We've been going every year in this hotel, it's so close to the sea and the forest, just perfect. The views are fantastic, the air is clean, the beach is wonderful. The rooms of the hotel are very nice, there is big bed, sofa, desk with chair and TV, big bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries. The room also have small balcony with two chairs and table, where you can watch the see, or the beautiful forest. The staff is really friendly and helpful, especially at the reception. The food in the restaurant is good, there's always something to eat. There are teamed evenings at the restaurant with typical food, and the staff dressed differently. There are animators for the children and the adults with lots of activities like games, water gymnastics, darts.

For the second year we chose our summer vacation to be at the Mura Hotel. A wonderful hotel, on the first line of a wide beach, with fine clean sand. The area around the hotel is quiet and beautiful, with lots of greenery, alleys and forest. The room - cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view, was cleaned regularly. The food is delicious and varied, with plenty of fresh salads, fresh fruit, desserts, ice cream. A lot of entertainment for the guests - interesting themed evenings - marine - with fabulous costumes, seafood delicacies, also a Bulgarian evening, where, in addition to delicious Bulgarian dishes, the guests have the pleasure of enjoying Bulgarian folk music and dances, and foreign tourists get to know our traditional way of life and culture. Daily on the beach and around the pools, the animation team organizes games and activities for small and large, evening programs. On the beach there are opportunities for various water sports and entertainment. Congratulations to everyone working at the hotel for the great service and attitude. Thanks to the manager of the hotel, Mr. Kliment Kolev, who tirelessly makes sure that the guests feel good. I would definitely visit again with pleasure.

To start with this was not the 4* all-inclusive hotel we booked but was transferred here as our original booking was no longer available, we arrived on the 19th Sept At the hotel entrance, there was the reception, a shop and bike hire, and the main indoor bar, we received an a4 sheet of paper and your room key and left to discover everything else for ourselves, we had to ask where the lift was about a safe what direction the restaurant was we had to ask if they had any sort of map of the hotel and the area? we put the lack of customer service down to it being a young man with no training. The room was a good size and on the surface seemed clean with a good wardrobe space a dresser with large mirrors, a small stocked fridge, and a safe. ( items not included in the inclusive) although the bed was two single beds it came together as one large bed and it was very comfortable the aircon once again was very good the bathroom was a good size with a walk-in shower which had amazing power considering we were on the 8th floor and a not too bad hairdryer with sockets for a razor the towels were changed and bins emptied daily. The balcony railing was a little rusty the window screen for the windows was very rickety and the screen kept coming loose which meant we kept finding bugs in our room, you could not leave any food out because we got infested with ants there was a strange stain running down the dresser chair, the t.v had only one English channel that was news on a loop, the kettle lead would not reach the socket so you had to put on the floor to plug in, one of the sockets had come away from the wall, the shower had mildew around it and we had three days of a sewerage smell coming from the drains. The hotel was right on the beach with an allotted number of loungers for the guests to use, there were two small pools with one had sunken and broken tiles around the edge and the other had a crack along the inside, they did provide pool towels but you had to hire them daily, they did provide cushions for the sun loungers but you had to hire them daily, they had an inside pool and jacuzzi you got 5 mins free, but you had to pay the first 10mins, work that one out for yourself. The restaurant had a large indoor area and a covered outdoor area which was where the snack bar and outdoor bar were situated It felt more like a canteen than a restaurant they did have a good range of bread but the food was of poor quality just not as fresh as it could have been. they did have something called Dail around restaurant which was supposed to be a choice of three restaurants you could use which was part of the inclusive but it turned out there was only one still open. They did put on some kind of traditional dress outfit and dance while you were having your evening meal a couple of times. I witnessed the waiting staff and the dancer eating the hot food that was meant for the guests with their fingers and drinking the wine. We found out from other guests that we c

I feel quite sad reading some of the recent reviews as we had a really lovely holiday in Mura and enjoyed some fun evenings at the Gergana pool bar. It is not the Ritz, but you get what you pay for and we paid for a really cheap holiday. It was right at the end of the season so many places in the town were closed. We would happily go back because of the location. Good points - The staff worked hard and the place was kept fairly clean, we had fresh towels every day and could always find a clean table in the restaurant. The rooms in Mura were the same size as the basic rooms in Gergana and they were plenty big enough for two of us. The location is beautiful, right on the beach, with the nature reserve behind the hotel. We went for lots of relaxing walks along the beach and through the reserve which we really enjoyed. We had a sea view which was fab - I woke up early a couple of mornings and watched the sun rise. The food was ok, freshly made pancakes with fruit and honey for breakfast, salad for lunch. Dinner was a bit more of a challenge as I am a fussy pescetarian and most fish was fried. However I always found something to eat which is better that some all-inclusives I have been to. Bad points - Some of the staff were very unfriendly, notable exceptions were the Reception Manager, the bartender in Mura reception bar and Dorian at the pool bar who were all lovely. Yes the facilities in Mura were basic but we had the use of the Gergana pool and bar which were great. We could only order 2 cocktails off the menu but if we had paid an extra £300 we could have had the full menu. We chose not to do that. Our shower leaked but the cleaners gave us fresh towels every day as we used them to mop the floor.

