Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel

Supposed to be disabled friendly! 9 steps from the street to reception, once inside there is a ramp to the bar,lift and pool areas but there are 3 steps down to pool area and several steps into the pool with a knee high hand rail. Food is dreadful.

This hotel is brilliant staff are fantastic and rooms and hotel spotless. If your choosy with food this may not be the right hotel for you but we found the food good with plenty of choice. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Air con very welcomed and even had my hair done at the hairdressers within the hotel.

It was the second time we stayed in this hotel after having had a wonderful holiday in Alayie Kleopatra last year. We insisted that our travel agency found a place in this hotel also this year. We did not want another hotel. It was the hotel staff that made us wish to choose this hotel again. They were very welcoming, helpful, friendly, polite, well mannered, flirty and funny, creating a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. We were happy to meet the same people as last year. The sunbeds at the pool are limited, but we are not fans of tanning at the swimming pool. There were enough tables with chairs around the pool, so plenty of space to enjoy your time at the pool. It was nice to come from the beach at 11.00 and enjoy a swim in the pool which found itself in the shadow until 12.00 so we did not have to worry ab getting sun burn. I believe this hotel is not quite suitable for families with children as the kids' swimming pool is small and the bigger one is deep. The gym is outdated with older devices. There is an indoor swimming pool, as well. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned every day. The food choice is not very varied, but it is healthy, well cooked and tasty. I like it that this year one could find sweet Turkish specialities like Baklava as opposed to last year. I also find it very practical that one can get 500 ml water bottles anytime. There are 3 entertainment shows to enjoy during a 7 night stay which is perfect as you also have time for walks to the city center and the harbour which during the night offer an incredible and impressive view. Alanya is a night city and if you are lucky you can see the waiters dancing in syncron in the restaurants. There are many activities and trips that one can undertake from local agencies. The beach is very close to the hotel(1 min)and is wide, with lovely ticker sand and very warm water. The view with the mountains and the sea turn Alanya into a paradise. On the water one can admire the pirate ships and the paragliding. If we ever visit Alanya again, we will definitely go to this hotel as it suits our expectations and idea of a perfect holiday. We are grateful to the hotel personnel for making our stay wonderful!!!

Before coming to this hotel I was quite sceptical because of the comments that I’ve read about it. 1. Room: clean and tidy. Housekeeping every other day because we didn’t need more. We weren’t pleased with our room at first because we don’t like the idea of being so close to the road (1st floor)…we slept one night there and then they moved us without issues where we requested, reception was quite helpful and we really appreciated their gesture. 2. Food: the most controversial subject. Restaurant is at 6th floor. If you only like fast food /pizza/pasta/nuggets /fries or you have kids with these preferences only, then this hotel is not for you. THEY COOK NORMAL EUROPEAN FOOD, VERY TASTY AND DELICIOUS. Whoever denies clearly they are lying or they are not used to eat soups, great salads, grill , sauté, vegetables etc. Breakfast is not international, therefore it’s european. You find breads, eggs, vegetables, pastries, cereals, all sorts of cheese etc. Whoever has all inclusive they can get water all the time from the fridge and they can take to room as well. 3. Reception: they are very kind and friendly and they helped us with whatever we needed, the only think we didn’t like was the fact that we asked for late checkout and we were guaranteed this but last day when paying we’ve been informed we cannot. After some discussions, we kept the room for late checkout but paid extra 30€. 4. Waiters: friendly and pleased with their service. 5. Close to the beach, 5 min away from the beach, on the main road, good location.
