The hotel has two swimming pools with good water quality. When it suddenly rains heavily, umbrellas are provided. When there was a blockage in the sewer pipe, the management staff was able to help solve it in time, and the service attitude was enthusiastic. The shortcoming was that the variety of dishes was monotonous, the selection was insufficient, and the taste was average. After staying for four days, lunch and dinner were basically served in the restaurant outside.

We stayed at this hotel from December 6 to December 18 in room 110. The first impression was very good: pleasant staff, delicious food (even our 2-year-old child had no problems choosing food), excellent room for Sri Lankan standards. And in general, the review would have been 6 out of 5 stars, if not for: 1) the hotel managers guessed to arrange a 24-hour (!) electronic music concert on the territory of the hotel, which lasted all night until the next evening - for obvious reasons, we didn't get much sleep. 2) one day, the air conditioner spat out dirty liquid on the bed and my T-shirt. Somehow I managed to arrange for my T-shirt to be washed at the expense of the hotel, but they did it badly - as a result, there were indelible dirty spots on the T-shirt. 3) and finally (fortunately or not, we found out about it on the day we left the hotel) - 40 of the 200 dollars in the safe was stolen. The amount is obviously small, but this is the first time in almost 30 countries I have visited where money has been stolen from me - a disgrace to the hotel, its staff and managers who cast a shadow on their own country!

Amazing mesmerizing place infrount of southern beach. Very supportive and friendly staff who are always supported us with a beautiful smile. Had a meeting at conference room of South lake resort and all the arrangements were done on time and served everything we requested nicely. Food were delicious. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. Highly recommend!

South lake resort is one best resort in southern part of sri lanka, i been spend one night with my family, absolutely brilliant holyday i had, the pool view room are atmosphere are awesome, for the breakfast and dinner i had in main restaurant, the staff are friendly and always smiling face, make as so cool, all of them i would like to mention the staff given as brilliant service and look after every thing what's we want, thank you so much and will visit again while visiting sri lanka!

During the recent 04 days trip in sri lanka, my family and I stayed at this resort. It was a nice and peaceful place with a simple, elegant look. The staff was friendly and helpful when we booked and checked out. The rooms were big and clean, which we liked and calm place!

We called in to South Lake for lunch and wish we could have stayed but sadly our itinerary didn't allow. The food was fabulous. An excellent chef provided grilled red snapper and Sri Lankan curries. We took their boat ride down the river and across the lake to visit a cinnamon factory where we saw the bark being processed into spice. We will definitely come back to stay when we next visit Sri Lanka.

Had an amazing stay with my family. Nice location adjoining Koggala lake and beach, great and clean rooms, wonderful cuisine and service. Friendly staff especially at the restaurant serving amazing meals. Enjoyed a lot. Would highly recommend.
