Hotel Della Valle

The location of the hotel is very good, and the sea view room has a beautiful view. The heating and air conditioning were not very effective. After the reaction, the hotel quickly arranged a heater. The heater is pretty good, but the sound will be a bit noisy. Others are very satisfied. Breakfast is provided for free, simple croissants and bread, and all kinds of sauces. The reception staff is very nice and enthusiastic.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a week during our holiday to Sicily. We selected the bed and breakfast option, not all inclusive. Our first impression of the hotel was second to none, the decor and presentation is beautiful, certainly looks like a 5 star hotel! The receptionists on arrival and throughout our stay were also exceptional, very friendly and approachable with no doubt that they would do anything for you. However, this is where our compliments end. We felt during our stay that we were not valued as other guests and we did not understand why. Things like, waiting staff not being as smiley and approachable as they were to other guests, forgetting multiple drinks orders throughout the week, cocktails coming in different forms in the same night (the Sicilian passion cocktail first arriving as a frozen daiquiri form then half an hour later another arriving as a liquid). One waiter started to take our order at the bar and whilst my partner was mid sentence the waiter walked off and started serving somebody else. We also did not feel that sweeping round our feet at the table in the bar was appropriate when we were eating our meals. Our room although lovely with a beautiful view, wasn’t cleaned every day. This is not something that would bother us ordinarily as nobody changes their sheets at home everyday but in a 5 star hotel, you expect room service every day, which did not happen and clean sheets more than 3 times in a week. For bed and breakfast we had access to the buffet in the morning which was nice if you don’t want any warm food. Multiple different types of fruit, yoghurt, pasties and cakes but the bacon, sausage and egg was disappointingly cold every morning. Coffee is exceptional though! There are restaurants within the hotel that are equally lovely in decor as the rest of the hotel and the food was very nice. However, one night in one of the restaurants we were dining with no more than 5 other tables. Whilst we were eating our main courses, one of the waiters came out with two meals and a jug to accompany, it was clear that the waiter was unsure of which table the food belonged to as he was walking around aimlessly. He then put the jug on our table and walked off. Confused and thinking that the jug was an accompaniment to our meal, I picked it up and had a look but decided to leave it. In this time the waiter came back with the same two meals, picked up the jug he had left on our table and took it to another table and gave them their meals along with the jug. Thankfully I hadn’t toughed the sauce in the jug or actually eaten any of it, little do they know I could’ve had an allergy to something in that sauce or heaven forbid I could of cross contaminated something from my meal into the sauce and then it be taken to the correct person with an allergy or intolerance. Thankfully this did not occur but we were both astounded that this had happened at a 5 star restaurant. All of these things may be small but they a

I rented a car and booked this hotel just to see the Valley Of Temples. This Hilton property was very good. They awaited for us outside, and prepared are boarding. We were welcomed with a drink. They wanted us to tour their property but we only had 1 day to stay so we said we needed to catch the VOT before sunset. I booked a junior suite which was very spacious. I think the only downside was it was near the restaurant where a talented pianist played until 10 or 11. kind of noisy, but for 1 night I was ok with it. We also ate at the restaurant that night. The food was good, but not great. Service was excellent. The view was sensational. This is a 5 star hotel where staff knows what they are doing. So overall I was very content in my stay. I had read the reviews of this hotel and picked it because of its location to the valley of the temples. Honestly, I feel like the hotel is trying to do a bit too much. The location is about a 10 minute drive to the valley of the temples. However, it is in a section of town called San Leone which is an area that is a bit rundown. We did take a taxi into town and we were taken to a very lovely area. If you are interested in staying in a more upscale area, this is not the hotel for you. By the time we got to this hotel, we had been to several other boutique locations. I was expecting similar service, but we’re greeted with people who looked like had a very long day and did not even stand up to greet us. It just felt like they could barely be bothered to deal with us. Although they were nice, they just seemed kind of beaten down . I had booked this hotel by translating the website into English. While my first email was in English every other following email arrived in Italian. It took quite some labor to translate all of the messages. I feel like they could do better in dealing with English speaking guests. There are two parking areas. One is behind a closed gate and the other is simply an open air lot. Both of these parking lots are located across the street from the hotel. Because a tour bus was arriving we were encouraged to park in the open air lot. There was also no assistance to try to help us with our bags. Other hotels that we visited, had someone come to our car to help us unload. One of the perks is that if you have dinner at the hotel, they will provide you with a bus service to and from the valley of the temples. I believe they have a 930 drive to the valley and then a noon departure. I think they may also have a separate time frame, but because we had already pre-bought our ticket we did not take advantage of this. The hotel specifically calls itself a museum and spa. When you enter the hotel in the main lobby, there are several cases of artifacts that were found at the valley of the temples or nearby. These artifacts are actually very cool. Sadly, the little cards that were on them were all in Italian and I could not read them. in regards to being a Spa, we did not take advantage of the service so cannot comment on it. Not exactly sure where the Spa even was but other travelers have commented on it. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. My only comment would be that the door knobs were extremely tricky, and we had difficulty figuring it out until we spoke to a maid who hand gesture to us how to do it. They had a nice breakfast where you could eat indoors or outdoors on their lovely patio. Across the street is a pool and a small playground. I also heard that they have access to a beach, but we did not go there. If you have children, this would be a good location for you. There was nothing specifically bad at this hotel but there was also nothing specifically wonderful. It was a bit shabby and we weren’t greet

The hotel is comfortable and clean. It has a large swimming pool, parking and private access to the beach with parasols and beds, as well as a friendly and well-educated bathroom service. However, the reception staff was not so hospitality and welcome because they were contrary to the presence in the room of a car-portable refrigerator used exclusively for the maintenance of personal products. I would have been banned from accessing the hotel with the mini-fridge afterwards because it would consume electric power caused by a overload of energy that could interrupt the electricity at the plane (which is a undue excuse!!!). I had to give my good reasons with determination and insistence to access the portable mini-fridge. It would be a good standard if the decor of clothes was respected in the hotel's indoor rooms of common use as guests walk in bath suits.
