Apartamentos Siesta I

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Apartamentos Siesta 1. Family holiday. 2 Adults and 14 year old. This hotel was very very good. Clean and tidy. Our room was a Studio and was bigger than I expected it to be, pool view and moden with fridge, hob, microwave and kettle. Room was cleaned daily by friendly staff who did a good job too. The pool was a good size and was always warm, plenty of sunbeds around it and areas slightly away from the pool with palm tree type canopies and sunbeds. Never once did we not get a bed buy the pool and we went down at different times of the days. The bar area beside the pool (The Red Lion) again was very good. All the food we had from there was reasonably priced and was cooked well and well presented. Think on a whole most of the food places in Alcudia were a little bit expensive but it was the same all over so we just went for what we wanted after all we was on holiday. Definitely will be returning to Apartamento Siesta 1 in the future for hopefully another fantastic holiday and time. 10 out of 10 from me. Well done Alcudia you did not disappoint.

Positives: We arrived second week in June and weather was hot but manageable. The Siesta I Apartments were perfect for a family holiday and we will definitely be returning! It’s located at the top of the ***** so ideal to walk to beach (15 minutes) and you can get the bus (number 322) to the port or it’s a lovely walk along the beach (40 minutes). The room was a little dated but extremely clean and had everything we needed and expected. We were a family of 4 with two teenage daughters and they managed on the pull out sofa but this was a double bed rather than two separate singles. We paid extra for pool view and had a great view to the pool and mountain. The transfer time was around an hour, which was great. You get dropped off very close by at the roundabout and just have to walk up the main steps. There is an accessible ramp at the front and at the pool area. As it was early June, we never had an issue getting a sunbed. The pool opened at 9am and there were plenty of parasols around the pool and in the garden area - I’m not sure what this will be like mid summer. The parasols are fixed and cannot be moved. There is a lifeguard on duty from 9am-9pm. You are allowed large inflatable rings but no lilos. The hotel and rooms are extremely clean. Room cleaning/towel change is 5 days per week. Every member of staff - cleaning staff, receptionists, lifeguard, entertainment and bar staff were extremely polite and friendly and made us feel very welcome. We ate at many restaurants on the main ***** and in the port. The Red Lion meals were tasty but the menu of the day finishes early at 4pm. They offer 2-for-1 on evening cocktails until 8:30pm and you get a free cocktail voucher when you check-in. There is a luggage room if you have to vacate your room at 12pm. The rooms have free WiFi, free safety deposit box and air con. There is a small ironing board, clothes airer on balcony and hair dryer. I’ve added a photo of the kitchen area. It has plenty of crockery, pans and utensils. There is a small freezer at the top of the fridge. Negatives - very minor niggles: We couldn’t think of any major negatives and nothing that would put us off returning. The walls in room are very thin and you can hear other guests in the early hours (very loud and inconsiderate guests but this has nothing to do with the hotel) There was a multi use microwave/grill we think it may have had an oven feature, which we wished we had, but couldn’t work out how to use it - but we also didn’t ask! And I’m sure staff would have helped if we had. The air con points towards the children’s sofa bed and whilst we were really hot, we had to turn it off as even on mild, the children were cold during the night. It also drips a lot if left on more than an hour but this wasn’t an issue and cleaner put a towel down for us.
