I have travelled a lot in the Middle East and North Africa - and people in these countries are the most friendly and hospitable you will find anywhere in the world. But even compared to those standards, the staff of City Hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. They will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and help with any issue at hand - even sharing their home-cooked food with me (best food I had in Algiers!). So if you think about visiting Algiers, book this hotel! It has good facilities at a very convenient location, but most of all: the best staff you will find anywhere in the world. Highly recommended!!

It was stated that pets are allowed although this is not the case. Despite everything, the people in charge allowed me to keep my animal otherwise I would be on the street after more than 5 hours of driving.
