Hitomaru Kadan

I stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days while traveling to Akashi with my mother. It is a ryokan with spacious tatami rooms and hot springs. It is less than a 20-minute walk from Akashi Station, a 5-minute walk from the nearest subway, and a 3-minute walk from Akashi Seaside Park, so the location is really good. In particular, there were many elderly staff members, but they were so kind and polite that I was really happy for 3 days. Since it is a place where many Japanese locals visit, it was difficult to communicate in other languages, but the staff used a translator to help me diligently, so there was no problem at all. There is also an open-air bath in the bathhouse, so it was perfect for enjoying the open-air bath in mid-March, when the weather was still cold. I took four baths in 3 days. There was also a pretty yukata, so it was great to set the mood for a trip to Japan. I like eating at ryokans, so I also requested breakfast, but it was a little disappointing that it was bento instead of kaiseki. I was able to eat delicious kaiseki dinner the next evening for an additional 13,900 yen per person, which was nice. I would like to visit again next time I visit Akashi 💙

First of all, the ryokan mainly targets Japanese guests, so in reality, the only language they speak is Japanese. (I used Japanese) The location is within a 5-minute walk near Hitomarumae Station. Directions: Once you get out of the station, go left at the intersection on the right and keep going straight until you see a sign for Hitomukadan (人丸花壇). Turn left there. First of all, all the staff are very friendly. The breakfast seemed like a typical Japanese home-cooked meal, but it felt like a lot of effort had been put into it. If you book for 2 nights or more, your room will be cleaned every night. Toothbrush, 1 shower towel, kimono or yukata? is also provided. Shower towels are also replaced with new ones every night, so just use them and leave them in front of the bathroom mirror. Do not fold it neatly as it may be misunderstood as unused. (Or you can ask to replace the used one) For reference, I stayed in a room on the 3rd floor called 永正 (Eisho), and the facilities themselves were clean and all good... but the problem was the heating efficiency... that's right. I don't know about other rooms, but in the case of Eisho, there is a hole at the top, so some of the warm air from the system air conditioner escapes, and at the same time, cold air comes in, so it is quite cold. It's really cold, especially in the early morning. We strongly recommend that you wear some layers while sleeping. The blanket is thick and fluffy, but it's still cold. I don't know if there will be any more Korean tourists coming to this ryokan, but just in case, I wrote a notice for Korean tourists and gave it to the ryokan staff. Please refer to the notice for more details. (If you are good at English, please correct the English notice later. It's a bit strange.)

It's quite a distance from Akashi Station. According to Google navigation, it takes 12 minutes to walk there. Fortunately, there's no need to walk. It takes about 8 minutes to take a taxi from Akashi Station to the hotel (but it takes 5 minutes for the taxi to leave the hotel and reach the station the next day). Make a reservation for two people to stay and eat together (breakfast the next day). The hotel seems to have a history, the rooms have been renovated, and the hotel has an elevator so you don't have to worry about heavy luggage. However, the hotel staff will help carry the luggage when you check in. The Japanese-style room feels very spacious for two people. There is a table and chair area by the window which is great. It is very pleasant to have a drink and chat after soaking in the hot springs in the evening. Although some traditional or older hot spring hotels are now non-smoking, there will still be some residual smoke smell, but this hotel has no smoke smell, so it is a good choice for people who hate the smell of smoke. The breakfast is light and the food is not outstanding, but it is pretty good. In terms of hot springs, the room has a bathtub for bathing, and you can also go to the public hot springs for men and women. There are saunas, indoor pools, and outdoor hot spring baths. The space is not big, but I was the only one there that night and the next morning, so I was alone. I enjoyed the whole hot spring. The hot spring is very comfortable and has no smell. I like it very much. However, it contains iron and you should not soak in it for too long, otherwise your skin will be astringent and dry. The staff who provided service when I checked in were very enthusiastic and kind, but the attitude of the staff when I checked out was obviously not so kind. However, I still thanked him for helping me call a taxi. (In addition, the breakfast service staff are very kind and enthusiastic, which makes people feel energetic in the morning, which is really great). The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the Owai Coast to see the sea view and Akashi Bridge. It’s great to take a walk and enjoy the scenery after breakfast!
