Not a bad hotel for its money. True, at 12:00 at night someone started talking very loudly and the administrator did not ask him to shut up, I had to do it myself.

It was a one woman show - from picking up guests from the train station to reception, cleaning to breakfast serving. Unfortunately this affected the quality of service. I rate one star for this unreasonable service quality. Also, while nothing got lost or stolen just beware not to leave valuebles in your room. The keys are left by the reception but since it was only one lady doing everything she has no choice but to leave keys on the table for guest convenience. At the risk of safety.

This hotel was booked for us as part of a 2-day Short Inca Trail Hike from PeruHike. It was a perfectly adequate place to stay for the night after a tough day hiking. Nothing special. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot, although ventilation in the room was minimal (some clothes we attempted to wash out were still damp in the morning). Noise level from the street is high, but that's more a Peru thing than specific to this hotel. Breakfast was fine.
