The resort nestled just beside backwaters is one of the best in terms of location, facilities. Recreational facilities include cycling, gym, indoor sports which made our stay enjoyable. Food was awesome including the multicuisine buffet breakfast. The pool was fantastic with gorgeous views.

They have spacious rooms. The serve freshly prepared food. The seafood was awesome. There are lot of open areas, garden by the pool and right at the bank of vembanad lake. Lake view makes you feel calm and relaxed. Hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. Vishnu and his team at the restaurant were very proactive and helpful.

The resort is very beautiful right next to the river and offers amazing views. The staff is very courteous and friendly. The rooms are also clean and nice. I enjoyed my visit and will definitely come again. Very relaxing and peaceful property away from the city.

This resort is one among the best that we recently visited. The rooms, the serene location, the competent staff and standard of food were all outstanding. It is clear that the place was were very professionally managed. Highly reccomended

Fantastic find in the heart of the backwaters. Right on the lake with serene views and wonderful ambience. The staff were so attentive, spa/massage excellent and the pool is great for a dip- especially at sunset. Rooms are big and well equipped. I would say “classic/traditional” in design, not modern, but characterful. The breakfast was plentiful and restaurant menu extensive, well priced and delicious. Wish I’d stayed longer to savour more of the options! A few nice (free) extras were a pleasant surprise during my stay, including a high-tea mid afternoon, followed by a short cooking class. The staff can also assist with boat trips which pick up directly from their own private jetty! I recommend this resort 100% and the friendly, polite staff make it feel so welcoming.

Beautiful is an adjective that describes most of the state of Kerala. For this place overlooking the vembanad lake I will call it mesmerizing, tranquil, quiet, peaceful, green soothing to the eye. And much much more. vembanad lake stands true to its title of being the longest lake in the country. Spend time by the lake looking out at the local fishermen in a small boat pushing forward looking for their catch. Or the house boats floating in the wanderlust of the lake. Chinese Fishing nets in the lake by the property add to the oompah of the site. Sit back, relax and enjoy your vacation/staycation/weekend sojourn. Spacious airy rooms and hammocks by the lake side tempt you to take the siesta you been longing for, need not worry about the time of the day. Cheenawala will help you with you cravings of the soul and stomach.
