Proteas Hotel & Suites

My stay at Hotel Proteas was outstanding! The hotel is immaculate and every detail is well looked after by the family that owns and runs the hotel. They were so kind and accommodating but non-intrusive. The hotel is a short walk to the beaches and restaurants. The hotel also serves delicious local fare! The view from the balconies is lovely complete with direct sunset views. The area is quiet and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe here. It was one of my overall favorite hotel experiences in Europe! Enjoy!

This was our favourite place we stayed at during our tour of the Cyclades. It’s located between Naxos Old Town (Chora) and the main beaches including Plaka. Both can be reached by bus or should I say comfortable coaches. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. You can buy the 2 euro tickets from reception. Chora is about a 15-20 minute journey and the beaches 10-15 mins by bus. The nearest beach is a 10-15 minute walk. During the time of our stay the buses were running every half hour. We also used the bus to go to the port for our ferry. Taxi from outside the port to the hotel was 25 euros. The hotel is very attractive and feels like a very little village and had beautiful colourful planting. We were staying in a suite with a hot tub which afforded views of the sea and sunset. Our room (#5) was very roomy and comfortable. There is a kitchenette with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle and sink. We ordered breakfast most days and had it brought to our room and one evening we stayed in and had a light dinner brought up- fab. There is also an extensive second hand book library in reception - thank you to previous guests! The family and staff running the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. The overall vibe from fellow guests was also friendly.

This is a really lovely hotel. Very comfortable spotlessly clean. All you need to make your own breakfast to enjoy watching the sea as you eat. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Food if you eat here is tasty also great coffee. Would have no hesitation in recommending as a relaxing place to holiday at

We had a 7-days stay at the Proteas Hotel & Suites on Naxos. After a exhausting journey we arrived at the premises and we were welcomed most friendly by Mary and Mr. George. We were accompanied to our room (no 17.) on the top floor of the building. The suitcase was already in the room. It appeared to be a beautiful spacious and very quiet room with two terraces with plenty of shadow. Each morning we sat down at the reception to have coffee which was prepared by Irine, one of the friendly staff members. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. It is just a very, very clean and peaceful place. A real gem.

We had a wonderful experience at Proteas Hotel. The hotel was beautiful and clean and the staff was very friendly and kind. The pool was very nice, and the atmosphere was pleasant and peaceful. They were very accommodating and we had everything we needed and more. There was a parking lot and room to breathe - we were not cramped. We loved it and will definitely return!

Staying here for a week. Loved it the moment we arrived. The family crew running this lovely boutique hotel are extremely friendly and super helpful. The room was super clean when we arrived and very specious with everything we needed for a quite family holiday. The pool is awesome and always has sun-beds available event bough it looks small. Room has a decent size fridge which very handy for a week stay with young teens. 5 minutes wal to the beach and town. We are loving it here!
