Hôtel du Roy

We have stayed in the hotel for 3 days with my family. We have arrived late to the hotel so we have decided to eat in the restaurant. We have been amazed by the food that we had in dinner. Everything was so special including the starters we have decided to have dinner and try everything on the menu on the coming days. That was the best decision on that trip. They have a very rich wine list as well. We have tried wines from the region and the wines were really great. A reservation is a must otherwise you may not find an available table. Food is excellent and Service was great. Worth to visit and change the route.

Fantastic little place in the middle of champagne country! we stayed at this hotel as an over night stop on the way to Switzerland from Lichfield, England to break the journey up. Once into France the drive to the hotel was amazing. The hotel itself was easy to find, although one thing to note is that the main entrance is at the back of the hotel in the car park and not the image you see on google maps. We did not have dinner but did have breakfast which was simple yet satisfying. We were planning on staying there on the way back from Switzerland however our route changed so we didnt stay on the way back. Only thing i would say that whilst we had a good night sleep, the hotel itself is very creaky due to laminate floor boards on old timber flooring. Either way the place was lovely and so was the host. We were able to park which was a major plus although access to the car park was very tight and required us to fold up the wing mirrors - we were driving a VW Touareg which has quite a large footprint for an SUV. Smaller cars will be fine.
