The Capaldi Hotel, Restaurant & Spa

We stayed over Christmas week, incredible, attentive service that was personal but never overbearing - you can really relax here. Welcomed by the manager, so friendly and kind and was on hand to check in with us throughout our stay. The grounds of the hotel and the views are quite stunning. The Atlas Mountains ever present as a backdrop. Were able to arrange multiple airport transfers and a car into Marrakech no problem. Arranged ATV dune buggy experience which was an incredible and different Boxing Day experience! They even went out of their way to celebrate a birthday in a special way at dinner time. Food in the restaurant was excellent quality. Thank you for a wonderful trip, and my apologies for taking so long to review!

We stayed at the Capaldi in December 2024 just after Christmas. We couldn't have been happier. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the food delicious. The general manager, Carol, is quite frankly the best general manager we have ever had. Nothing was too much trouble and she thought of everything that could make our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at this amazing hotel and would not have wanted to be anywhere else! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left.... (With tears in my eyes) we were utterly spoilt! If I could give more stars I would. It's a stunning hotel in almost the middle of nowhere, although a mere 35 mins from Marrakesh. The accommodation is pristine, the food sublime and the staff incredible. You would be crazy not to come here. I can also recommend hiking in the Atlas Mountains. It was a humbling experience after the luxury of the Capaldi hotel. Thank you to everyone for looking after us so well. I will never forget it 🤩

A traditional Moroccan hotel. Beautifully decorated and authentic. Carol and her staff are wonderful and definitely make this hotel special. The gardens and pool areas are beautiful, there are no worries about getting a sunbed in the morning. 1 pool is heated and 1 not I can definitely recommend a cold water swim to wake you up and energise you. The indoor fireplaces are lovely, you can even have the one in your room lit after dinner. All the food we had was excellent and very good quality. The homemade crisps are the best we’ve ever tasted. The hotel organised our taxi transfers and all our trips which were wonderful. We did the buggy tour arranged by the hotel which was fantastic, we also visited the onsite spa which again was excellent. Our 1 day tour of the Atlas Mountains was suburb it was hard going but a definite high from our trip. Things worth noting - The WiFi is patchy and slightly frustrating. No tvs in the rooms. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. The hotel doesn’t have a money exchange so make sure you have changed some at the airport. The hotel is a good 40 mins from Marrakesh so if your looking for bars and restaurants maybe do a split stay. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, Carol is a ray of light and you can see the staff and guests all love her. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful authentic surroundings then this hotel is for you.

Thank you, Tara, Ed, Carol and team for a wonderful stay at your relaxed and beautiful hotel at the foothills of the mountains. After a few frantic days of golf and sight seeing in Marrakech it was wonderful to retreat to the Capaldi. Decorated in modern but traditional Moroccan style, the room we had was so spacious and quiet. The air con is there if you need it. We enjoyed the daily menu changes and quality of the food from breakfast through to dinner. Sit upstairs on the roof of the restaurant for pre-dinner drinks and watch the sun go down and the colours of the mountains change. Watched Casablanca in the private cinema on our last night for something different to do. Took the guided walk of three hours from the local town of Amizmiz. The walk can be tailored to your ability. We had lunch in the home of a local family. Lovely fresh bread and super hot tagine; mint tea and water. That was quite special. Thank you to our guide Abdu. Very knowledgeable and friendly. One word of advice - take walking shoes, trainers aren’t enough. Enjoyed the spa at the hotel as well. Good massage. Thanks for everything, we came back recharged and relaxed. Tracy
