpful. We preferred the atmosphere at Blend. We thought Antonino's would be good because it is adults only and they were having a DJ the night we went, but there was no vibe at all. Actually, it there was really no vibe at night anywhere in the resort. Maybe this was because it was the end of the season? But the resort did seem busy...so I'm not sure where everyone was at night! We had just stayed at another resort earlier in the week that had live music events in it's main bar area. And although it wasn't super busy, there were still people and more of an atmosphere. Perhaps because Domes of Elounda is such a big resort and more spread out, it's hard for people to congregate in a main area. I am not usually one to seek out entertainment options at resorts (I find most to be super cheesy) but I do notice and miss the option when it isn't available! It was nice for the kids to have a teen area to hang out, although they said it was empty. Perhaps some ev

We had an excellent time at Domes of Elounda this October. The beach was beautiful, with calm and shallow waters perfect for young children. We also enjoyed renting a pedalo with a slide! The family pool was another hit - plenty of space whether you wanted to sit in the sun or shade. Ours are older, but we also spotted a smaller very shallow pool that would be perfect for tinies (situated in shade). The room we stayed in was perfect for us. The boys had their own space on the pull out couch and the terraced area (with hot tub) was an ideal space to share a bottle of wine in the evening while they slept. Housekeeping kept the room beautifully clean and tidy during our stay, even providing a turn down service (with Halloween treats one evening)! The most amazing part of staying at Domes was the customer service - particularly Stella and the Guest Relations Team. They could not have done more for us, and my older son was positively enamoured with Stella throughout his stay! The team dropped off some little toys and gifts for them, arranged for fizz and chocolate mousse cake for our anniversary, and checked in on us frequently - nothing was too big an ask! They even kindly accommodated our friends (who were staying at Phaea Blue next door - beautiful but far less family-friendly in terms of the hotel itself and stony beach) to allow us to have fun seeing them during our trip. We can’t thank Stella enough!
