A short 1 night stay at La Pinede was enjoying we loved the swimming in the sea tha beach and the views

We stayed here for three nights after flying into Ajaccio. The location was stunning- right on the beach with a beautiful pool and incredible garden space to relax. The room was as advertised but quite small for a family of 4- thankfully our children are still small so I would recommend for a young family but the space is definitely not large enough for a family with teenagers. The bathroom had been newly decorated but again was very small. We would recommend this for a short stay to see the sights of the town. The staff were faultlessly helpful and kind and the breakfasts were brilliant.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights all together. Honestly, it was one of the friendliest places I ever stayed in. The décor is fabulous, location is perfect. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Everything is as described. It is a family hotel, so they care. I don’t have enough positive comments regarding the staff. Sofie in particular goes above and beyond. You cannot go wrong staying à La Pinède

We had a lovely one week stay at this hotel. It's rare that a hotel fully meets expectations, and on this occasion it did. We did opt for a superior room, and in my opinion it was worth it. Breakfast was good, pleny of choice. The bar was handy for returning late. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and you don't really need to go into Ajaccio centre to eat. If you head towards Ajaccio there are some good (but pricey) places. If you head in the other direction (towards the Iles) then there are a few more places that are not so expensive but they are offset from the coastal road. In the hotel the shower worked well, always giving hot water. The air con was good, sometimes we had to turn it off as it got a bit too much but very effective. Staff were friendly and the place had a really relaxing feel to it. We hired a car, and to be honest unless you want the stress of driving through Ajaccio and go out far, you don't really need one. There is parking at the rear and some street, although the street is exposed. The hotel is more like a 4-star, and we had nothing to complain about. Corsica is not cheap so I was glad to have chosed this as it turned out to be a really good choice. Oh and the ice cream was really good at the hotel bar.

Let me start by saying that I had a wonderfull relaxing time at this stunning property. What a gem indeed for a great price. Worth every penny. We had a superior sea view room (room 309) with amazing sea views and also pool views. It is border lining 4 stars I might say. Pros: - The sea view room had stunning view over the sea and the pool area. They accomodated my request to get the room on the higehst floor possible. - The pool area is amazing. I loved it so much and pool has perfect temperature. - The garden area near the sea is so relaxing as if you ar in nature. - Direct access to the beach via a door (just cross teh street and you are at the beach) - Very clean property although its a bit old. - Super friendly staff and service. - The bar prices are normal and affordable. - Seperate toilet than shower room. I liked that feature. - Huge room with huge bed and very comfortable. Cons: - The rooms are dated (in contrast to the property), especaially the bathroom. I didnt like the curtain in bath. wasnt a pleasnt exeperience. - Toilet has no lock from inside. - Breakfast can have more variety somehow.

Hotel staff was always willing to help despite our non-existent French and their modest English. So glad we were remote from the congestion and cruise ship crowds of Ajaccio. Beautiful garden like setting by the sea. Very quiet, never a leaf blowing gardener ruining the zen. Pretty pool and nearby beach required no driving. A beach shop 10 minute walk offered all a landlubber needs for a swim in the sea. Breakfast was a reasonable value. Lovely terraces too. Self cooked eggs a nice option. Modern coffee makers weee all in French so a few failed mixes required. Room lighting was not adequate for reading. Room AC helped in a steamy early heat wave. Dark shades make late morning sleeping in very possible. Wi-Fi signal strength was only OK on the balcony and strongest by the hallway. Parking is on-site and secure but cramped (very cramped) the area is quiet and garden like with not hint of crime. The Med is warm and crystal clear the beaches are sandy with scattered large boulders for backrests. Beach rentals are widely available. Hotel offers a beach kit for daily rental.