I don’t normally write reviews but I honestly feel people need to know how awful this hotel is and there is absolutely no way in hell it has been given so many good reviews. I have met so many people while staying here who all feel totally misled by the reviews and the photos. So I feel I need to review it and let people know what it is really like. Albena is a resort everything here is shut the water park the bars the restaurants. The hotel is dirty, run down the pool is ridiculous tiny, the all inclusive is a joke no drinks included other than vile wine and beer the juices are watered down. Honestly please do not waste your money and stay here

I don't even know where to start and usually I will just make the best out a bad situation but honestly this was horrific. The food was disgusting, staff rude and aggressive, drinks vile. We made the best out a bad situation and ended up trauma bonding with other British people but had they not been there I would have gone home on day 2. The location is beautiful and that's about it. Nothing is open and it's miles from anywhere. There is supposed to be a snack bar but it's just an angry man making pizza and when asked if there was anything vegetarian he would shout and wave his hands round. I didn't eat any snacks when there after that. The pool man literally ran down an older lady screaming and shouting at her for getting in the jacuzzi! The sign is misleading and states you can have 5 min free but apparently you have to pay for 10min then get 15... it is also next to the indoor pool which is free to use so makes no sense at all. When we checked in we were given a sheet of paper with the times for food and rules, that was it. Luckily we bumped into some other holiday makers and they explained you can use the hotel next door but not eat there. They would give us some drinks. All in all it was cheap but it was horrific and I would never stay in that place again if you paid me.

Well where to start . This hotel was nothing but horrible . The staff were nothing but rude they hate the english . There is no entertainment at this hotel you have to use the hotel next door but dont bother as it was very poor . We were given tiny clear plastic cups to drink from which was pointless but if you were from another country then you were given a proper glass . The food was horrible and not much choice and was always cold what was left over at lunch time was put back on in the evening . There is nothing to do in the area no shops bars or resturants you have to use a taxi which can work out expensive . They have a jacuzzi and indoor pool but you have to pay to use them The outside area around the very small pools was not very clean . Tables in the resturant and other eating areas were never cleaned Never seen anywhere cleaned with a mop either . Hotel staff totally unhelpful . Guy in charge of the pool was really rude and arrogant . You would be very brave to book this hotel after reading the recent reviews that have been put up . Please dont waste your money to stay at this hotel because you will be bored very easy stuck around the hotel with nothing to do and no where to go ! Im just so glad i never booked for more than a week because it was not a holiday it was more depressing ! The only positive was that the rooms were cleaned and new towels given They had the reception area decorated for christmas with christmas songs playing not really sure and the staff dressed in christmas outfits which i thought was very strange and i didnt even bother to ask why . Please avoid this hotel because you wont enjoy it there are much better places to stay in bulgaria . I understand you get what you pay for but a week all inclusive for £650 pp to stay in a prison is not the ideal holiday !

We feel let down. We were booked into the Hotel Sluvana next door but that shut before we arrived and Love Holidays put us into this hotel with very little notice nor option. Firstly good point ; towels changed regularly and lovely smiling cleaners The reception manager was lovely. The other staff on reception rude The shop was run by a lovely cheerful man Confirm superking bed Bad points: most of the staff were rude. The Restaurant manager the rudest of all. Food didn’t cater for vegetarians. I basically lived on cabbage or peppers on rice for lunch and dinner. I’m also gluten intolerant. I was given a loaf of gluten free bread by the head chef. Thank you. As up til then I just ate fruit for breakfast. The promised vegetarian meals never appeared The vegetable and salad taste of chlorine. Pillows are solid Bathrooms smell of sewers Tiny fridge that turned off when you leave the room. No fresh juices. The English were not allowed to use glasses in the restaurant. We had to use flimsy plastic disposable ones. Bulgarian and German were given wine glasses There was no entertainment. We were told to use another local hotel but after a few of days they told us we no longer could use it. The lifeguard on the other hotel shouted at me for getting a ‘glass’ of water! He was very angry and aggressive. The area around the Mura Pool is dangerous with broken slabs and uneven tiles. The pools are miniature and cold and deep. There is no child’s pool Everything is shut in surrounding area.

Horrible nasty hotel and staff. I don’t even know where to start with letting people know how awful this hotel is. They absolutely hate the English please do not stay here if u are English. They are rude and treat us different from other guests. We can’t have the same drinks can’t use the sun beds the indoor pool, they are so rude and shout at us. We actually get asked where we are from and when we say English they say no to what we have asked for. There were a few English people in the hotel, families, couples and single travellers and they all said the same. There is no entertainment at Mura so we are told to use a hotel further along but can’t use our all inclusive there. There was a really nice man who worked in the entertainment and he said he felt sorry for us and was really kind to us. The rooms are grotty, beds are hard. I feel Really sad that we wasted our money and booked a holiday here. The drinks we are allowed are undrinkable taste like battery acid. We were buying drinks from the shop to drink. There is nothing else open near by, no restaurants no shops nothing to do. We will be making sure we let everyone we know how horrible it was and not to go to Albena
