Stayed here in October, cocktails + bar snacks real good Pool good but cold in October Customer service extremely good, the lady that attended to us was super lovely, smiley and friendly. Would recommend renting car, would be fine if not but there’s so much to do and we felt like it would have been a lot of bus and taxi fees. Lots of nice beaches in area la bombarde was our favourite as it was small and quiet and good food. We also took a visits to la pelosa which we thought was a bit of a scam, we paid £6 for be on the beach (fine, we didn’t mind) As we was checking in to la pelosa we was informed that our own beach towels were forbidden and we must but THEIR own mats Over all the beach were stunning with white sand and crystal clear waters. We took a road trip to bosa which was a hour drive and was one of the best drives me and my partner had ever done, the views are insane and on our way home the sun set which was amazing, along the road there’s plenty of lay-bys where you can stop off and get some stunning photos. Hotel isnt far from Alghero but would be a long walk, alghero is lovely really beautiful local all lovely. THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY STAY PUNTA NEGRA!! We hope to return.

The hotel itself was very nice. Clean and well maintained set on the outskirts of a national park. The gardens and swimming pools were lovely. We had a sea view room which did look directly out to the sea. The balcony was very small and the room very basic. No tea/coffee making facilities. They also make it very clear that you cannot put your own items in the fridge due to health and safety -really!!!! We booked through Tui on half board basis for 7 nights. I really wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer. The hotel lacked a holiday vibe as did the nearest village which was dirty with rubbish and felt neglected. The reception staff were helpful and could speak English. The bar staff were very attentive and the drinks were good and not too overpriced. Some of the waiting staff were polite and friendly but many didn’t speak English and could be quite rude. The photos show beautiful a la carte food but I would say these are deceiving. I had 2 bad meals where I couldn’t eat the food. By the time the waiters came round it was too late to ask for anything to be done. The veg were cold every night and sometimes a very weird combination. I wouldn’t book half board. The breakfast had a reasonable amount of variety but very strict with opening time of 8 am but the cooked food which was very limited was on the hot plate at 7.30am!! This hotel had a lot of coach bookings coming in every 1-2 days so this did impact on food service. And finally it’s right under a flight path which we didn’t realise at the time of booking because most flights go into Olbia and it’s a long coach transfer

I’ll start with the positives, very clean lovely swimming pools, great gardens and friendly bar staff. Unfortunately now the negatives not a great location unless you like plane spotting, right at the end of Fertilia airport runway! But the biggest disappointment was the food, clearly no chef to be seen, under cooked meat and cold vegetables!! Also the waiting staff have no idea what they’re supposed to be doing and boarding on rude at times! Breakfast was very disappointing with little variety, and was very shocked to see that it was left standing 30 minutes before the start time of the breakfast, including the so called hot service option? It’s very sad to have to put such a negative review, but if the manager/owner spent more time looking after his paying guests than entertaining his friends it could be a great place to stay?? Finally if you like your food stay away!!

Sorry, but not even close! It can be seen that a lot has been invested in the hotel, but the operating expenses are done sparingly. # Reception: + introduction tour by the receptionist; + decent Internet speed (46 MBps); + sufficient staff in all departments, friendly and professional; - an envelope for towels and restaurant cards would not cost that much. # Room: + superb sea view (no. 209), spacious balcony with comfortable chairs, clothesline and clothes hooks (!!!); + soundproofing and AC ok; + minimally equipped, in austere style; - please do something about the quality of the toilet paper and the cheap plastic cups from bathroom and room; - the very hard and uncomfortable mattress made sleeping quite difficult; - I didn't understand the purpose of the “couverture service”, with a knock on the tourists' door at 10:30 p.m. # Restaurant: - quite expensive (10€ a sandwich, 9€ a long drink); - live piano music - an excellent idea, but the pianist was more enthusiastic than skilled - pianist in the evening, waiter in the morning; - too many waiters with no apparent business with the customers. # Breakfast: + pastries, fruits and traditional food very, very good, coffee was ok; + exceptional bread; - the classic international menu without standing out, with only few hot dishes (probably due to local breakfast customs); - supermarket juices. # Pool: + with salt water, 20m long, infinity pool, sufficient sunbeds and umbrellas (more than 70 pcs.), clean and large towels; - a lot of noisy cicadas; + very well-kept exterior: lawns, alleys, plants, perfect order and cleanliness; congratulations to the gardeners; + free access to a small sandy beach (apparently arranged by the hotel), with a little deep water with sand on the bottom, nearby with an area with rocks for snorkeling; 7-8 m from the shore stones and algae but the lifeguard showed us where to enter the sea without problems. # Neighborhood: + easy to get to/from the airport (15-20min by car); + at 800m (15min by foot) from the hotel there is a small village - Fertilia with 4-5 restaurants with decent food, 2 gelateria, 1 supermarket (with everything), 1 post office, 1 ATM, all located in the center of the village/near the church and the bus station. + immediately nearby there is a running/cycling/walking track in a pine forest, nature reserve. # Entertainment: - The Sardinian Evening Party: avoid spending 150€ - the barbecue part was ok (especially the Pecorino cheese, cooked in fondue style) but after that the food was tasteless, zero atmosphere, without music and without socializing; + even if the excursions offer is limited in the area (from my perspective), it is very easy to get to Alghero (15 min by bus, 1.5€ paid to the driver, timetable in the bus station at the church in Fertilia); avoid taxis, which are a real scam: 35€ for the airport, for example; + in Alghero you will find m

Overall I had a lovely time at the hotel. The setting is beautiful, the sea view room was very sweet and traditional, the pools and grounds are beautiful, the food was lovely and the staff were pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I was only there for 2 days and on the second day I went for a sea swim. There is a strong unpleasant smell from the sea there at the moment but I had heard that it was something natural in the water and that it is supposed to be healthy. Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed that my hearing was muffled and I had strong symptoms of an ear infection which I have never had before. I had to go to the doctor who said I have bacterial ear infection most probably caused by sea swimming. She took a swab to be sent to the hospital to find out more about the bacteria that has caused this. I am in a lot of pain, on antibiotics and pain killers and I just wanted to alert people of the possible risk of this.

Hi everyone, Still here till 7th of August 2024 Just would like to add a bit of extra to what already posted. I would rate this hotel is 3 stars maximum, only because we traveled alot and experienced something way more different for a same cost; however it is a small quiet hotel , pleasant territory and professional staff ( most of them) . Sea shore is enriched with sulphur clay mix of other minerals and sea ****, supposed to be very good for your skin and health but explains the stinky smell most of other visitors disliking. Rooms are very basic ( it is fine with us, we only need a comfy bed and a functional bathroom) ; with old central condition system , going no colder then +25 C presumably ( maybe optimal for a hot climate ) but it is still not up to our standards. Breakfasts are all the same every day, very poor choice for vegans & vegetarians . No fish , no olives, no basic fruits such as bananas or apples , only pineapple& orange & kiwi. A bit disappointing really. On a positive side is a gorgeous town nearby- Aghliero only 10min drive by car or by bus. Offering you a great choice of shopping and dining experience. To totalise everything from above this hotel is Ok but not Wow , great if you can get a good deal price then it’s worth visiting. I wish head manager reads all those reviews and improve things or at list try and visit some other hotels **** for more practical experiences. Happy holidays everyone
